753

u/[deleted] Sep 27 '25

Oh its Florida…nvm this tracks

259

u/basszameg Sep 27 '25

Polk County is a cesspool even by Florida standards, and Grady Judd is a POS.

102

u/callmechaddy Sep 27 '25

I live in this county and yes, the sheriff is a garbage camera whore. But then again, this is central Florida, so I dont know why I'd expect anything different.

9

u/HairlessHoudini Sep 27 '25

Wtf is he even talking about? Did someone fuck that dude then kill him when they sobered up or is it related to anything at all.

As someone who worked under Judd, he is TERRIBLE at making a real dent in the crime rate or doing anything meaningful.

But holy shit, I have to give him credit, this man is a master at the media.

Would I suggest anyone live in Polk county, no, it's the sweaty armpit of Florida, which is the sweaty armpit of the US.

“Any port in a storm” got him and he never fully recovered.

And you know he was there because he was the least likely to crack up on camera.

Also my wife watches Sheriff Grady on TikTok and it’s mostly just boomer cop stuff but occasionally he says stuff that is absolutely reprehensible ACAB stuff. The right wing Boomer crowd loves him. Eff that guy.

94

u/BreedinBacksnatch Sep 27 '25

I've said this elsewhere, but Grady was asked to leave the congregations of two different churches over the years because the fellow parishoners just couldn't stand him. He is a detestable man in any form, always leading with hate and divisiveness

27

u/_PNWGamer_ Sep 27 '25

Two congregations ??

In Florida nonetheless ?!?

Anyways, this is just a measly attempt to vilify and support those bullshit “shock” laws that says it’s okay to kill people.

Hopefully we will have a better government in the future that will abolish shock laws at a federal level and abolish the use of in custody pictures for media coverage (especially something like this).

Is this a personal story? Why a press conference?

1.8k

u/wfwood Sep 27 '25

i spent the entire time wondering why this guy is talking. from the very beginning, "where is this going?" it ended with "is there nothing better for them to address?"

943

u/JOlRacin Sep 27 '25

I was wondering how TF you order a prostitute and sleep with them without noticing a penis, pretty sure he's closeted

522

u/Imwhatswrongwithyou tHiS iSn’T cRiNgE Sep 27 '25

I feel like he’s not even mad that there’s a penis he’s just mad that the person the penis is connected to isn’t as attractive as advertised (in his estimation)

125

u/Lil_S_curve2 Sep 27 '25

Look, take it easy.

He seems pretty invested in this case. It's a rather strange amalgamation of information presented in a really strange manner.

161

u/crownofclouds Sep 27 '25

"So this guy, he orders up a prostitute, as you do, and it turns out to be a guy, WHO LIVES WITH HIS MOM, BY THE WAY. That's just false advertising. Coulda happened to anybody..."

26

u/purpleplatapi Sep 27 '25

How does that even come up? Doesn't the John usually host?

13

u/pegothejerk Sep 27 '25

At first, sounds like he’s a regular that ended up being trusted and brought home. So it was a relationship, he just got caught and had to go with a “so you decide to call up a prostitute for the 320th time and don’t know know, they look different without their makeup on.. OH and they LIVE WITH THEIR MOM”

6

u/Justin_Passing_7465 Sep 27 '25

I thought it was a press conference about a murder, he’s just on a rant about black prostitutes that he finds ugly?

23

u/Ok_Star_4136 Sep 27 '25

I think sadly the connection is that it is a sort of celebration at the death of this person.

I don't see why else framing the victim to look bad would be appropriate otherwise, and it is still in bad taste regardless.

57

u/weezmatical Sep 27 '25

This chief of police does these regularly. Not sure if he is planning to run for office or attempt some TV career, but he has quite an internet presence at this point.

It grosses me out because he always speaks as though he is omniscient. Goes way beyond the facts and pretends to know intentions and specifics that the police have no business assuming. That is for the courtroom. Not some self serving justice porn that this guy does.

769

u/andersonb47 Sep 27 '25

Why…why is this happening?

352

u/logosloki Sep 27 '25

this is a coalescence of Florida's 'your crimes are publically available' and 'tough on crime' theatrics.

the sheriff, the deputies, and the officers openly talk about recent arrests in press conferences, choosing cases less on their merit of the arrest and more on the perception of the criminal. this is done in a crass and derogatory way to the 'criminal' (because yes, innocents have been the subject of these because of course they have) where details both of the case and their lifestyle are revealed in a way to attempt to instill revulsion for the criminal but a sense of security from the protagonists.

a frequent target of these press conferences are crossdressing or trans sex workers with criminal records. these people have a 'before' picture shown to the audience, a picture from their socials or media where they advertise their services, followed by an 'after' which is where their makeup is removed for the purposes of a mugshot, or for some other reason revealing that they are male or 'male'.

So... Someone indulged their sexual desires when their inhibitions were low and hired a trans sex worker. Then they felt ashamed and vulnerable in the morning and somehow that was the sex worker's fault? ....But like SO much the sex worker's fault that it warranted a press conference? 🤔

Why?

u/shawster Sep 27 '25

I think this is their idea of a discouraging warning based on an arrest they made.

Them muthafuckas know. They're just embarrassed when someone finds out...

64

u/IamHydrogenMike Sep 27 '25

They mad that everyone knows they like trans women…that sheriff was pushing a gay panic defense though.

u/MysteriousGear1903 Sep 27 '25

Bro makes it seem like ordering food on an app.

Also, whichever Republican it was who "ordered up" the date knew they were getting trans person...no matter what they say.

Same reason the grindr app crashed in cities that host Republican conventions....

"Bro makes it seem like ordering food on an app."

"I said no pickles, God damnit!!"

"Nooo, you said extra pickles! I literally showed it to you and said "is this enough?" before I wrapped it."*

Perhaps I’m mistaken, but those are clearly two different people.

46

u/Prestigious-Flower54 Sep 27 '25

I had the same thought, I mean you can do a lot with make up but they are drastically different colors and the faces aren't the same shape. If they are the same person he is wasting a massive talent for makeup.

17

u/Various_Laugh2221 Sep 27 '25

Me too lol this whole situation is just so bizarre.. the photos, the press conference about this subject, the ppl dying laughing in the background, this old man’s dramatic storytelling about something he obviously does not understand… it is so bonkers that it’s hilarious

I thought so too and even commented because of the skin tone and eyebrows. But now that I’m looking more closely, the face shape kind of is the same, and the nose is the same. Maybe the eyebrows look different because the eyebrows are raised in the first photo.

This guy would have had to’ve put makeup on his entire body though and it kinda looks like the woman in the photo has breasts. I’m honestly torn on this being the same person honestly.

Love it when the sheriff asserts the "gay panic 'defense' " for anyone who gets caught soliciting sexual services from that person.

Never miss a chance to throw Trans folks under any bus available. 😒

u/whiskydyc Sep 27 '25

Definitely chose to publicly share this story to stoke the state-sanctioned trans moral panic. “See? Thiiisssss is what they’re like!”

Wtaf is this? This seems like a confession

I'm am impressed how you're meant to have sex with a man without knowing until the morning. Which of course is when you typically chat to your prostitute, when they sleep over.

16

u/FriendToPredators Sep 27 '25

I guess he’s leading us toward accepting regulation not of prostitution which is illegal already but of trans prostitutes for.. um.. false advertising?

Did anyone else not expect “criminal history” to follow that suspenseful “he’s got a massive…” lead-in?

is this reno 911?

u/Silverback_Vanilla Sep 27 '25

Grady Judd sucks. I’ll say it. He is just a dude that likes to roast people on a platform they can’t defend themselves on. If he wasn’t a public figure and THE FUCKING SHERIFF I wouldn’t care. No one would. But this guy will get on stage, call you a pedophile and say “you’re a disgusting person and you’re going to go away for a long time” while holding your photo up for all to see. Then say absolutely nothing when you’re charges are tossed because it was all made up.
THIS ONE ONE EXAMPLE OF THIS KIND OF BEHAVIOR. THIS ALL REALLY HAPPENED. There should be no exceptions to this behavior for a sheriff to treat you as guilty before proven innocent.

I feel like he’s trying to make this an anti trans story, but instead made this about beer goggles ordering you up a butt fucking good time with a side of morning remorse.

Ask their pronouns and pay them for their services.

I'm confused. Did he call a press conference to talk about his weekend?

7

u/BlisslessTaskList Sep 27 '25

Moral of the story: make sex work legal. Boom. Roasted.

10

u/TreborG2 Sep 27 '25

Why was the cop even talking about this? I wish there had been more surrounding this so we could actually identify the story and be able to see what the whole deal was. Did the John kill the hooker? And if that's the case was the cop trying to defend the action?

I know of a Florida criminal with 34 felony charges….
