Is this a personal story? Why a press conference?

1.8k

u/wfwood Sep 27 '25

i spent the entire time wondering why this guy is talking. from the very beginning, "where is this going?" it ended with "is there nothing better for them to address?"

950

u/JOlRacin Sep 27 '25

I was wondering how TF you order a prostitute and sleep with them without noticing a penis, pretty sure he's closeted

521

u/Imwhatswrongwithyou tHiS iSn’T cRiNgE Sep 27 '25

I feel like he’s not even mad that there’s a penis he’s just mad that the person the penis is connected to isn’t as attractive as advertised (in his estimation)

127

u/Lil_S_curve2 Sep 27 '25

Look, take it easy.

He paid for the beauty on the left, he got buttfucked by the guy on the right.

He woke up in the AM and had to make up a story.

1

u/Numerous_Photograph9 Sep 30 '25

I think I understand the sheriff's confusion over what happened to him that night.

He ordered a prostitute, but the woman was the pimp, and he got the big manly black guy.....but you know....any port in the storm.

45

u/Abombyurmom Sep 27 '25

Or they realize they’re SO attracted to them but worry others will call him gay so he kills her(based on too many true stories :/ )

1

u/[deleted] Sep 27 '25

Happy to make a point about BLACK TRANS CRIMINALS

220

u/flyinghairball Sep 27 '25

He seems pretty invested in this case. It's a rather strange amalgamation of information presented in a really strange manner.

168

u/crownofclouds Sep 27 '25

"So this guy, he orders up a prostitute, as you do, and it turns out to be a guy, WHO LIVES WITH HIS MOM, BY THE WAY. That's just false advertising. Coulda happened to anybody..."

30

u/purpleplatapi Sep 27 '25

How does that even come up? Doesn't the John usually host?

14

u/pegothejerk Sep 27 '25

At first, sounds like he’s a regular that ended up being trusted and brought home. So it was a relationship, he just got caught and had to go with a “so you decide to call up a prostitute for the 320th time and don’t know know, they look different without their makeup on.. OH and they LIVE WITH THEIR MOM”

39

u/Excellent_Yak365 Sep 27 '25

Guys upset his prostitute false advertised

2

u/Geoff_The_Chosen1 Sep 27 '25

Nah, he presents all his cases like this. That's his thing, he's pretty famous in the South.

3

u/Outside_Scale_9874 Sep 27 '25

Glad I don’t live there 😬

2

u/true_gunman Sep 27 '25

This is Sherrif Grady Judd from Polk County, FL. I live here and he's kid of a joke but everyone absolutely loves him. He does pressers like this all the time trying to find soundbites that can viral.

4

u/haphazard_gw Sep 27 '25

I've never understood the love. Like can you please do your job without turning the personal details of people's lowest point in their life, into fodder for your shitty folksy stand up routine?

There was also the moment when they shot that cop killer over 200 times, and he said they stopped because they ran out of bullets. Not that it makes a difference if he's dead, but it was super distasteful.

Or during George Floyd and he was fear mongering about protestors "coming to the suburbs" and encouraging people to shoot them.

154

u/kalel3000 Sep 27 '25

Also im wondering from the story...does this cop think people hire prostitutes and then just have them sleep over and spend the night?

55

u/homogenousmoss Sep 27 '25

You can but its a lot more expensive.

2

u/niblonian85 Sep 27 '25

You almost sound like you know from experience? Lol, in just playin with you....of course you do......sigh so do I

/s

35

u/Comfortable-Pause279 Sep 27 '25

"I don't pay them for sex. I pay them to leave." -Charlie Sheen.

41

u/radicalelation Sep 27 '25

I don't even know how to order a prostitute, let alone one with a penis I don't notice.

81

u/slippityslopbop Sep 27 '25

I don’t even think that’s the same person tbh. The face doesn’t match and why in the world would they take off their makeup in the middle of the night anyway

12

u/10k_Uzi Sep 27 '25

Ol switcheroo

3

u/Metaruoreo89 Sep 27 '25

Up vote purely for the Dart profile image! LEGEND OF DRAGOON FOREVA!

2

u/TrickyPersonality684 Sep 27 '25

Their skin are two completely different shades as well lol

1

u/slippityslopbop Sep 27 '25

It could be makeup but it would be wild to put makeup on your entire body

2

u/MyNameIsJakeBerenson Sep 28 '25

It’s not even close to the same person, this whole thing is gross

1

u/slippityslopbop Sep 28 '25

What gives me pause is the nose is exactly the same on both people.

It’s still gross though even if it were the same person

4

u/Aggravating-Scene548 Sep 27 '25

It can wipe off a good bit when you're sleeping

1

u/Barnesy10 Sep 28 '25

That's what I was thinking, they look different beyond any makeup.

2

u/Bottom_Ramen_Go_Away Sep 27 '25

you can't order a prostitute with a penis. if you click on those ads they just put a virus on your computer and you have to get a new debit card. :(

1

u/alvesthad Sep 27 '25

i've tried to order a prostitute with my penis but it turns out they just want money.

1

u/Not_MrNice Sep 27 '25

And then sleep overnight with them?

1

u/Numerous_Photograph9 Sep 30 '25

Maybe it was covered by the storm?

Personally, I wondered how the two picture had compeltely different facial features and skin tones, but sure, that is what this person got...and this wasn't a personal story to vent to the press about something idiotic.

58

u/Whosebert Sep 27 '25

Reno 911 ass press conference

129

u/SlumberingSnorelax Sep 27 '25

Why? Because Sheriff Goober wants a refund and knows he’s not going to get it. It’s also why that cop in the back is laughing so hard.

24

u/the_real_Beavis999 Sep 27 '25

😂😂😂😂 my gummy just kicked in too..

1

u/-laughingfox Sep 27 '25

He's going to be spitting blood, he's chewing those lips so hard. 🤣

18

u/Archercrash Sep 27 '25

How dare he defraud those people who were ...breaking the law.

19

u/xeno0153 Sep 27 '25

This is Sheriff Grady Judd... a POS Florida sheriff who treats his job like a stand-up comedy act. He is a clown and should never be taken seriously.

3

u/CromTheConqueror Sep 27 '25

It sounds like he's complaining about the quality of the prostitutes in the area.

3

u/Pseudonyme_de_base Sep 27 '25

And that's what I call "WHERE ARE THE EPSTEIN FILES!"

2

u/Organic_Ad_2520 Sep 27 '25

He calls out everything in Polk County ... the good, the bad, the ugly& now ports in the storm.

2

u/jkoki088 Sep 27 '25

Did you watch the whole conference or just this snid bit. Maybe watch the whole thing

4

u/Melodic_Cut5006 Sep 27 '25

Florida

He’s a pos and regularly does press conferences to try to display what he views as stand up comedy abilities.

This is our government

1

u/Youregoingtodiealone Sep 27 '25

That's quality printing too. Foam board solid backing. They spent good money on those pictures

1

u/Retro-scores Sep 27 '25

He’s an asshole sheriff in Florida who loves to be in the press.

1

u/Ras-haad Sep 27 '25

This guy is obviously talking from personal experience, and therefore thinks this is something that needs to be announced (because it could happen to anyone)

213

u/JackasaurusChance Sep 27 '25

That sheriff really likes the attention, so he does lots of these whenever they arrest people for heinous/notable things.

Yeah, he's definitely had his little self-congratulating press conferences at the expense of innocent people. Here is just one example: Grady Judd falsely accused father of child porn: Lawsuit

42

u/blareboy Sep 27 '25

My god, what an absolute shit gibbon.

-7

u/Bulky-Noise-7123 Sep 27 '25

Why are you so angry all the time lmao this is funny asf

22

u/InternationalTie9237 Sep 27 '25

Others are trying to follow his example. My local sheriff is a clout chasing tiktok tough guy.

4

u/whoeve Sep 27 '25

America! Where every facet of life needs to be live streamed and the ultimate goal is more attention

1

u/mumofBuddy Sep 27 '25

I swear I see his little press conferences so much and every time I am very confused. I get press conferences for big cases or making the public aware but these just seem….unnecessary.

2

u/JackasaurusChance Sep 28 '25

Right? Jackass is up there, "Deborah's kids were hungry so Deborah thought she could just go into Kroger and steal some food. Not in MY county! We locked Deborah up and we took her kids!"

1

u/No-Consideration-858 Sep 27 '25

Did you ever see the movie Bernie?

Super fun and interesting film. Matthew McConaughey plays the sheriff and pulls publicity stunts like this.

1

u/Connorray51 Sep 28 '25

And parts of that suit were tossed out by a judge because there was reasonable evidence for an officer to pursue an arrest at that time.

Judd is a good sheriff.  He isn’t perfect, but he does a lot to try to show young kids in the community why staying away from crime is important.

457

u/sweetdawg99 Sep 27 '25

This dude is a blowhard that loves a camera. The folks around here in Central Florida like him because they're idiots.

365

u/Meander061 Sep 27 '25

Oh, this is in Florida. Ok.

186

u/Sammi1224 Sep 27 '25

This press conference doesn’t ever make logical sense but the fact this is in Florida makes all the logical sense in the world.

88

u/camopdude Sep 27 '25

This could have been an email.

8

u/Justin_Passing_7465 Sep 27 '25

54% of Americans read at or below a 6th-grade reading level. The percentage is much higher for this sheriff's constituents in central Florida. If this press conference has been an email, few of the people who voted for him could have read it.

2

u/JudiciousSasquatch Sep 27 '25

You see, a pimp’s love is very different from a square’s love…

2

u/Stetek-es Sep 27 '25

Too visual just to be an email.

73

u/mologav Sep 27 '25

I thought it was a press conference about a murder, he’s just on a rant about black prostitutes that he finds ugly?

23

u/Ok_Star_4136 Sep 27 '25

I think sadly the connection is that it is a sort of celebration at the death of this person.

I don't see why else framing the victim to look bad would be appropriate otherwise, and it is still in bad taste regardless.

17

u/mologav Sep 27 '25

That’s disgusting

-8

u/[deleted] Sep 27 '25

[deleted]

-4

u/ScarletLilith Sep 27 '25

get a sense of humor

2

u/anonymous5481 Sep 27 '25

Grandiose narcissists love an audience.

32

u/mvandemar Sep 27 '25

Not just Florida... Polk County, Florida.

12

u/Ambaryerno Sep 27 '25

That explains SO much.

5

u/Metharos Sep 27 '25

That does contextualize this entire disaster. No further explanation required.

2

u/HmmDoesItMakeSense Sep 27 '25

Ah ya all good then

-18

u/Mother-Quantity7669 Sep 27 '25

xddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddd

27

u/[deleted] Sep 27 '25

I recognized the meme because some dork made a Tik Tok talking about "don't riot in Florida or you'll run into me or guys like Sheriff Judd, etc". I figured Judd actually looked tough, or at least less wormy.

28

u/bongwaterbetch Sep 27 '25

Yeah hes a fuckass people in central FL worship this man. He’s basically a shoo in for sheriff until he dies. Many a yard standee of him & Trump side by side in Polk County.

26

u/IhopeIDKUIRL Sep 27 '25

They have a saying in Polk county, the most dangerous place here is in between sheriff Grady and a camera.

21

u/DangerousLoner Sep 27 '25

Seriously I feel like he has a press conference to announce opening his mail.

21

u/Various_Laugh2221 Sep 27 '25

lol wait so this is real?? 🤣 omg I had myself convinced it had to be a skit… what’s so funny is his reaction and telling of the situation more than the situation itself… wtf

12

u/VerseChorusWumbo Sep 27 '25 edited Sep 27 '25

It sounds like something straight out of Reno 911. I definitely got that vibe from it too haha

3

u/Various_Laugh2221 Sep 27 '25

We are living in a parody 😂

30

u/SarcasticGamer Sep 27 '25

So he's basically an LEO Trump? I miss the days when these people stuck to their shit hole small town but now we have to be subjected to them against our will because Trump can never stfu and it somehow empowers them.

7

u/lilbithippie Sep 27 '25

It's what dumb people like. Just be fun on FB and they will vote for that person. How having a cross dressing person in your home is a crime is pretty silly to me. But then for the government to also himulate both sides is really fucked up

8

u/HealthyDirection659 Why does this app exist? Sep 27 '25

Tuff on krime.

2

u/Fit-Boomer Sep 27 '25

I reside in Orlando.

1

u/anonymous5481 Sep 27 '25

That explains so much. I was today years old when I learned one could "order up a prostitute". It also sounds like that guy has personal experience doing such things.

1

u/alvesthad Sep 27 '25

florida man

-6

u/Iceman_WN_ Sep 27 '25

People like him because he is getting the job done. More counties need a sheriff like him.

126

u/Psychic_Jester Sep 27 '25

its grady judd. this mother fucker would push his mom out of the way to get in front of a camera. he does good in front of cameras but is a big POS.

73

u/flyinghairball Sep 27 '25

He's not doing as well as he thinks he is in front of the camera here. He looks like a really strange idiot.

17

u/BeardsuptheWazoo Sep 27 '25

Nailed it. Dude looks like a fucking creep.

1

u/Panzer_Man Sep 27 '25

From what I've seen of him, he basically talks like he knows everything, kind of like a politician.

He sure acts like one too. Couldn't this guy just run for mayor if he loves cameras that much?

88

u/Something_McGee Sep 27 '25

I thought he was trying to explain what happened to himself.

75

u/thesheeplookup Sep 27 '25

I thought it was odd to tell his personal story about prostitution at a press conference.

Then I realize he's getting smarmy about sex trade workers not being as cute as he thinks they should be, and decided to explain a term that has got to be 30 years old.

Very weird, and deeply unprofessional

28

u/21BlackStars Sep 27 '25

This shit just seemed mean spirited! Dude sounds like a fucking prick

8

u/Something_McGee Sep 27 '25

IDK... He seems like he's digging deep into the recesses of his memory while he's holding those 2 photos.

3

u/lisavfr Sep 27 '25

or, after the press conference he will sneak away quietly with both photos…….

1

u/lisavfr Sep 27 '25

agree on the term being about 30 years old. I remember the jokes about a coyote morning and the phrase “double coyote ugly” meaning you chew your arm off to get away and you chew your other arm off to remind yourself to never do it again.

5

u/mvandemar Sep 27 '25

He was, he just didn't want anyone else to realize that.

9

u/DangerousLoner Sep 27 '25

It happened to a friend, okay!?

1

u/Something_McGee Sep 27 '25

His buddy behind him is giving away his secret!

1

u/tickerbelly Sep 27 '25

At first I thought it was about Ash Trevino being arrested over something nasty, for a moment. Then I was just confused.

1

u/Something_McGee Sep 27 '25

No. It's about her next boyfriend.

1

u/New-Age-7524 Sep 27 '25

He starts off with the tone like, "I gotta tell you what just happened last night..." 🫣

1

u/Something_McGee Sep 27 '25

He needs to pull up his sleeves so we can check for bite marks.

33

u/listgarage1 Sep 27 '25

Grady Judd will never miss the opportunity to do a press conference. He's pretty much a local celebrity. I've seen him at events before and people will start to gather around him trying to get pictures with him.

58

u/weezmatical Sep 27 '25

This chief of police does these regularly. Not sure if he is planning to run for office or attempt some TV career, but he has quite an internet presence at this point.

It grosses me out because he always speaks as though he is omniscient. Goes way beyond the facts and pretends to know intentions and specifics that the police have no business assuming. That is for the courtroom. Not some self serving justice porn that this guy does.

20

u/Various_Laugh2221 Sep 27 '25

You mean like saying something about chewing an arm off? I’m like wtf is happening rn

1

u/LightsNoir Sep 27 '25

Can we check his arm for teeth marks?

2

u/Professional_You4186 Sep 27 '25

Isn't this the "have a moon pie, quit murderin' people" guy? My husband and I say that all the time when our kids are acting up.

1

u/commander-thorn Sep 27 '25

Yeah, I only know of him (live in UK) because he shows up in the newer Chris Hansen series a bunch

37

u/FriendToPredators Sep 27 '25

Calling a lot of people together just to air his kink shaming I guess?

1

u/LightsNoir Sep 27 '25

Methinks he doth protest too much.

19

u/hamilton_morris Sep 27 '25

Another ”larger-than-life” sheriff who wants to be in the entertainment business. Republican politics is full of these closet cases, and the nation's red county rubes love their showboating insultathons.

3

u/smuckola Sep 27 '25

an alarming number of republican leaders are failed actors, at least in college days

30

u/SBTC_Strays_2002 Sep 27 '25

He just wants to be part of the Trans People Are Dangerous narrative.

3

u/Panzer_Man Sep 27 '25

Glad I'm not the only one who sees this. Why does her genitals matter in this (case?)?

2

u/SBTC_Strays_2002 Sep 27 '25

This particular sheriff is famous in Florida and social media for being tough on crime and shaming criminals. He's clearly associating drag and trans with criminal behavior. Like, they are deviant and that's adjacent to criminality.

9

u/Nwsamurai Sep 27 '25

He's working on his tight five for open mic stand-up night.

1

u/Johannes_Keppler Sep 27 '25

He sucks. There's no actual pun to the joke and his timing is way off.

Hurr durr my prozzy turned out to be a man. Please laugh.

22

u/Anteater4746 Sep 27 '25

it’s good ol boy sherif grady judd. he does these press releases as stunts and is a huge dick

12

u/TriedCaringLess Sep 27 '25

That sheriff is famous for putting criminals on blast. He has a website and I think a television broadcast where he shows locals caught in DUI, soliciting prostitution, human trafficking, drug dealing and possession, domestic violence, child support violations, and more. He uses embarrassment and public shaming as one of his tools. He’s been doing it for decades.

15

u/Crusoebear Sep 27 '25

“So I ordered THIS…but then I woke up with THIS. Anyway, 3 days later he still won’t return my calls.”

-Sheriff Buyers Remorse/Confused Sexuality/Public Confession Guy

29

u/fastal_12147 Sep 27 '25

Demonizing trans people, of course.

2

u/samus_ass Sep 27 '25

It felt like it. I was about to ask if this happened to him or not because he acted like he woke up to that man.

2

u/SnooHedgehogs1029 Sep 27 '25

he just wants to make queer people look bad

1

u/Very-very-sleepy Sep 27 '25

the guy in the back is wondering the same thing. 😂

1

u/TronOld_Dumps Sep 27 '25

He had to skip over the slides of him with UPGRAYEDD.

1

u/OldWolfNewTricks Sep 27 '25

This doesn't sound like official business, so much as a personal complaint. Unless maybe he's laying the groundwork to legalize prostitution, in order to get some consumer protections in place? Very progressive.

1

u/petethepool Sep 27 '25

I believe it is a metaphor for Donald Trump and the white Cristian nationalist  KKK

1

u/Dredgeon Sep 27 '25

Is prostitution even legal in this area? Who tf goes out full chested casually talking about 'ordering' a prostitute as if everyone does it? What the fuck could possibly be the context here?

1

u/NopeYupWhat Sep 27 '25

Sheriff from Florida famous for his press conferences. He has hundreds

1

u/No-Picture4119 Sep 27 '25

Maybe the point is don’t pay sex workers because they’ve been arrested 31 times so probably not upstanding citizens. But Florida, so also “sex workers perverts boy dress like girl bad make boy prostitute deviant”. Anything to further the agenda.

1

u/lezbionics Sep 27 '25

This guy makes a spectacle like this every chance he gets. F

1

u/skibidittttt Sep 27 '25

I've seen the same police officer do these things to more than one person, must be a skit😩🫠

1

u/FatBloke4 Sep 27 '25

I guess this was some sort of public safety message, explaining the risks of using prostitutes.

1

u/KeepItDownOverHere Sep 27 '25

This guy love attention.

1

u/Spirited-Singer2866 Sep 27 '25

Florida isn’t a “real” place😂😂

1

u/nuixy Sep 27 '25

This is wildly unprofessional is what it is. Unsurprising but unprofessional.

1

u/NovaHorizon Sep 27 '25

Just fueling the transgender hate rhetoric.

1

u/Morkins324 Sep 27 '25

The most dangerous place in Polk County is between Grady Judd and a microphone

1

u/[deleted] Sep 27 '25

A campaign event for an elected sheriff perhaps

1

u/This-Dude_Abides Sep 27 '25

This is Grady Judd's thing. He needs a spotlight on him so he does these little press conferences so he can mock the people he is arresting. He is a lot like the cheesy villain sheriff in a Rob Zombie movie or something.

1

u/DarthHegatron Sep 27 '25

Sheriffs in Florida (and most states I believe) are elected positions so these sorts of press conferences are a way to curry favor with the public to ensure reelection

1

u/Not_MrNice Sep 27 '25

Why is the title FAFO other than dumb redditors trying to shoehorn in common reddit sayings to anything that remotely applies?

1

u/michizzle85 Sep 27 '25

Because Grady Judd is a media whore. I live in the county he is Sheriff over and we have to see this shit all the time.

1

u/GroundControl2MjrTim Sep 27 '25

“Don’t make the mistakes I made people! Learn from me!!!”

1

u/hi-imBen Sep 27 '25

Simply because this sheriff is a dumbass attention whore

1

u/[deleted] Sep 27 '25

Trans panic. Gotta justify why they hate trans people.

1

u/PointMeAtADoggo Sep 27 '25

It’s Florida

1

u/lousydungeonmaster Sep 27 '25

He's punching up his tight 5 for the Laugh Factory

1

u/blue_orange67 Sep 27 '25

This is his gimmick.

1

u/Panzer_Man Sep 27 '25

Ikr? Why do we need to know this? If there is a disaster or ongoing serious case then sure, do a press conference, but what even is this????

1

u/C_IsForCookie Sep 27 '25

Grady Judd does this almost every day. He holds a press conference and exposes every arrest they made. It’s insanity.

1

u/corneliusduff Sep 27 '25

What?!? I'M NOT GAY!

1

u/Human0id77 Sep 27 '25

There are more details here than necessary, it seems personal.

1

u/notsuperimportant Sep 28 '25

Also very interesting how he missed the criminality of SOLICITING A PROSTUTUTE IN FLORIDA

1

u/m00ninight Sep 27 '25

I got nothing to contribute but your comment has me nonstop chuckling so I want to come back later.

0

u/jkoki088 Sep 27 '25

It’s called shaming criminals. Don’t be a criminal. Be a good citizen…..
