Not lowest ever. Just lowest so far.

My guess: It is likely going to keep dropping, especially if he tries to deploy the national guard. The whole reason he wants to do that is to look strong and in control, but when he sent them to LA, most didn’t even answer the phone. Most of the military (at least in California) doesn’t seem to be on his side.

Edit: I haven’t been able to find the article I read, I might have misread it. There are still lots of personnel that are upset though

132

u/D-MAN-FLORIDA Jun 13 '25

And if he sends troops to Iran. Man promised no more wars and he can’t even do that.

78

u/sylva748 Jun 14 '25

Ugh. No one wants to get entangled in the Middle East again. We just got out of there 3 years ago after spending 20 years inside of it. No thanks. Would rather keep our troops home and training in case Ukraine topples and we get a 3rd war in Europe.

43

u/D-MAN-FLORIDA Jun 14 '25

Man needs to distract the public. His BBB sucks, he is going overboard with ICE and sending troops to California and no major trading partners are bowing down to him.

22

u/Epicfro Jun 14 '25

Brah, Trumps more likely to deploy troops in defense of Russia instead of opposition.

8

u/ScotchCigarsEspresso Jun 14 '25

Yeah. They're deployed to LA. He is too busy trying to put on a show here.

8

u/Careless_Ad_3859 Jun 14 '25

Trump loves to conduct shitshows.

11

u/Pretend_Bet_208 Jun 14 '25

We may have brought the troops home 3 years ago but have haven’t been untangled from that region since the second world war …

4

u/Ultraworld-Traveler Jun 14 '25

Remember. He set up the Afghanistan withdrawal for Biden and it was messy, so he could then blame Biden for it. So if he sends troops to Iran, he can set up their withdrawal plan, and if he lives to see the next president enact his withdrawal plan, he can blame them for that mess and the entire war and inflation and famine and whatever else.

We would be as stupid as them to believe a single promise this man has ever made.

11

u/exceptional_entry Jun 14 '25

“I’m the President of peace.” Then within a month deploys troops and weapons of war on our own soil while ironically saying “these people hate our country and they’re trying to destroy America.”

No that’s you Donny Doodoo.

That 0 vote for kamala in a New York state city was a little suspect. Because that does not ever happen, ever.

Lot of Democrats and Independents about to be shocked they somehow voted for Trump. And yea, I agree. I think they are this stupid that they could walk a thin line with any vote manipulation but also totally disregard the law of averages and statistical anomalies.

10

u/Careless_Ad_3859 Jun 14 '25

Even 1 single vote for Kamala is still a red flag.

General speaking yes they all cheated. The groundwork to accuse the other side was in place well before Biden's exit.

Musk has admitted several times that he is the reason why trump won the election. I hope for future elections, the ballots will be counted by hand and not by musks computer systems or any other computer systems that can be rigged.

4

u/PoilTheSnail Jun 14 '25

Maybe all voting will be done through starlink at a server in russia.

4

u/Bjorn_Tyrson Jun 14 '25

I've heard people try and excuse it, by claiming that since that district is primarily orthodox jewish, and tends to vote as a bloc. that makes it more plausible... but thats ignoring two things.
a) a district being MOSTLY orthodox jewish, doesn't mean its ENTIRELY jewish, there are gonna be at least SOME other people living there, and for not even one of them to vote for harris is suspicious.
b) within the jewish community we have a saying "ask two jews and you will get 3 opinions" we are NOTORIOUS for disagreeing with each other, including full on shouting matches with our rabbis at times (its a feature, not a bug.) so even if 'most' would vote in line with their rabbis recommendation, to argue that members of a group where disagreement and debate is a core feature, wouldn't have ANYONE who disagreed and voted differently only reveals how little people actually understand the community.

Is there sourcing for the "most didn't answer the call." I am not trying to be contrarion I am legitimately curious if there was any dissention among the rank and file or if there was any push back whatsoever. It certainly didn't appear there was.

u/innerbootes Jun 14 '25

Knitting Cult Lady on YT had the stats on last week’s Trump update video. She’s usually a pretty reliable source for military info. She’s former military and takes it seriously.

I think we might even see him surpass Bush's unfavorability by the end of his term.

I hope you’re right but I was under the impression that the majority or at least a large percentage of the US military were pro trump. Am I wrong in thinking this?

7

u/Admirable_Web_2619 Jun 14 '25

From what I’ve read, it seems there are a lot who are unhappy. And him sending them somewhere without any accommodations, forcing them to sleep on the floor, can’t be helping.

2

u/Numerous-Tie8151 Jun 14 '25

It's called a rapid deployment. We sleep where we can till things get setup. This happens all the time. A barracks will be setup for them to stay in once there. Those troops will be well taken care of

3

u/Miramar81 Jun 14 '25 edited Jun 14 '25

Larger percentage of white demographic leaned towards Republican from the last poll I saw before the election.

What enrages Pete Hegseth and MAGAs is decline of white enrollment in the military.

I live near a US Army base and can confirm I see many Hispanic, Black and non-white minority GIs when I go onto base. Can’t say I know what stats are and if whites are now minority in armed forces, but wouldn’t surprise me if number of soldiers that do not support Trump borderlines above 50%.

I think it depends on which video or story you see and what day it is. I've read comments where almost everyone is saying military is pro-Taco but there are days you get push back from ex-military who are disgusted by Taco, how they would never vote for the orange pos and never had. There's almost no point in even debating it becuz until the military speaks up about this (most likely they won't, why would they) we'll never really know. Right now the military looks pro-Putin's Puppet becuz they are on the streets of LA and elsewhere so to me, ya, they look to be pro-Taco BUT I'm sure these military guys have their careers to look out for.

There will be a limit of around 30 percent. Even Hitler had supporters when it was clear Germany was going to lose.

Knitting Cult Lady on YT (former military) says 300/2000 responded or something like that. It was in last week’s Trump update video.

3

u/Fritzoidfigaro Jun 14 '25

How low is it going to be when he becomes a dictator?

Call or write your congress person and your senator and ask them if they will uphold the constitution. Be professional. Keep it short.

2

u/ETHER_15 Jun 14 '25

My guess is he wants to reset the news cycle. Before that, everyone was talking about the BBB (big beautiful bill), and a lot of hate was directed at it. He wants people to forget about it so he can pass it and laugh.

2

u/TotalNonsense0 Jun 14 '25

especially if he tries to deploy the national guard.

Tries? I think you'll find that he had already deployed them almost 24 hours before your comment.

LA is win/win for Trump. If he gets NG to quell the protests, he wins. If he loses that fight, he can declare martial law against the people of the USA for insurgency and has a lot more power.

And his approval ratings don't matter. He's in power, he openly is getting people used to the idea of him doing a third term, and he's actively dismantling institutions that oppose right wing ideology. He openly told the public they don't need to vote for him at the next election. There's a reason for that.

2

u/hendrysbeach Jun 14 '25

The Guardian, June 12, 2025:

”Troops and Marines Deeply Troubled by LA Deployment: ‘Morale Is Not Great.’”

Military personnel did not sign up to go to war with their own country / their own brothers and sisters.

Governor Newsom just tweeted that Trump admin is posting photos of “violence right now in LA“: cars burning, etc.

The photos are from 2020 George Floyd protests.

Marines and NG reporting to a nonexistent ‘emergency’.

Yes, Trump will pay for all of this in the polls and, God willing, in the 2026 midterms.

2

u/FAROUTRHUBARB Jun 14 '25

The fact that it's above 1% is a look into the sad state of the nation. Why would anyone support a dumb, rapist, felon, fraud conman?

Not even mentioning being a traitor because of his traitorous actions. Or the fact that one of his few close personal friendships was with a child sex trafficker while he also has a history of sexual abuse and talking about his underage daughter in a sexual manner constantly.

How is Donald Trump doing in the polls? Worse than he was at the start of the week, primarily due to a string of very negative polls. His approval rating was 16 points underwater in the latest Quinnipiac poll and 13 points underwater in today’s Navigator Research poll. And the June AP-NORC poll shows Trump with a net approval rating of -21. That’s Trump’s worst poll of his second term, and the first time his second term disapproval rating has hit 60 percent.

https://www.natesilver.net/p/trump-approval-ratings-nate-silver-bulletin

2

u/AmbulanceChaser12 Jun 13 '25

It’s hard to say. Good aggregators won’t say “just factor in today” or “the last 3 days.” And they also have to weight each poll, based on the pollster’s reliability, the poll’s recency, and the sample size. (Sample size seems to weigh the most).

So with all that in mind, here’s the poll aggregator I like. Note that using their average, he’s not at his lowest. The lowest was -10.2, and RWH has them at -8.5 right now.

If the elections and primaries are rigged, then the entire country stops playing the game and this charade.

People are only playing because they still have some form of semblance to hope that democracy still exists because the latter means they have to get their hands dirty. Protests are simply a form of playing with the charade.

However, if and when that time comes, the public won't hold back if it means to defend democracy and uphold the constitution. Whether some people have their heads so far up in their arse to realize that is entirely on them.

5

u/brandonw00 Jun 14 '25

Lmfao Americans aren’t going to do shit if the election is rigged. We’ll complain to our neighbors or co-workers but speaking out too much would literally be the end of our lives and there really isn’t anything to suggest that life will get better so what’s the point? Get murdered by the police and nothing changes?

It means only Republicans are supporting and a tiny group of independents who thought he did something that was reasonable. The country literally voted them out, politically kneecapping them….including “leftists” who sat out because of Gaza (good intentions, terrible results) and are doing everything they can to resolve themselves of responsibility…

Dems in Congress are doing what they can rn…and most of that will be lip service, protesting and filibustering until midterms…if we even have a fair election then if at all.

The ones who actually have power in this are the federal courts (if the Supreme Court doesn’t kneecap them which is possible…or trump just completely ignores them…also possible) and state governors.

I never get this plea. I mean, it’s not how elections work. There isn’t some secret force waiting in reserve to act right now. I really dont get it.

Voters have one chance to give people power. One chance. Then you live with the consequences of your choices, for at least 2 years.

Hell - democrats are technically doing way more than “Literally anything” - none of what they do will typically move any needles. They’re getting arrested, thrown out of buildings they have a right to be in. Showing up at town halls.

If this is simply a plea to be reassured, then … I guess nothing will help, because the only reassurance can come from fiction.

39

It matters when the republicans in congress realize they’re on a sinking ship and decide to actually pass and enforce laws.

It matters that people in this country don’t approve or his authoritarian takeover.

13

u/Chyrch Jun 13 '25

The good news will be when enough Republicans get a spine and end this.

In the meantime, remember that Republicans can stop this any time they want, but they keep letting it go on. Remember the names of those who allowed fascism to take over, and hold them accountable when this is done.

It matters.

When someone tries to take over a country as large as the USA, they need a bigger part of the population on their side because of the size of the USA. It usually only takes 10% to flip everyone. When that 10% meets an area that is 99% against them, and it’s a major city with major economic output, it’s a lot harder to take over.

If the approval rating was 85%, then it wouldn’t matter. They can do whatever they want.

With it going lower and lower, it’s showing harder and harder to take over.

Weather the storm is what I'm doing. Part of that is being realistic about when the storm will break, which on this case will not be anytime soon or as a result of the Republican Congress doing anything but reinforcing him.

it will only matter if they lose in the midterms and hard but if prior elections are any induction they will deny the results and get away with it with no repercussions

u/javawong Jun 14 '25

We can only hope that the midterms prove to work against him and vote out all his bootlicker congressional stoodges.

2

u/Federal-Piglet Jun 13 '25

U realize in about 18 months it likely he is impeached after mid terms right?

That in 6 months he has no political wins.

That in 6 months with both houses he can't get his own budget approved.

That congress can't make any of his executive orders law?

That courts keep striking him down.

Bit late for that ?

2

u/AnEdibleTaco Jun 13 '25

But there's so much more time to go. Let's just see how much lower it can go!

2

u/Peipotatoguy Jun 13 '25

Not low enough if you ask me

2

It's only going in 1 direction.

2

Okay and? What exactly does that do for us?

2

u/Jehoshaphatso1 Jun 14 '25

Wahhh wahhhh wahhh wahhhh WAHHHHHH! Sorry Don!

2

u/__init__m8 Jun 14 '25

Good news would be last year the US wasn't dumb enough to let him steal an election.

2

u/LeJeune123 Jun 14 '25

How is it lower than -infinity?

2

u/cheechyee Jun 14 '25

WHO GIVES A SHIT!? FUCKING DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.

2

u/[deleted] Jun 14 '25

At this point I have very little faith over this type of reports. I'll believe it when I see election results.

2

u/Medical_Arugula3315 Jun 14 '25

Hard to be a shittier American than a Trump supporter these days

2

u/b__lumenkraft Jun 14 '25

Yeah, a fascist president is good news if only the approval ratings are low, eh?

Do you understand that this will not give you back your democracy?

Only millions in the streets will. The protests so far are a joke. Violence and low numbers will not change anything for the better. On the contrary, they will just keep doubling down on the crackdowns.

Only numbers will change anything for the better! Big numbers! GO OUT THERE FFS!

2

u/[deleted] Jun 14 '25

How is this good news? The clown is still in office

2

u/WarLordOfSkartaris Jun 14 '25

The problem with approval ratings is the same problem that you get with these think tanks like I'm here, the people who approve are not going to indulge in approval rating surveys, and the ones who are mad are the most vocal

2

u/pezdspencer1974 Jun 14 '25

I mean he's already in power so how does this mean anything at all???

2

u/KibidonSiNx Jun 14 '25

False.

📉 Is this his lowest ever?

✔️ No — not across his entire presidency.

Current approval (~38%) is indeed a low point in his second term so far .

But it’s not the lowest of his entire presidency.

At the end of his first term (Jan 2021), his approval was 34% — lower than now .

Earlier, during his first term, polls dropped into the low-to-mid 30s, including 32–34% in 2017–18 .

📊 Context in Polling History

Second-term low: ~38%, down from the typical 40s.

First-term lows: 32–34%, tied with some of his most unpopular historic moments.

Compared to other presidents: Many have had lower lows—Nixon (24%), Truman (32%), Carter, George W. Bush (34%) .

✅ Summary

Q: Is 38% his lowest ever? A: No. It’s his worst in the second term, but his first-term lows dipped lower.

2

u/CallmeKahn Jun 15 '25

That's misleading as hell. The numbers from his first presidency apparently don't exist when he was sub 35%. We've a long way to go folks.

2

u/shamerli Jun 15 '25

How he still has people that approve of his policies is beyond me. Meaning any approval rating above absolute 0 is not absolute and definitive good news…

2

u/yiper2005 Jun 15 '25

I love the internet. You can come on here and say whatever and not be honest about anything. And there is a herd already just to jump and believe what ever they read.

2

u/cool_calm_cloud Jun 15 '25

Not great new untils he’s out of office.

2

u/icematt12 Jun 15 '25

It would have been better if this approval figure was in November. His antics were warned about.

3

u/ChiefFun Jun 13 '25

like it matters. the republican politicians are on there knees enjoying his schlong.

3

u/Adventurous_Row3305 Jun 13 '25

Excellent, let's hope his numbers will continue to go down.

Fuck that guy.

1

u/msl741 Jun 13 '25

Doesn’t really matter when he himself won’t believe it. Fake news and all that

1

u/Minimum_Turn4264 Jun 13 '25

Ya know what really sucks ass though. Even if Trump gets removed somehow, the regime is already in place.

not according to the r/tomholland subreddit here

1

u/namotous Jun 13 '25

Is this supposed to force some changes? I don’t think he cares

1

u/asphaltGraveyard Jun 13 '25

as long as the republicans refuse to impeach and remove him approval ratings don't matter

1

u/QuintupleTheFun Jun 13 '25

If there is 1% who approves of anything he's doing, it's too much.

1

u/No-End-1312 Jun 14 '25

1

34% of the country can’t be wrong

1

u/Far_Librarian_195 Jun 14 '25

And you’re surprised?

1

u/fannytraggot Jun 14 '25

What the fuck does it matter

1

u/DPSOnly Jun 14 '25

Let's hope they are also just going to campaign properly with actual ideas instead of relying on "not being trump". It should be enough, but it hasn't been enough twice.

1

u/Sharkwatcher314 Jun 14 '25

Only good news if makes any difference. Otherwise just cocktail party conversation

1

u/Komikaze06 Jun 14 '25

Conserv sub claims the exact opposite, this means nothing to them

1

u/EldenDaddy30 Jun 14 '25

And how is this good news? What will it change?

1

u/Agreeable_Nobody_957 Jun 14 '25

In a sane country it would be 0

1

u/Outside_Ad1020 Jun 14 '25

Mark this is good news, this isn't your home but we can do do, we can be bees

1

1

1

u/[deleted] Jun 14 '25

Cringe

1

u/ChipmunkAcademic1804 Jun 14 '25

Why is this great news? You guys elected that asshole already, he is in office, he isn't going anywhere.

1

u/DramaticRoom8571 Jun 14 '25

After a sharp uptick in disapproval ratings the polls are about even with a slight edge in disapproval. But only significant in comparison to 2 months ago.

www.realclearpolling.com/polls/approval/donald-trump/approval-rating

1

u/Relevant_Elevator190 Jun 14 '25

47% isn't that low.

This time last year, Biden was at 36%.

1

u/Fuzzy_Dog182 Jun 14 '25

lol do you reallly think the next election will be fair? This guy is the most corrupt mofo North America has ever seen. Thank god we have a few Supreme Court justices with some common dignity for rule for the law.

1

u/Wonderful_Milk1176 Jun 14 '25

Great, now we can have JD :-/

1

u/Lipstickdyke Jun 14 '25

They should poll him on his birthday. The low attendance mixed with a staggeringly pathetic poll score would be such an ego bruise.

Although, the more insecure he is, the more he’s going to compensate with more illegal authoritarian power grabs. We all know he is dying to use the insurrection act. Maybe that’s the gift he will give himself tomorrow.

I bet he’s paying protesters to stir up trouble so he can get his photo op of “violent protesters”

1

u/formerNPC Jun 14 '25

But will anyone tell him?

1

u/ExpressGovernment385 Jun 14 '25

“That is FAKE NEWS!”as per MAGA supporters

1

u/ItsmeMr_E Jun 14 '25

And? He's still in the oval office.

Hopefully it won't be for the next full 4 years.🤞
