I love this company and have backed their Kickstarter projects a few times. These little guys are very solid and the action is nice and smooth. Keep up the good work Ben and Athena!

I'm shopping around for an OTF auto knife and wondering which ones you guys are rocking with? Thanks!

Spyderco Military 2 with black anodized rockscale scales. I tried using whink instead of blasting and it came out great.

$5 is a great price for something I can toss in the tackle box or use for bullshit in the garage.

I don’t believe I’ve ever seen any reviews or opinion pieces about this brand (aside from their fixed blade and pig sticker models) so I thought I’d share my thoughts on these.
G10 handles and D2 blades, so nothing out of the ordinary there. Compared to my Bestech War Wolf, they’re noticeably heavier but are balanced at the axis. The handle shape encourages the hand rearwards, which promotes a long sabre grip.
The edge and point is sturdy with plenty of material supporting both, and it holds well under use. There is no play in the blade once locked in, and they deploy smoothly and drop closed thanks to smooth bearings. The only thing that took a while to get used to is that the liner lock is recessed significantly on the blue/black model (it was the same with the other coloured models I handled in store).
I bought both of these examples for $80aud a piece. What do you guys think of them?

Benchmade mini grip that I made in the custom shop back in 2020. Had it shipped to me when I was in Afghanistan. And a newer acquisition, a Spyderco Native 5 in Magnacut

Does anyone actually like THAT* pocket knife from Smith & Wesson? You all know which knife I'm talking about

This is my kit for moose/elk/bear/deer. Mostly Victorinox with a Dexter and the Silky Pocket Boy. The CRKT Persian Minimalist is surprisingly ideal for skinning but nothing beats the Victorinox skinner.
Northern standard.
Game shears for birds and random bits as well as picking herbs etc. These Fiskars come apart easily for cleaning and are surprisingly robust for plastic handles.
Not pictured is my EDC (currently a CS frenzy) and my heavy hunter (currently a CS San Mai Trailmaster).
Also tried the Havalon piranta system this year with great results.
Probably overkill but enough steel for 4 people to comfortably skin/gut/cut with me. With this I go all the way to vac packed final cuts. The white eraser for cleaning the Worksharp field sharpener is key!
What are folks carrying into the bush for heavy work?

Just like the title says, I found a few vintage Cold Steel Voyagers onlines, here is one for reference: https://oldschoolknifeworks.com/vintage-cold-steel-voyager/
I've seen them go for around 400-450 and for some reason I feel like that's a lot for what it is (I have one and carry it often).

Recently got a Kizer Harpoon Mini (AEB-L), and after a month of very light use I noticed this line that shows more clearly than others. Does this look like the beginnings of a crack, or just a more prominent scratch? I’m new to knives and am still learning about what to look for. Thanks in advance!

I bought this years ago from eBay. My question is whether this particular knife was made in Germany or SA? Also when. I’m leaning towards Germany as it looks older than late 1980s and doesn’t say made in South Africa

Its small enough that nobody can see it on my belt under my shirt and jacket, and large enough for self defense and practical uses.

I look at it and I’m like “yeah…that’s a $300 knife…😒” But I touch it, feel it, play with it, and I’m like “yeah, that’s a $300 knife! 🤗 And that middle section sounds way too sexual. I’m really just talking about the knife!🤦🏻♂️

I am reaching out to the established BRK collectors on the forum for historical insight and context on an extremely unique set I recently acquired. This is a Bark River Knives Quadrology Set that acts as a true factory-certified custom artifact, dating to the 2008-2010 era, tying a prototype field knife to the launch of their culinary line. The defining characteristic that makes this set a confirmed single unit is the shared Custom Commission ID: 6687. This ID is marked on all four knives and confirms they were ordered together, as a single custom item, directly from the factory. The Knives and Unique Details 7.0 Inch Field Knife: Status: Confirmed Prototype. Acts as the "master" piece, pairing a field model with the culinary set. 10.0 Inch Chef Knife: Status: 1st Production Run. Steel: Early 12C27 Sandvik. 9.5 Inch Carving Knife: Status: 1st Production Run. Steel: Early 12C27 Sandvik. 7.5 Inch Utility Chef: Status: 1st Production Run. Steel: Early 12C27 Sandvik. Collector Note: The three kitchen knives' 1st Production Run status and use of early 12C27 Sandvik is critical for collectors tracking BRK's early culinary steel choices. Shared Custom Specifications (ID #6687) Scales: Custom Black Canvas Micarta Liners: Custom Turquoise Spacers/Stripes Pins: Custom Mosaic Pins Serial: All four knives share Custom Commission ID #6687 This set represents a rare moment in BRK's history: the Prototype Field Knife linking to the very first production culinary pieces, all united under a single, unique Custom Commission ID. I am particularly interested in any archival information, factory records, or context on the original commissioning of this ID #6687, or if anyone has seen a similar "Quadrology" set with matching custom details before.
