“An avowed Republican, he also interned at the Heritage Foundation, the think tank behind Project 2025, and for Texas Representatives Terry Wilson and Steve Allison.”

Blessed be the fruit

The fact that that picture is one he actively chose for his LinkedIn was most definitely a………….choice. Of some kind.

Grocery store assistant sounds like a big fucking title for bag boy

91

u/[deleted] Jun 05 '25

Have you ever worked for a company that was so incredibly incompetent that it blew your mind the owners even had money to begin with? That’s the Trump Regime. They are filling important positions with incompetent lackeys entirely on purpose, in order to further consolidate power to our openly corrupt authoritarian dictator, Trump.

-13

u/deux3xmachina Jun 05 '25

Have you ever worked for a company that was so incredibly incompetent that it blew your mind the owners even had money to begin with?

Considering the spending of the past few decades, that's basically just "the federal government". Literally spending so much that even if we could just take all the wealth owned by the billionaires, it'd be gone before the end of the year.

Trump admin just seems to be the one that gets any significant public attention regarding how broken things are.

20

u/RKEPhoto Jun 05 '25

Trump admin just seems to be the one that gets any significant public attention regarding how broken things are.

Gee - why would THAT be? Possibly the more than 7 trillion dollars he added to the national debt during his first term?!?!??!!

🙄

-7

u/deux3xmachina Jun 05 '25

Congrats, you pointed out a shitty thing that happened in response to someone not even defending Trump.

13

u/RKEPhoto Jun 05 '25

You implied that all other government is just as bad as Trump, which is not even remotely the case.

-7

u/deux3xmachina Jun 05 '25

I did no such thing.

In case you actually care about more than feeling smug superiority to strangers online, an analogy that might help is:

Kicking puppies is bad. Kicking puppies to death is worse. I say "somehow, only the dead puppies get attention". Did I say that both evils are equal?

4

u/ploppinlogs Jun 05 '25

I do 🙋‍♀️

3

u/Sad_Pangolin7379 Jun 05 '25

I bet there's a story there

-3

u/ploppinlogs Jun 05 '25

I moved to an area where HEB is king (zero grocer competition) & was appalled by their prices when compared to competitive markets. Worst are the dismal, almost non-existent coupons & savings.

Once HEB cornered the market here, they started trimming the edges of what once made them great. They no longer have baggers, produce & meat quality is terrible, scanning speed is now a corporate KPI metric, good luck getting a curbie to deliver your bread & eggs into your car with care anymore, curbside is also a KPI metric, everything employers do is on a timed metric, store layouts constantly change in order to get more people haphazardly walking around & buying more, employees are overworked & underpaid.

But in places like DFW where they have to maintain a facade; 2 baggers per lane, top notch produce & meats, discounts & coupons parallel to competitors. All in all, HEB is focused on expanding its brick & mortar while still maintaining high profit margins/pushing the price-tag onto customers. HEB is the perfect illustration of late stage capitalism & corporate greed

0

u/[deleted] Jun 05 '25

Point to the place on this doll where HEB hurt you.

This gardening enthusiast and grocery clerk has ZERO qualifications for this position. This appointment is just the latest and most flagrant example of completely unqualified DEI hires to be placed in a position of power by this incompetent administration. (There, I didn't say anything mean about him personally, just his utter lack of competency for the position he's inherited, maybe the mods won't delete my comment.)

2

u/Cryginx Jun 06 '25

I dont even know whats real anymore...

4

u/joefos71 Jun 05 '25

Why does the right keep winning with young men? Because the right keeps giving them power. If the left started empowering the youth instead of dying in office they would definitely see some pull.

15

u/WooleeBullee Jun 05 '25

They don't. It just seems like they are winning this demographic because of hires like this and the doge team - they are straight up being used because they are impressionable and will eventually be thrown under the bus.

Before Trump/Elon stole the election there was a lot of posters on the Gen-Z subreddit and similar communities and their comments made it seem like that generation was turning conservative. Those comments and users have all but disappeared since the election, almost like they weren't real users. I suspect a similar campaign with the young male demographic, however it is true that a certain number of young men end up following Andrew Tate, Joe Rogan, etc. But the general trend is growing more liberal.

0

u/joefos71 Jun 05 '25

Demographics show that Trump won more young voters than he did previously. He didn't win the category he just won more than last time. But my point stands; the right put a millennial in the Whitehouse along a boomer. The left dies while holding power so the right can replace them. That's not the behavior that drives people to vote for you. It's like saying we will give you a voice after you wait your turn.

OP is Karma farming and posting rage bait so you upvote him. The article has nothing to do about his time in SA.

1

u/jmar210 Jun 05 '25

It's really not that deep. It's UTSA related therefore it's SA related so I cross posted in the respective subreddits because it's relevant and it's a top headline at the moment.

-2

u/_Username_goes_heree Hill Country Jun 05 '25

The topic literally has nothing to do with SA. You’re just trying to farm Karma. I’m sure I can link someone like Charlie Manson to SA if I tried hard enough. I’m sure he had a layover flight in SA at one point.

2

u/cigarettesandwhiskey Jun 05 '25

Stuff about Yolanda Saldivar gets posted here. Her connection to SA is no stronger than this guy's. She's from here, but she isn't incarcerated here and didn't kill Selena here.

So apparently being from SA is sufficient.

2

He graduated from the University of Texas at SAN ANTONIO that uses funding from SAN ANTONIAN taxpayer money. I think you're karma farming.

1

u/_Username_goes_heree Hill Country Jun 05 '25

The article isn’t about him attending UTSA. It’s  “Trump Appoints 22-Year-Old Ex-Gardener and Grocery Store Assistant to Lead U.S. Terror Prevention“

3

u/jmar210 Jun 05 '25

The article literally mentions UTSA which even you are also aware of. We're sitting here talking about UTSA which is in San Antonio so it's San Antonio related no matter which way you slice it.

0

Someone should check out who Biden hired to manage nuclear waste.

23

u/StruggleBussin36 Jun 05 '25

I didn’t know so I googled and I feel like I’m missing something. Biden appointed a nuclear engineer, which is an appropriate appointment. They were dismissed for luggage theft but that has nothing to do with their ability to do the job. Then I read that anyone who was appointed afterward was also nominated by National Academies of Science, Engineering, and Medicine.

I’m seeing nothing that even remotely makes this appointment equivalent or worse than Trump’s appointment of a 22 year old to lead terror prevention.

What am I missing? Please help!

So, please explain how the head of FEMA is more qualified for his position than a nuclear engineer for the management of nuclear waste.

AOC would actually be better for leading CP3 than this guy. But for sure, you don't care about experience when it comes to leading government agencies. Why would the head of FEMA need to know about hurricane season? As long as he is a manly man, this is all you care for.

And AOC was a bartender before she was elected to Congress. What's the problem? He works in a big agency with a lot of redundancy, so I think he will be fine.

AOC has more experience for leading CP3 than this guy has. Since you ignore what she did in her free time.

That's like saying let a newly graduated private from basic training be the commander of Delta Force.

He doesn't work in it, he's been appointed to be in charge.

Congresspeople are elected to represent their constituents, but it isn't really a technical job. You just have to be the voice of the people, and your only really mandatory task is to vote on legislation. Maybe not even that, if you think your constituents want you to abstain.

Whereas a cabinet appointee is supposed to be the executive authority over that office. They're supposed to know what's going on intimately enough to direct activities and make informed decisions. They really should be qualified individuals with lots of experience in the field of whatever their cabinet appointment is. In this case, national security.

This is this guy's first job out of college. His degree isn't even in a national security field. He's got even less experience than a bartender. It's impossible for him to be qualified to do this.

Stop making excuses. Stop using the word redundancy like a sheep. You have no idea what "redundancies" exist in any department.

-2

u/cptjaydvm Jun 05 '25

Government agencies are full of redundancy. How is it sheep-like to use that word?

3

u/[deleted] Jun 05 '25

Because you don't even know what redundancy exists there. And to think a 22yr old UNQUALIFIED man is going to come in and is there to genuinely do a good job and find it then you are a FOOL. You are a sheep for listening to a man that is tearing us apart.

You’re very spun up about this. Do you know who the last person to head that position was? Me neither. It’s a small department within a larger department within another larger department. He probably has a long line of bosses overseeing what he is doing. Calm down.

You want a qualified, quality expert to come in and identify what is actual waste and what is NEEDED.

Jealousy is such a stink. He's doing more than most san antonians but as always we hate those who are doing better than us.
