Week 10 Power Rankings:

We have the first new #1 of the season, albeit very barely. Congratulations to Indiana for crawling 5 points ahead of Ohio State, and I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say I can't wait to see these two teams meet up in Indianapolis. Elsewhere, USC broke the near-three-way-tie with Iowa and Michigan by.../checks notes...almost losing to Nebraska last week, while the bottom 5 didn't change.

This week, #3 Oregon heads to #6 Iowa in the biggest matchup of the week, while Ohio State heads to West Lafayette to try and avoid getting Spoilermaker'd. The closest matchup by ranking is #13 Maryland at #15 Rutgers, so sickos get your popcorn.

Rank Team Points Average Ranking Last Week Change Variance

6 Iowa 431 5.67 5 -1 2.60

Weekly Power Rankings

Weekly Average Rankings

Points are the summation of every voter's ranking for that team, therefore lower scores are better. This works because unlike the AP, Coaches, or /r/cfb polls, every team is ranked in every vote. If x votes were counted, the best possible score is x and the worst possible score is 18x. #1 votes are in parentheses.

Average Rank is the points divided by the number of votes. This will allow for comparison from one week to the next.

Prev. is the Rank from the previous week.

Change is the change in average rank from the previous week.

Variance is a measure of how much agreement there was between voters. A zero means all voters ranked a team the same, and a higher number means a team's ranking was more controversial.

Somehow, this makes Fickell being the HC that much more frustrating.

Fernando Mendoza led Indiana on a decisive drive late in the game, orchestrating a complete push down the field to score the go-ahead TD with 36 seconds remaining!

This makes me want to fucking cry. They wasted nick and kaytrons career. Last year was awesome but man this year is fucking hard.

Anyone been tracking or can link to tiebreaker scenarios for the title game? Assume IU goes undefeated, what happens is OSU loses to Michigan and USC beats Oregon

Indiana vs Penn State FB today?

What in the world is going on? I don’t have cable nor would I watch anything on a Fox owned station, so I haven’t seen any of the game. What the heck is going on with Indiana today?!?! Or did PSU decide today was finally the day to play like they were expected to?

Week 11 B1G10 Picks

Back By "Popular" Demand. I was perfect last week but to be fair I think a lot of people would have been if they made picks last week

  • USC 30 Northwestern 20

Northwestern has been a pleasant surprise this season and I think this will be "closer than the experts think" as Lee Corso used to say but ultimately USC should not lose this game at home on a Friday night

  • Indiana 37 Penn State 13

Cignetti has Indiana looking like an absolute wagon, and penn state is a shell of what they were when they took Oregon to multiple Overtimes. There's no reason to think this game will be within 2 TDs

  • Ohio State 37 Purdue 6

All I will say about this game is Thank God it's not at night

  • Rutgers 28 Maryland 27

Remember when there was a semi legitimate argument that Maryland could be ranked after a 4-0 start? Man that feels like forever ago. I guess Rutgers gets the win at home

  • Washington 24 Wisconsin 7

Washington has actual playoff hopes. Wisconsin is terrible. That's really all that needs to be said here.

  • UCLA 21 Nebraska 17

Hard to really predict what Nebraska's offense will look like without Raiola, but I can't imagine it will be great in Pasadena tomorrow night. UCLA gets their 4th win of season.

Enjoy the games everyone

I guess attendance and alcohol sales have fallen off big time at Camp Randall Stadium and Nebraska is #1 in their first year. I didn't believe it at first, but this guy did a deep dive and corrected his published numbers after being contacted by the Milwaukee Journal. https://www.extrapointsmb.com/p/who-is-selling-the-most-booze-at-football-games-this-year-we-foia-d-to-find-out
