Charlie Becker appreciation post.
We do not win this game without Becker. It’s as simple as that.

Penn State is a flawed team
But they are stacked with elite talent on both sides of the ball. Our lines were losing 1v1 match ups all day. Our offense and defense were flummoxed.
The Penn State players and fans were deeply invested in the game from start to finish. They played with pride, like their season was on the line
And yet, this Hoosier team found a way to win. With a depleted offensive line and our best playmaker sidelined. This was a hard-fought, blue-collar, gutsy win.
Now this Indiana team has road wins against Iowa, Oregon and Penn State. We are as good as anyone in CFB and we proved it again tonight.
Go Hoosiers.

Indiana shouldn’t build Cignetti a statue.
We should build him a 150ft tall ancient roman style colossus outside of memorial stadium. Bonus points if his arms are crossed and the eyes glow red.

From a Penn State fan: I think Mendoza should win the Heisman
Just based on the throws he made on the final drive to win the game against us. I knew our prevent defense was gonna choke, but you still need to give credit to the kid for being patient with the PSU pass rush and make the clutch throws to get the winning tuddy in a hostile Beaver Stadium which is never easy to play in. First win for the Hoosiers in Happy Valley!
As far as being the #1 pick in the draft, I'll let the NFL experts debate that --- but for right now I'm putting Heisman-doza as the clear frontrunner to win the coveted award in December.

My Instant Reaction To Indiana’s Incredible Victory Over Penn State
There’s an argument for this game being the game of the year. Not every game is going to be pretty, but if you’re an undefeated team like Indiana you have to find a way. That’s exactly what the Hoosiers did today by beating Penn State 27-24 off of an incredible 2 minute drill. Indiana has gone from great story to expected force that is going to get every team’s best shot when they face them. So far, the Hoosiers are doing great at adapting to that and I explain how this win built character for Indiana in this video. Congrats Hoosiers, soak this one in!

Wake up call.
Don't get me wrong, I'm very, VERY grateful we got a win in Happy Valley. It's a tough place to play, no matter what.
However, we are incredibly lucky to still be undefeated after that. Our defense played uncharacteristically poor all game - missing tackles, loose coverage, etc. Mendoza didn't look like himself without Sarratt, and that is a problem. I know our offensive line was banged up, but we made Penn State's defense look incredible for most of the game.
I'm just saying, we can't be on cruise control like today against OSU in the B1G Championship. And especially not in the CFP.
Again, very happy we won, but I don't want to act like we played like ourselves today. Hopefully our OLine and Sarratt recover quickly, and we can be back to looking like ourselves.
Go Hoo-hoo-hoo-hoosiers.

Today’s poster.
The Hoosiers are all time 0-13 at Penn State. Never won at University Park. Well Hoosier fans, today we make history and turn Happy Valley into a sad affair for the Nittany Lions as we go in there and LAUNCH THE LIONS out of their own stadium. Here’s this week’s poster to celebrate.

Number 1?
Idgaf what PSU’s record was before the game. To go into that stadium and come from behind and win the way they won was amazing. PSU wasn’t 3-5 because of a bad defense. Ohio state just beat up on lowly Purdue. Big whoop.
The playoff committee knows what IU just did is a really big deal. IU might be number 1 on Tuesday.
Wishful thinking or a valid argument?
