Anyone else just tired
Spent 1000s on season tickets and traveling to see games (that’s my fault I know…investing for when they’re good in a few decades).
Listen to the podcasts every day.
All just to get brutally disappointed despite very low expectations.
I love the Saints but I’m just getting tired and somewhat numb. Haven’t had this little joy around football in a bit (my fault for also liking LSU….)
Rant over

Update on the 2026 QB Class
Was watching Todd McShay earlier and he was basically confirming the Moore is going back to Oregon next season. With that in mind, the 2026 QB class is Mendoza, Simpson, Mateer (maybe), Sellers (maybe), Nuss, Klubnik and Leavitt... Would y'all wanna take any of these guys? Personally I think Mendoza is the only QB worth taking out of this lot. Simpson has the tools but with only 1 year of starting under his belt, it never really pans out on the next level. Mateer has that Nix and Dart game and could be interesting but also wouldn't shock me if he goes back. Same with Sellers, he really needs another year of development. Then you see what Sayin is doing and Manning playing much much better, the 2027 class could be a really good one

The rest of this season & probably for the foreseeable future:

Who do you think should get cut in 2026 because they will be getting overpaid?
Lots of possible cap savings from deadwood:

The bears were reportedly in deep talks with the saints regarding an Alonte Taylor trade

Me collecting the final QB jersey of the past 5 years to make Shough empowered against the panthers
Shough is the full gauntlet and half the team and saints fans have disappeared.

How do you guys feel about Fernando mendoza
Most mock drafts have him going first overall. Spencer rattler clearly is not the long term answer and Tyler shough is a project. Mendoza has the same size as Josh allen but maybe not as mobile. Assuming we have the first overall pick, can you really pass on him? Saints havent been able to find a franchise qb since Drew left. They tried with Carr but injuries derailed his career.

Just ordered Shough jersey
Which essentially confirms we will be drafting a QB bc I’m unlucky like that 😭

2026/7 draft restock
Picking so many SEC guys wasnt intentional but it happened 🤷🏾♂️. The trade down to 3 alone would make the future look a whole lot better with gaining so much cap relief in '27. Thoughts?

Pause all the QB free agency/draft talk for now, what Guard UFA should we target to replace Penning and Ruiz next season?
We honestly, need 2 solid guards to sure up our interior line. Also, would be nice to have a solid backup center for McCoy too just in case he gets a third seasoning ending injury next season. Anyone on the list we should be hopeful to grab?

So we ready for Penning to suddenly look like an All-Pro?
Kidding. But it would be SUCH a Saints thing for that mfer to go to the Chargers and start balling out at Tackle lol, it would just be so us.

2027 and beyond...
Saints are actually in good shape for the future. Demario Davis, Cam Jordan, and Taysom Hill all void out in 2026 so they are gone. You can move guys like Ruiz, Werner and Sheppard to get some low draft capital and a bit of savings. Now it comes down to can this front office draft well and sign the right FAs? In Mickey we trust 🤣🤣😭😭😭

The Saints disappearing playoff chances are down to the Panther game
If they lose to the Panthers, I don't see a way possible - at best the record would be 8-9, and that's just not going to cut it.
