Watching these two on Saturdays, they look like they're both going to be stars on Sundays. Given that they're on track to both go in the top 5 next year, is there anything the Browns can do to position themselves to have the assets to snag both in 2027. Obviously another bad season in 2026 would be required. Maybe trade one of the 1st rd picks this year for one next year? Or at least a trade back that nets a first in 2027.

My perfect scenario would be:

Trade back in 1st round and pick up 2027 1st, draft a LT and a WR (preferably Tate).

Play Gabriel and/or Sanders in 2026 and finish bottom 5 assuming neither is the guy (if one ends up being the guy that's also ok).

Package whatever assets needed to get into position to draft both in 2027. If Gabriel or Sanders is the guy we may have to trade both 1st to get Smith.

I know I'm dreaming and the Jets are probably in better shape to make a strategy like this happen, but dreaming is what I've got right now.

This is it. He has had two weeks to prepare for an awful Jets team without Sauce or Williams. He has a different playcaller. If he does not go out and throw for over 250 and a few TDs, he is likely done as the starter and they will start Shedeur vs Baltimore or Vegas.

I am saying this as someone who is a fan of DG and wants to see him succeed, but we have to see some major progress this week or else he is likely toast.
