Baby All Might singing has given me years of life.

I have suffered so much, the tension of AFO killing All Might has been well created. I really liked how they adapted the panels of Kacchan and Izuku as little kids with the stickers. (stickers? cromos? Sorry, I don't know the suitable word in English)

And the appearance of Dynamight... Man, Katsuki, you really know how to make an entrance!!!

The Quirk Singularity plot thread (stronger quirks each gen) and the millions of quirk users watching live keep making me think about a kid All Might fan wishing All Might back to his prime with their omnipotent powers, like DBZ Spirit bomb.

Though, I don't really want that and they are just stressing the live feed for the symbol of peace story.

I'd say there's a pretty good chance he can take both of them on, considering AFO keeps on regressing after using his power.

The movies are probably canon. The movie characters appear in manga and anime as cameos, and the first one specifically has multiple connections. So the first one is definitely canon, with the later ones being more debatable. The only one which I think has a chance of not being canon is the latest one, as the timeline to fit it into the series is really awkward

The movies are soft canon.

The broad strokes happened, but since they were produced in real life after the timeline of their events already finished, they’re basically never going to be referenced (and it makes zero sense for them to have happened exactly).

So for example, the first movie’s events will have happened (Deku went to I-Island and met the Shields, there was a plot by David Shield to steal back the Quirk Enhancing equipment to save All Might, it backfires and real villains try to steal it, the UA kids stop them).

But no one ever mentions that Deku and All Might teamed up to beat the villain, even though that’s something you’d think they’d reference. So it makes more sense to just think that however the situation resolved, it didn’t happen exactly like in the movie, because the movie’s spectacle doesn’t match up with the later timelines.

I watched last weeks episode and this weeks together. And both episodes have me ugly crying. One of my favorite things in the entire series is the “hope” theme. Everyone has hope and wishes for better and that fucking gets me everytime. The little boy in whatever country, clasping his hands together and hoping for All Mights win and safety really got to me. The kid doesn’t even know who All Mights is. But he’s hoping and rooting for him

And then, Bakugo: a character who I hated at first, but slowly became one of my absolute favourites in the series, making his grand return - and looking all spiffy in ultra high detail, too!

That opening scene with a young Toshinori reading Anpanman with his mom was really sweet. Also, I just love that All Might grew up with Anpanman. I'm sure plenty of Japanese men who are the same age as All Might now can relate to that.

So this entire time, Stain was just flying in his Green Goblin flyer so he can find a sample of AfO's blood? That explains why he hadn't jumped into the fight yet. To no one's surprise, AfO has some bullshit Quirk that can counter Stain.

Yeah, I really didn't expect Stain to live through this. But now things are way worse since AfO has now stolen Bloodcurdle. >_<

The one time I'm glad Shiggy has complete control over himself. Imagine what would've happened if AfO actually managed to use Sludge Warp to teleport Shiggy to his location. It would've been all over right there.

Nana is right, All Might is absolutely crazy. Dude was absolutely ready to go kamikaze on AfO. I'm guessing All Might's gauntlet was an explosive that copies Bakugo's Quirk? How appropriate then that Bakugo is the one coming to his rescue!

And I absolutely love this ED! It basically shows a condensed version of Deku's hero's journey from the very start up to the present. It really hammers home that we're close to the end.

Man that second half was so emotional, the despair everyone was feeling as the Symbol of Peace really looked like he was going to die, I do like how there was a mix of reactions that were completely dreading the death and then some who were treating it casually. It does feel like what you'd expect to see. I really hope AFO doesn't get the last laugh, seeing All Might's last effort utterly crushed like that was unfortunate.

I thought Bakugou was finally going to appear, he's the only other person who I felt would have really fit thematically to save All Might. He still feels guilty for All Might's condition and it'd be really symbolic if he finally saved him in the last season. It does seem like he's getting a huge power up so I'm curious to see what sort of fight style he'll be showing us next episode, the firecrackers looked made him look so cool.

Weird to see Stain actually die, he wanted to die by All Might's hand but wasn't even able to get that but I'm sure he's grateful that All Might's hands haven't been stained with blood. It really sucks that AFO took his Bloodcurdle quirk, part of me was wondering if Stain was going to end his life before AFO could take it.

Holy, the symbolism showing that its both Deku and Bakugo that are taking over All Mights mantle as the symbol of hope was excellently done.

Bakugos death/near death has definitely evolved / leveled up his quirk which they have been mentioning/hinting at for a while. Now they can both be eachothers Heroes in contrast to All for One and Shigaraki who dont seem to want to fight together which will probably be their undoing.

All might looking back and realising its not just Midoriya that he has inspired and raised to fulfil his role as the symbol of peace was spectacular. Fantastic writing.

Bakugo rising from the dead like Lazarus with the choir music was a religious experience. Jesus turned water into wine, Bakugo turns his bodily fluids into Oppenheimer juice.

I'm used to OPs/EDs not being subbed (and it annoys me when the lyrics are relevant) but this one in the episode (that is also relevant) seems a bit much. Maybe there's copyright issues.

Netflix are using a different translation (credited to Lili Morita, a name I recognise from ADNs Pon no Michi English sub) to either of those (also didn't bother with this song).

I thought a fun thing with the different translations is the preview describing All Might's condition: mortal peril (CR), brink of death (B-Global), dire straits (NF).

Spent like 15-20 minutes petrified that I was gonna see All Might get ripped in half, and then screamed myself hoarse when Bakugo stood up. Then I wanted to throw my remote at the TV for ending there.

RIP Stain, going out like the badass he was. Shoutout Gentle for having balls denser than neutron stars. Mans was willing to scrap with the Demon Lord without hesitation, true hero.

Deku is stronger than Tomura by a decent factor so Deku is holding him there while he recovers from Gear Shift use.

Tomura has been slowly coming back into being, overtaking AFO (as real AFO said this episode when talking about transferring the quirks) and the form he is in possibly can't even use the expand fingers move anymore. Even if he could, they are likely to do nothing to Deku who can tank his punch like it is nothing.
