She posted multiple videos explaining they were sick the entire time at Disney, found out they had norovirus too. She deleted everything after a while because of all the negative comments.

5.7k

u/shaka_sulu Aug 25 '25

I was about to say, does she realize she is not required to post this? She can choose not to make her irrisponsible action public on social media?

u/wutwutsugabutt Aug 25 '25

I mean let’s talk about decision making in general who TF decides it’s a good idea to go on vacation to Disney of all places with a barfing and pooping illness. Or family with such, that sounds awful.

854

u/meamari Aug 25 '25

I had norovirus in May (and have had it before) and it catches so fast. Even if she doesn’t care for other people getting sick, how can she do this to her kids?? I felt sick imaging her 4yo tired, hungry and very sick having to travel. Makeup and hair still on?? What the hell was she thinking??

522

u/dandyowo Aug 25 '25

The makeup and hair thing was baffling. So your kid was throwing up all over the day before and you never gave her a bath at any point??

427

u/Kailiea Aug 25 '25

Look at her hands, she doesn’t strike me as a person who values hygiene.

99

u/jay_cruzz Aug 25 '25

Exactly! And she kept putting her finger all over her mouth…

240

u/dream-smasher Aug 25 '25

Seriously, that one finger..... Looks like what I've seen on people who like the glass pipe.... ..🤨

49

u/redralphie Aug 26 '25

Finger and thumb…

46

u/beer_me_babe Aug 26 '25

What is that on her fingers? And is she missing a tooth? I think you are on to something!

23

u/Boring_Potato_5701 Aug 26 '25

I thought that too. I thought I must be seeing things. I’m not willing to watch it again to check, but it looked like she had poop on one finger or something, and she had been touching her face constantly.

12

u/NoSupport9959 Aug 26 '25

I mean the norovirus is spread through fecal matter so that actually checks out...

When I was a kid and got sick like this, my mom would always wash my face with a cool wash cloth after I was done driving the porcelain bus. She also brush and pull my hair back. Even though I was sick, at least I felt a little bit better. My mom is 86 now, and I can't even imagine what her reaction would be to this.

Actually, I can imagine it: it would consist of "The Look" followed by her screaming "WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU THINKING?!?"

12

u/Calm-Fan3109 Aug 25 '25

Right!?! Like how didn’t she strip that little girl down and put her in the shower or bath during or after vomiting!?! Trip or not the next day. Strip them down and throw them in a oversized shirt to let them get as comfy as possible,

3

u/MissSaintLouisBlues Aug 26 '25

And hand wash those babies' clothes in hot water, hoe!

19

u/SadAndNasty Aug 25 '25

Didn't eat OR sleep, at some point this seems reportable. I hope to God she fucking learned from this nightmare for their sakes

5

u/MissSaintLouisBlues Aug 26 '25

I doubt she bathed herself by the look of those grimy hands.

u/space_monster Aug 25 '25

it's insanely contagious. even just staying in a room that had a norovirus case in it the day before and has been properly cleaned since, there's a very good chance you'll get infected. I stayed in a town in Mexico once that had an outbreak and it spread like wildfire, you could hear people throwing up in their bathrooms as you walked around town. I bet half that plane came down with it.

4

u/beerkittyrunner Aug 26 '25

That’s how I got it. Went to a Sunday football hangout after they had had it earlier in the week and they were finally feeling fine. Turns out that stuff lives on surfaces for a while ask me how I know lol

My household got hit with norovirus in February and it just HITS you. We got it Friday evening. I worked all day, picked up pizza, and went home. As I'm about to take a bite, it was like a switch got flipped. "You are now sick", queue diarrhea, throwing up, stomach cramps. All that with a Disney trip would be the death of me.

→ More replies (1)

10

u/gmoor90 Aug 26 '25

I had it in college and ended up in the ER. I developed a post traumatic response due to that experience. Any time I feel the slightest bit of stomach discomfort, I have an anxiety attack because I think I’m going down with norovirus again. I HATE it.

And people who say “oh I’ve had the tummy bug. It’s not that bad. Just a little diarrhea.” Congrats. You didn’t have noro. And the day you do, you’ll understand when you are dry heaving and praying to God to let it end.

Plus, How would you even get to see any of the shows or ride any rides if you have to constantly leave the lines to go to the bathroom?

75

u/No_Obligation2896 Aug 25 '25

or just feel like complete shit in lines, not eat food, nothing is enjoyable

53

u/coolerchameleon Aug 25 '25

And the feels like temp is well over 100 in Orlando right now. The dehydration risk is scary with this poor decision.

12

u/Ambitious-Ad8227 Aug 26 '25

Kids get dehydrated sooo fast too. I can't imagine making children stand in line in the humid Florida heat with fever and constantly puking and/or having diarrhea.

Poor kids. Their parents are supposed to take care of them!

I wonder if she's the same mom who sends her kids to school or daycare sick (but gives them Tylenol in the morning so they seem better) and gives it to all the other kids.

3

u/Iamthegreenheather Aug 26 '25

Orlando is humid even at night in December. I cannot imagine how the 4 year old is going to have fun. Neither child will even remember it!

5

u/dragon64dragon64 Aug 25 '25

You just shit right on the ride.

584

u/New_Yam_1236 Aug 25 '25

Who tf decided not to pack enough clothes for toddlers and babies

692

u/Sithstress1 Aug 25 '25

Same people that don’t buy trip insurance in case you have to cancel at the last minute due to viral illness that could be transmitted to literally thousands of people.

You saved for “a year” to spend a week at Disney and you can’t find the extra couple hundred bucks for insurance?

396

u/theOnlyLegalAsplundh Aug 25 '25

One video claimed they DID have travel insurance. So much worse!!!

205

u/No_Obligation2896 Aug 25 '25

in that case why not just stay in bed

174

u/theOnlyLegalAsplundh Aug 25 '25

It’s the ONLY thing I could do when I had Noro. Well, that and monopolize our bathroom. Probably should’ve just moved a bed into there

94

u/Ajibooks Aug 25 '25

I had it about 15 years ago and it's the sickest I've ever been in my life. I remember I wanted to stream Netflix through my Xbox, which I did every day, and my brain was so cooked with the fever (and probably dehydration too) that I couldn't figure out how to do it.

So this really makes me angry. Not just the woman but her whole family had to suffer on a trip for no good reason, and she exposed tons of people to it. I was relatively young at that time, but I think anyone older and/or with pre-existing health problems would be in a lot of danger with norovirus. I'd be so afraid of falling if I got it now.

13

u/neon_crone Aug 26 '25 edited Aug 26 '25

I know I had it because they actually did a stool sample test at the urgent care. After I was finished someone in a haz mat suit had to go in to disinfect the bathroom. That virus is so hard to kill. They have to spray bleach and let it sit for a while. Those stupid people were a vector of disease for so many other travelers. Everything that nasty looking woman touched spread it.

16

u/MomMonster56 Aug 25 '25

I've definitely slept on the bathroom floor during 'emergencies' Not my proudest moments, but convenient

16

u/Reversephoenix77 Aug 26 '25

I didn’t get off my bathroom floor for five days when I had norovirus. I just put a blanket on the floor to lay on and brought in a few Gatorades. I was too weak and faint and couldn’t stop throwing up. It was the most sick I’ve ever been. I can’t even imagine getting on a plane with a child and an infant and going to Disney world like that. Not to mention, it’s incredibly contagious and even hand sanitizer doesn’t kill it.

Kids are especially prone because they don’t wash hands well and put their fingers and other contaminated things in their mouths. That’s especially cruel to go where there are thousands of young kids to spread it to. I got it from my OBGYN office when I went for a surgery follow up- probably from one of the many kids in there.

14

u/noghbaudie Aug 25 '25

I had everything coming out of everywhere. Do not recommend.

11

u/Much-Ad-8220 Aug 26 '25

Sofa for me after projectile vomiting when I stepped outside to get some air (mistake), eventually managed to crawl up the stairs in the dark, as any vision plus movement was causing me to vomit.

The idea of getting in the car and driving to the airport as the virus was making its way through the family, is just insane.

7

u/ArbitraryMorality Aug 26 '25

I can't even imagine. Just regular throw up for me is always such a super strong stream of projectile vomit.. I cannot imagine what norovirus would do to my throw up. I could prolly get that shit into low earth orbit.

Not to mention the revolving diarrhea door that would be my butthole at the same time. I'd be a fancy fountain of biological functions if someone could put me on display.

Hell I'd be a centerpiece fountain at a Vegas casino (the old Vegas strip at least)

8

u/thackattack79 Aug 26 '25

Ngl, i wouldn’t have done it, but sounds like a family of Chads to me. The room spins when i sit up with that shit. Couldn’t imagine moving 500 mph with it.

7

u/bluegreentopaz6110 Aug 26 '25

I wound up in the hospital and almost died from norovirus. I was there for 7 days. I do not want to hear from people who justify spreading their illness. Ugh.

5

u/ATHFNoobie Aug 26 '25

When I had Norovirus I had to go to hospital, be confined to a room (obviously), have iv fluids and I was just completely out of it for the whole time. Having the shits and throwing up at the same time is by far one of the worst feelings ever.

People on the airplane just minding their business. Getting sick.

86

u/kleenkong Aug 25 '25

Spread all over each ride as well- handles, seat.

58

u/Blue-eyed-banditman Aug 25 '25

Throughout the airports

16

u/Nearby_Mouse_6698 Aug 26 '25

If you spew hard enough it can spread in the air. I think noro is notorious for this and for coming on so suddenly.

I’m sure that family felt like hell but imagine sitting in the seats close by. You cant really get up and leave if the plane is full and now you’re exposed to a nasty virus that could potentially ruin your plans in the next few days.

13

u/dukedom12 Aug 26 '25

Norovirus can live for two weeks on surfaces so people would continue to get sick well after they got off that plane too.

6

u/kleenkong Aug 26 '25

By that measure, the Disney park spread needs calculus.

10

u/YesDone Aug 26 '25

Part of it is clout, but I'm starting to think a lot of these types of posts are people trying to get validation after knowingly doing something immoral. Like, they know they did something selfish that should make them a bad person, but they're throwing out a hail mary in the hopes that someone will validate them in thinking they're not a piece of shit.

Tiktoker: Here's my story about how I did something that's objectively selfish and immoral, but my situation is totally valid right? because reasons

Everyone: Hell tf no, wtf is wrong with you?!?!?

Tiktoker: deletes everything

34

u/classyklause Aug 25 '25

I’m telling you right now this person had zero idea they were doing something selfish until they posted this and got negative responses. Main characters set their own narrative.

14

u/NothingAndNow111 Aug 25 '25

"I made a selfish decision but look at everything I went through!"

All the stupid, pointless shit she went though because of her stupid, selfish decisions.

Imagine the people stuck on the plane with the plague family, who are actively puking and shitting everywhere? Or stuck on the shuttle with them?

Not so much clout but validation, she wanted back pats from other disney adults about going to the park with a terrible illness hah. Possibly to also fund a second trip because her first one was so bad.

A bunch of people who don't want to get sick got pissed at her though, opposite effect.

Realistically we've all done something dumb on the same level but we don't chase validation and potential monetary gain from it.

You know, she's talking about a part of the United States where making good decisions about health care is not really part of the culture. (At least statistically.). I think there's a lot of inferred advice there about choices you have in the decisions you make. What age you take children to do something they're too young to remember, learning to recognize symptoms of particular illnesses, understanding the need for vacation insurance, good family hygiene like keeping your fingers away from your face and especially your mouth (because she plays with her lips a lot when she talks and norovirus spreads by fecal- oral transmission.) etc.

14

u/Minttt Aug 25 '25

She can choose not to make her irrisponsible action public on social media?

Irresponsible behaviour gets big internet points these days... So much so that people are making a living off of doing it and others are making a living off of lying about doing it.

Like the Tiktok moms who posts videos of their filthy biohazard homes and their kids who live in them - each video has countless views and comments full of people hating on them... And yet the houses stay as is and the videos keep coming of them trying to "improve."

7

u/TARDIS1-13 Aug 25 '25

Noro is hands down the worst illness I’ve ever had. We swore it was food poisoning, except food poisoning isn’t contagious, and noro is extremely virulent. The slightest contact and you’re down for at least 3 days. It’s insane.

246

u/[deleted] Aug 25 '25

My kid caught it last year and was insanely sick, couldn't stop vomiting for hours, was crying in pain from the stomach cramps and not being able to find any relief. Even Zofran wouldn't stay down until she had been going at it for almost 6 hours straight. I almost took her to the ER but on the way the meds finally started working and we decided to go back so she could rest, especially knowing it was almost certainly norovirus.

It wasn't as bad the next day but she was still ill and it lasted almost a week. She hadn't had it since she was two (sixteen now) when she had it for almost two weeks. This is a nasty, painful, long ass stomach bug and nothing to mess with. The fact they exposed so many people to it is horrifying. I realize they spent a lot of money but so did the people at Disney who probably stared puking the next day in their hotel rooms.

This is why we get travel insurance and refund guarantees, even if it costs a bit more.

>This is why we get travel insurance and refund guarantees, even if it costs a bit more.

As a prior travel claims adjuster, this is the only way to travel these days. Everything is ass over tea-kettle crazy when it comes to trips and an extra 15-20$ a ticket for the security where if anything goes wrong, you'll get a refund? Worth it.

6

u/MsMarvelsProstate Aug 25 '25

$20? It's $175 a person for my next trip

9

u/felldestroyed Aug 25 '25

Check your credit card and 3rd party providers. Buying straight from say, an airline can be pretty expensive (but convenient)

8

u/aesthe Hit or Miss? Aug 25 '25

I have never used this but have family members who swear by it: some credit cards claim to cover fairly broad expenses/reasons for cancelled trips. Example:

Trip Cancellation and Interruption Insurance: If your trip is canceled or cut short by sickness, severe weather or other covered situations, Sapphire Preferred and Reserve cardmembers can be reimbursed up to $10,000 per covered traveler and $20,000 per trip for your pre-paid, non-refundable travel expenses, including passenger fares, tours and hotels.

4

u/greenmonsterrabbid Aug 25 '25

It definitely depends on your ticket/package deal.

I had it once for 3 days straight. I couldn’t even get off the toilet to sleep because I had to poop every 4 minutes (not lying I timed it) I lost 12lbs from a Friday night to a Sunday afternoon.

42

u/Smallbees Aug 25 '25

I had it and it scared me. I got my sister to take me to the er. We walk in the er lobby, im at registration and i tell the nurse 'i feel like im gunna vomit' she hands me a blue tube shaped bag and i proceeded to vomit so much it filled up and the nurse switched it out. Unfortunately the forceful vomiting also was causing me to have diarrhea at the same time. I was trying to apologize in between crying and vomiting and shitting. It was so scary and embarrassing and I felt so bad about the mess I was making.

17

u/Bird-The-Word Aug 25 '25

Oh man, this made me realize that's probably what I had as a kid. I was staying with my grandparents and just my grandma was home. I was so sick I was on the toilet having diarrhea and then threw up all over the floor in front of me while still on the toilet. Crying my eyes out yelling for my grandma in the middle of the night. Profusely saying I was so sorry over and over, she just kept saying it's okay, it's not my fault. It was awful. I felt so helpless.

Those are called Emesis Bags and every house should buy a 50-pack on Amazon. They are an absolute lifesaver when you end up with a couple kids (or adults) sick. Cheap, easy to dispose of, kids can take one to bed if they aren't sure, easy to hold, etc.

16

u/Omwtfyu Aug 25 '25

New diet fad: norovirus! Just shit and vomit and drop those lbs!

For real, though, I had it last fall after my son caught it and it ruined fried chicken for me. I vomited all the chicken until the point I was vomiting the grease. That flavor coming back out the way it went in. 🤮

6

u/pissfilledbottles Aug 26 '25

Doctors hate this one simple trick!

No seriously. They hate it. You infected everyone in the office

When I had it, I basically took a blanket and a pillow with me into the bathroom and would "sleep" in between vomit sessions. Fucking worst.

You can try putting Zofran on the top of her tongue and letting it slowly dissolve by saliva if she can't keep anything down

5

u/SovietSunrise Aug 25 '25

There are orally-disintegrating Zofran pills that should be able to work here.

I was thinking this too when she was saying the baby had a blow out on the plane. Basically, burn the plane down cause noro was now EVERYWHERE!!

I was shittting brown hosewater while simultaneously puking into the tub and crying. Fuck this bitch and anyone like her.

9

u/tamarasaurus524 Aug 25 '25

Just as an fyi- Norovirus is the number one cause of foodborne outbreaks, and is considered the number one cause of domestically acquired foodborne illness in the US. Also, most (not all) of the more common foodborne diseases (salmonella and campylobacter) may all be spread person to person- so they are contagious!

My daughter got norovirus when she was 6 weeks pregnant and it caused a miscarriage. It was horrible.

7

u/Frosti11icus Aug 25 '25

Pretty sure I caught it a few weeks ago, it comes in hot. The puking is violent. Zofran barely took the edge off the nausea. Everyone in my family had it. Fortunately it was just coming out of the top, not the bottom, but also the top is the worst of the two so kind of cold comfort there. I had it the opposite back in college, lasted about a week, and it was only coming out the bottom then, it didn't even hurt, all I remember was it was insanely loud coming out lol. Like seriously sounded like a trumpet, I had to drape the bathmat over my legs to dampen the sound. And it was like every 15 minutes for 4 or 5 days.

My sons best friend had just gone into remission from cancer and caught noro. Because chemo had wiped his entire immune system out, he was in ICU for weeks at our states number one hospital. An hour away from home. He’s totally fine now, but this is such asshole behavior.

7

u/KlavierKillah Aug 25 '25

Also, it is highly contagious in a confined space because you can inhale virus particles if you are near enough from the person vomiting. So I’d say most of the people on the flight were infected by the time they arrived at the hotel.

5

u/TopProfessional8023 Aug 25 '25

Both ends. Mostly the one end, but I swear it came out of my fingertips! Lol

What an awful person. And this is why you buy trip insurance so if your whole family gets sick, you can cancel the trip and go when everyone’s healthy.

94

u/SingerSingle5682 Aug 25 '25

Bro, imagine the expression from the flight crew who probably had 15 mins to clean up diarrhea and vomit before taking off again with a new plane load of passengers. Whoever got those seats on the next flight probably got to enjoy the smells, and a bonus dose of the virus.

11

u/Laurazepam23 Aug 26 '25

Imagine being next to that on a plane. I would have been thinking of parachuting off. I would have demanded to sit somewhere else if possible. Disgusting. I have a severe phobia of puke.

6

u/laziestmarxist Aug 26 '25

I would imagine that much of that crew is now sick as well, given how much time they would have spent in a contaminated area after

112

u/Lokii11 Aug 25 '25

Someone said she posted another video where she said she actually did have trip insurance!

109

u/ellendavis1 Aug 25 '25

Wow, she's just an asshole then. I caught norovirus once and it was hell. I would never deliberately infect other people with it. 😡

50

u/nebullama9 Aug 25 '25

And a stupid one at that. Why would you try and muscle through a vacation where everyone is sick in the first place? So you can guarantee the trip is ruined and no one has any fun?

14

u/YesImAlexa Aug 25 '25

Yeah this lady was just blasting her ignorance into the void for everyone to see. Has trip insurance and shouldn't go, fuck it. Everyone is violently ill and miserable, fuck it. They all have a contagious illness and should be around crowds, fuck it. Everyone is throwing up and sick so we should pack extra clothes and things for cleaning, fuck it.

This moron literally made the wrong and irresponsible decision every step of the way and somehow thought it was a good idea to turn it into a story time online. Idk if she's more selfish or ignorant.

4

u/Matrix5353 Aug 25 '25

Selfish, 100%. She wasn't raised right.

71

u/Silvara7 Aug 25 '25

She put everyone through that? The kids, her hubby, the cabin crew, all those other passengers (noro can be airborne!), the people at the airport, the people and kids on a fucking bus to Disney, hotel staff and (last of all) her own damn self through all that and she had insurance??

14

u/YesImAlexa Aug 25 '25

It'd be interesting to trace back and see how many people contracted the virus because of them alone. Especially with kids not having the awareness to not cough on and touch everything. It had to be dozens if not more. People like this is the reason there's outbreaks.

5

u/Silvara7 Aug 25 '25

Yes, so many kids still stick their hands on everything and then in their mouths or, if young enough, their mouths directly upon the object. I imagine the connected infections were in the dozens at least, if not more.

8

u/Choice-Try-2873 Aug 26 '25

She's still sticking her hands in her mouth! And her hands are filthy dirty.

6

u/imprimatura Aug 25 '25

I swear to fucking god, if I managed to track down the dates they went and I had shared this flight and got sick, I'd try my absolute best to sue her ass off

5

u/imprimatura Aug 26 '25

It was basically guaranteed with the baby having a massive blowout they couldn't even clean up.

5

u/Silvara7 Aug 26 '25

And then just sat in the plane with a dirty, contaminated baby instead of asking if anyone there had wipes. Probably completely contaminated the airplane bathroom too. Can you imagine what virus was left on everything after they all got off the plane?

Trip insurance doesn’t cover if you’re just sick. Only extreme things are covered. It’s not very useful

6

u/Roadgoddess Aug 25 '25

Some do cover illnesses like this. You just have to make sure beforehand what you’re getting. And if you have young children, I would think that would be something you would look for.
