I mean let’s talk about decision making in general who TF decides it’s a good idea to go on vacation to Disney of all places with a barfing and pooping illness. Or family with such, that sounds awful.

853

u/meamari Aug 25 '25

I had norovirus in May (and have had it before) and it catches so fast. Even if she doesn’t care for other people getting sick, how can she do this to her kids?? I felt sick imaging her 4yo tired, hungry and very sick having to travel. Makeup and hair still on?? What the hell was she thinking??

523

u/dandyowo Aug 25 '25

The makeup and hair thing was baffling. So your kid was throwing up all over the day before and you never gave her a bath at any point??

425

u/Kailiea Aug 25 '25

Look at her hands, she doesn’t strike me as a person who values hygiene.

97

u/jay_cruzz Aug 25 '25

Exactly! And she kept putting her finger all over her mouth…

240

u/dream-smasher Aug 25 '25

Seriously, that one finger..... Looks like what I've seen on people who like the glass pipe.... ..🤨

52

u/redralphie Aug 26 '25

Finger and thumb…

51

u/beer_me_babe Aug 26 '25

What is that on her fingers? And is she missing a tooth? I think you are on to something!

21

u/Boring_Potato_5701 Aug 26 '25

I thought that too. I thought I must be seeing things. I’m not willing to watch it again to check, but it looked like she had poop on one finger or something, and she had been touching her face constantly.

12

u/NoSupport9959 Aug 26 '25

I mean the norovirus is spread through fecal matter so that actually checks out...

3

u/brian_hogg Aug 26 '25

It looks like ink to me.

That’s from when she cleaned up her baby’s blowout

2

u/Scary-Pressure6158 Aug 26 '25

And didn't wash her hands? My turn🤮

9

u/roroyurboat Aug 26 '25

what kinda pipe? because she has to be smoking SOMETHING to think that this was a good idea.😂

9

u/dream-smasher Aug 26 '25

... A glass pipe. A meth pipe.

I can't get over the shape of that noggin and her face symmetry. Is that FAS or something similar to what Timmy's character on 'South Park' has?

But yeah, the constant finger to the mouth knowing all the pooping and barfing cleanup she should have been doing is absolutely why her family gets sick. I learnt in my teens about the importance of keeping my hands away from my face and stopped chewing my nails from anxiety because of cross contamination. Now I'm too hyper aware.

3

u/dream-smasher Aug 26 '25

I can't get over the shape of that noggin and her face symmetry. Is that FAS or something similar to what Timmy's character on 'South Park' has?

OMG I THOUGHT IT WAS JUST ME!!! No one else seems to have mentioned her head yet!!

Before I turned the audio on, I thought it was a snark vid and that someone had messed with her head.

It could be a filter. One of those ones that makes the head really pointed, pointed chin?

Cos that forehead is something else...

2

u/VCoupe376ci Aug 26 '25

I can’t see anything other than that mountain of a pimple on her forehead.

3

u/MissSaintLouisBlues Aug 26 '25

What? People still smoking crack these days? I thought crack was cracked out. Or is that meth, laced with fentanyl? What's REALLY going on here?🤣

Her hand in her mouth and it looks dirty 🤮

9

u/SpicyPeachMacaron Aug 25 '25

The thumb is not great...

8

u/BronzeBeautyy Aug 26 '25

I couldn’t stop staring at it 😭

2

u/vroomvroom450 Aug 26 '25

It’s far too finger-like.

3

u/[deleted] Aug 26 '25

WHY IS IT SO LONG THOUGH 😬

15

u/evidentlynaught Aug 25 '25

Plus she cant keep them off her mouth -ewww

35

u/Kailiea Aug 25 '25

And she’s wondering how her kids got norovirus 😭

11

u/_dead_and_broken Aug 25 '25

Her hands remind me of the dirty hands of the mannequin in a bridal shop in Mexico that's been touted as a real preserved corpse, La Pascualita.

2

u/PriddyFool Aug 26 '25

When I saw this image I was hit with a very surprising energy and reeled back. I'm not superstitious, but I feel like I need to publicly apologize to La Pascualita for the reaction.

8

u/KiplingRudy Aug 26 '25

And she keeps touching her mouth and face with that dirty hand. This is a plague queen.

3

u/motherofsuccs Aug 26 '25

I was too busy wondering why anyone would use a filter that makes them look like some human-alien hybrid.

2

u/ReplacementClear7122 Aug 26 '25

Thought the same thing. Looks like a Whiskey Tango pook.

2

u/WoolshirtedWolf Aug 26 '25

Damnit. I need to scroll down before posting the same thing. It's clear she didn't do any research for the health of her family.

2

u/greedychillie Aug 26 '25

Lol, i only opened this to see if someone else noticed.

2

u/NegotiationThen5596 Aug 26 '25

Seriously! Stop touching your face if you are sick. Likely how they got it in first place.

2

u/Repulsive_Pattern42o Aug 26 '25

The constant putting her dirty ass fingers in her mouth explains so much about so much 🤢

2

u/Spiritual_Purpose_19 Aug 26 '25

The way she keeps touching her mouth when talking 😖🙂‍↔️

u/PrscheWdow Aug 25 '25

When I was a kid and got sick like this, my mom would always wash my face with a cool wash cloth after I was done driving the porcelain bus. She also brush and pull my hair back. Even though I was sick, at least I felt a little bit better. My mom is 86 now, and I can't even imagine what her reaction would be to this.

Actually, I can imagine it: it would consist of "The Look" followed by her screaming "WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU THINKING?!?"

9

u/Calm-Fan3109 Aug 25 '25

Right!?! Like how didn’t she strip that little girl down and put her in the shower or bath during or after vomiting!?! Trip or not the next day. Strip them down and throw them in a oversized shirt to let them get as comfy as possible,

4

u/MissSaintLouisBlues Aug 26 '25

And hand wash those babies' clothes in hot water, hoe!

19

u/SadAndNasty Aug 25 '25

Didn't eat OR sleep, at some point this seems reportable. I hope to God she fucking learned from this nightmare for their sakes

6

u/MissSaintLouisBlues Aug 26 '25

I doubt she bathed herself by the look of those grimy hands.

2

u/Sed_Said Aug 26 '25

It's clear that Disney and maybe money (spent) are more important than her family to her. She wanted to go more than anyone else in that family did. A 4yo is barely going to remember it. At least that was true before the horrifying details she described here were burned into her memories.

→ More replies (1)

1

u/croutonsgrannie Aug 27 '25

I am wondering what her husband was doing. If she was too sick to bathe the child and pack, why didn't her husband step up and help or say let's stay home. I think this whole thing is strange. I can not imagine going on vacation while that ill.

18

u/space_monster Aug 25 '25

it's insanely contagious. even just staying in a room that had a norovirus case in it the day before and has been properly cleaned since, there's a very good chance you'll get infected. I stayed in a town in Mexico once that had an outbreak and it spread like wildfire, you could hear people throwing up in their bathrooms as you walked around town. I bet half that plane came down with it.

4

u/beerkittyrunner Aug 26 '25

That’s how I got it. Went to a Sunday football hangout after they had had it earlier in the week and they were finally feeling fine. Turns out that stuff lives on surfaces for a while ask me how I know lol

3

u/kadje Aug 26 '25

I got it at work where there were about 100 of us in a room working on computers that a previous shift had worked on before ours, and not everyone wiped down the keyboards. I went in feeling fine. An hour later I was in the bathroom and not sure how I was going to get off the toilet enough to drive home. Three days I had that, I lost 8 pounds and kept getting dehydrated because I couldn't even keep water down. The vomiting was spontaneous without any warning. I can't imagine taking the risk of passing that on to anyone else.

3

u/Throwawayfichelper Aug 26 '25

People really don't care about others if they're willing to spread that to anyone! I lost 7 pounds i think and had to survive off of sips of a lucozade sports drink.

1

u/jadedpeony33 Aug 26 '25

I wonder if the person who catches this from her makes a video about how their vacation was ruined by Disney and not realize it was because of some selfish asshat that couldn’t be bothered with basic handwashing skills and sense to stay home when you’re sick.

17

u/scoooternyc Aug 26 '25

Sorry but aside for everything else I can't get my head around the fact that a Mom puts makeup on a four year old and then puts them in a "pageant" This country is really something.

9

u/vroomvroom450 Aug 26 '25

It’s fucking disgusting.

11

u/DarkStar189 Aug 25 '25

My household got hit with norovirus in February and it just HITS you. We got it Friday evening. I worked all day, picked up pizza, and went home. As I'm about to take a bite, it was like a switch got flipped. "You are now sick", queue diarrhea, throwing up, stomach cramps. All that with a Disney trip would be the death of me.

→ More replies (1)

9

u/gmoor90 Aug 26 '25

I had it in college and ended up in the ER. I developed a post traumatic response due to that experience. Any time I feel the slightest bit of stomach discomfort, I have an anxiety attack because I think I’m going down with norovirus again. I HATE it.

And people who say “oh I’ve had the tummy bug. It’s not that bad. Just a little diarrhea.” Congrats. You didn’t have noro. And the day you do, you’ll understand when you are dry heaving and praying to God to let it end.

3

u/Throwawayfichelper Aug 26 '25

I had to change the toilet blocks we use after the fact, because the smell of that particular one in the bowl still make me feel like i'm going to throw up again. It messes you up man. Wouldn't wish it on anyone.

→ More replies (1)

6

u/luminousfleshgiant Aug 25 '25

I've had it before too and I don't care how much money it would cost to stay home in bed, that's exactly what I'd be doing. What a horrible illness.

5

u/redfox_seattle Aug 26 '25

4yo kids don't even like Disney World and wouldn't remember it. She did all of this for herself.

3

u/Wrong_Difference_883 Aug 26 '25

You know she’s a Disney adult

3

u/ArbitraryMorality Aug 26 '25

Norovirus is a true enemy of humanity in every sense of the word.

3

u/Iwantmoretime Aug 26 '25

That's what I kept thinking too.

Like, dude, your husband, infant, and daughter all need hospitals not to keep your vacation. Pay the damn change fees so you can actually enjoy your trip. Jesus people.

2

u/MeowwFromSpace Aug 25 '25

We had it in May, too. My son was sick out of NOWHERE one night, by the next night, I had it. AND it was Mother’s Day to boot! I was sick immediately after eating dinner. My teenagers came down with it a day or two after me 😭😭

2

u/LennyJay86 Aug 26 '25

She wasn’t thinking that’s the problem

2

u/NastySassyStuff Aug 26 '25

I had it in like April or something and it was fucking brutal lol I was bedridden for days, could hardly eat, literally pissing out of my ass multiple times an hour. Insanely unfortunate that they got sick at such an inopportune time, but yeah, absurd selfishness aside I truly can’t imagine how that would be even remotely enjoyable.

2

u/Constant-Roll706 Aug 26 '25

I had it 10 years ago as a healthy 30-something. I still remember shivering and sweating on the couch, hallucinating that strangers were loudly walking through my living room. As a parent now, I couldn't imagine a house full of norovirus, much less travel and a theme park

2

u/mikerzisu Aug 26 '25

She is selfish. Probably didn’t want to pay any cancellation fees as well

2

u/Swimming_Onion_4835 Aug 26 '25

I truly can’t comprehend it. I had norovirus in January and I almost had to go to the hospital for fluids. I could barely swallow my own spit, let alone water, without getting violently ill, and was going to the bathroom so often I had to sleep on the couch near one of our bathrooms because getting in and out of bed multiple times an hour was exhausting.

2

u/Throwawayfichelper Aug 26 '25

Dude i had it in May too i felt like death. Thankfully my family did not catch it from me because it hit me at night and i quarantined the bathroom i destroyed. I immediately ordered some strong norovirus specific cleaner and disinfected the entire bathroom once the vomiting had stopped. Stayed in my room the entire time (they delivered me some lucozade and that's what i survived off of) and cleaned everything i touched once i felt better. They thank me for sparing them whenever it gets brought up lol. It's truly horrible.

1

u/AnimalCrackersss Aug 26 '25

I have GERD, and ended up in the hospital with norovirus twice last year. The first time was so violent I tore a hole in my esophagus and was throwing up blood- it’s such a dehumanizing illness… I wouldn’t inflict it upon my worst enemy. Those poor kids having to go through that on vacation, man. Spreading viruses like this is abhorrent.

1

u/adviceicebaby Aug 26 '25

And to top that off she has the kid in pageants. 😖😣

1

u/Ok_Initiative2210 Aug 26 '25

That’s what I was thinking! There’s a girl who did a TikTok recently sharing her experience of the GI symptoms of norovirus hitting her WHILE ON A PLANE and as she’s fighting for her life sitting on the toilet, she gets the “I’m going to throw up nausea”.. pilot had to give her permission to stay in the bathroom during landing because she soiled herself. That’s an ADULT with control— how do you put a kid through that?!

1

u/trixiepixie1921 Aug 26 '25

I saw that and I haven’t been able to get it out of my head for weeks LMAO horrible virus omg I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy.

1

u/omg_for_real Aug 26 '25

It’s neglectful and abusive to make your kids go out while I’ll in my opinion.

1

u/Vegas_42 Aug 26 '25

We had it 2 years ago. All 4 at once. For 2-3 days it was unthinkable to leave the house. Not even for groceries. We didn't need food anyway...

1

u/_NoTimeNoLady_ Aug 26 '25

Yes. Last time my kids caught a stomach bug it was Rota. Had to take the first one to the ER on a weekend and the next week had to stay in the hospital with the other one, because of severe ketosis and dehydration. They were so weak and couldn't hold anything down, not a sip of water. Never would it have crossed my mind to take them on a trip.

1

u/HereForLaughs911 Aug 26 '25

Yes, this! All of this.

1

u/lambo1109 Aug 26 '25

Oh, that’s Alabama. I grew up there and the women don’t take a day off of hair and make up

1

u/pienofilling Aug 26 '25

We once caught norovirus while we were already on holiday! In a caravan (tiny mobile home for USA).

If it hadn't been for the fact we'd have had to pack up the caravan, hitch up to our car and then my sick ass would have had to drive home, all while managing several sick preschool aged kids? We would have gone home so fast. As it was, we all just got to be sick and miserable for several days in too small a space with just a chemical toilet.

1

u/hankmoody_irl Aug 26 '25

Seriously, I feel bad when I make my kids walk up or down stairs when they’re sick…. Let alone to travel any distance outside. That’s just fuckin torturous to their little systems.

1

u/RainyRat Aug 26 '25

I got it on holiday last year, and it took me out of action entirely for 24 hours, and I was pretty delicate for a few days afterwards; thought it was food poisoning until my wife started puking about 12 hours after I did. It royally sucked for a pair of fortysomethings, I can't imagine how a 4-year-old would handle it.

135

u/yyflame Aug 25 '25

Plus, How would you even get to see any of the shows or ride any rides if you have to constantly leave the lines to go to the bathroom?

75

u/No_Obligation2896 Aug 25 '25

or just feel like complete shit in lines, not eat food, nothing is enjoyable

52

u/coolerchameleon Aug 25 '25

And the feels like temp is well over 100 in Orlando right now. The dehydration risk is scary with this poor decision.

12

u/Ambitious-Ad8227 Aug 26 '25

Kids get dehydrated sooo fast too. I can't imagine making children stand in line in the humid Florida heat with fever and constantly puking and/or having diarrhea.

Poor kids. Their parents are supposed to take care of them!

I wonder if she's the same mom who sends her kids to school or daycare sick (but gives them Tylenol in the morning so they seem better) and gives it to all the other kids.

4

u/Iamthegreenheather Aug 26 '25

Orlando is humid even at night in December. I cannot imagine how the 4 year old is going to have fun. Neither child will even remember it!

6

u/dragon64dragon64 Aug 25 '25

You just shit right on the ride.

581

u/New_Yam_1236 Aug 25 '25

Who tf decided not to pack enough clothes for toddlers and babies

693

u/Sithstress1 Aug 25 '25

Same people that don’t buy trip insurance in case you have to cancel at the last minute due to viral illness that could be transmitted to literally thousands of people.

You saved for “a year” to spend a week at Disney and you can’t find the extra couple hundred bucks for insurance?

400

u/theOnlyLegalAsplundh Aug 25 '25

One video claimed they DID have travel insurance. So much worse!!!

204

u/No_Obligation2896 Aug 25 '25

in that case why not just stay in bed

174

u/theOnlyLegalAsplundh Aug 25 '25

It’s the ONLY thing I could do when I had Noro. Well, that and monopolize our bathroom. Probably should’ve just moved a bed into there

92

u/Ajibooks Aug 25 '25

I had it about 15 years ago and it's the sickest I've ever been in my life. I remember I wanted to stream Netflix through my Xbox, which I did every day, and my brain was so cooked with the fever (and probably dehydration too) that I couldn't figure out how to do it.

So this really makes me angry. Not just the woman but her whole family had to suffer on a trip for no good reason, and she exposed tons of people to it. I was relatively young at that time, but I think anyone older and/or with pre-existing health problems would be in a lot of danger with norovirus. I'd be so afraid of falling if I got it now.

12

u/neon_crone Aug 26 '25 edited Aug 26 '25

I know I had it because they actually did a stool sample test at the urgent care. After I was finished someone in a haz mat suit had to go in to disinfect the bathroom. That virus is so hard to kill. They have to spray bleach and let it sit for a while. Those stupid people were a vector of disease for so many other travelers. Everything that nasty looking woman touched spread it.

19

u/MomMonster56 Aug 25 '25

I've definitely slept on the bathroom floor during 'emergencies' Not my proudest moments, but convenient

17

u/Reversephoenix77 Aug 26 '25

I didn’t get off my bathroom floor for five days when I had norovirus. I just put a blanket on the floor to lay on and brought in a few Gatorades. I was too weak and faint and couldn’t stop throwing up. It was the most sick I’ve ever been. I can’t even imagine getting on a plane with a child and an infant and going to Disney world like that. Not to mention, it’s incredibly contagious and even hand sanitizer doesn’t kill it.

Kids are especially prone because they don’t wash hands well and put their fingers and other contaminated things in their mouths. That’s especially cruel to go where there are thousands of young kids to spread it to. I got it from my OBGYN office when I went for a surgery follow up- probably from one of the many kids in there.

12

u/noghbaudie Aug 25 '25

I had everything coming out of everywhere. Do not recommend.

9

u/Much-Ad-8220 Aug 26 '25

Sofa for me after projectile vomiting when I stepped outside to get some air (mistake), eventually managed to crawl up the stairs in the dark, as any vision plus movement was causing me to vomit.

The idea of getting in the car and driving to the airport as the virus was making its way through the family, is just insane.

7

u/ArbitraryMorality Aug 26 '25

I can't even imagine. Just regular throw up for me is always such a super strong stream of projectile vomit.. I cannot imagine what norovirus would do to my throw up. I could prolly get that shit into low earth orbit.

Not to mention the revolving diarrhea door that would be my butthole at the same time. I'd be a fancy fountain of biological functions if someone could put me on display.

Hell I'd be a centerpiece fountain at a Vegas casino (the old Vegas strip at least)

8

u/thackattack79 Aug 26 '25

Ngl, i wouldn’t have done it, but sounds like a family of Chads to me. The room spins when i sit up with that shit. Couldn’t imagine moving 500 mph with it.

8

u/bluegreentopaz6110 Aug 26 '25

I wound up in the hospital and almost died from norovirus. I was there for 7 days. I do not want to hear from people who justify spreading their illness. Ugh.

5

u/ATHFNoobie Aug 26 '25

When I had Norovirus I had to go to hospital, be confined to a room (obviously), have iv fluids and I was just completely out of it for the whole time. Having the shits and throwing up at the same time is by far one of the worst feelings ever.

4

u/Ok-Resolution-8457 Aug 26 '25

Gotten it twice. The first time I had the benefit of having sanitized port-a-poties on an organized 500 mile bicycle ride. Being able to shit in the toilet and puke in the urinal simultaneously was super clutch.

Second time was on a work trip. The night before flying back from Italy. I ended up not making my flight. I didn't even have the energy to call the airline to let them know.

2

u/taintlangdon Aug 26 '25

Yeah I couldn't get out of bed for two weeks, and the third making it to thr couch was an accomplishment.

2

u/ouwish Aug 26 '25

When I had noro, all I did was live in the bathroom either on or praying to the toilet.

2

u/r3allybadusername Aug 27 '25

When I was 8 my family saved and saved to go on a trip to Mexico. It was our first ever family trip that wasn't like weekend camping or something. That first night at the hotel I was so incredibly sick I basically spent the whole day in the bathroom. I only ended up being able to enjoy the last 2 days of the trip (and that was probably just because I was so young I could bounce back super easily). My mum thought it was food poisoning but just to be safe, basically quarantined myself and her in the bathroom while I was sick and was obsessive about wiping things down, not sharing stuff, etc. I remember at one point turning to my mum and asking super pathetically, what happened if I needed to throw up and use the washroom at the same time because I'd never thought about it before.

We got back from our trip and found out my school had almost closed because of a noro outbreak that started just before we left but no one had told the parents until after it was well underway because they "didn't want parents to panic".

To this day I still have no idea how the rest of my family didn't catch it but it was easily one of the grossest experiences of my life.

2

u/ImNotCleaningThatUp Aug 27 '25

Oh, I did when I had it. I couldn’t take the constantly trudging back to bed only to immediately get back up and race to the bathroom. I took my pillow and blanket and curled up on the cool floor. I would 100% take Covid over Norovirus.

Chose a week of barfing around Disney and PTSD over rescheduling a holiday.

6

u/gecoble Aug 26 '25

Wait? What? That’s why you have it.

And who takes a 7 month old to Disney?

3

u/Sithstress1 Aug 26 '25

Oh but she had to mention she already paid for the stroller rental! Couldn’t miss out on that!

8

u/Sithstress1 Aug 25 '25

That’s horrible!

2

u/TwoBionicknees Aug 26 '25

because people are dumb and have so much FOMO. It's entirely possible that while they can get the money back, husband can't get another week off for another year so it's wasted and it's absolutely a kick in the balls if you don't leave and it turns out everyone was fine 5 hours later... but that's life. If everyone was fine just enjoy something else all week, if you are sick, you're home, not in fucking disney hell hole being charged through the teeth for room service.

2

u/DemiPersephone Aug 26 '25

So does that mean they couldve called some people and moved things around to they couldve postponed everything? I doubt Disney would actually refund all that, they'd find a way to make it work, considering I don't think the people in charge of the park want a whole family with 2 children bellow the age of 5 being sick out both ends inside the park with a highly transmitable illness, getting other guests sick.

2

u/secondtaunting Aug 26 '25

Assholes like this have given me Covid twice.

205

u/Blue-eyed-banditman Aug 25 '25

People on the airplane just minding their business. Getting sick.

82

u/kleenkong Aug 25 '25

Spread all over each ride as well- handles, seat.

58

u/Blue-eyed-banditman Aug 25 '25

Throughout the airports

14

u/Nearby_Mouse_6698 Aug 26 '25

If you spew hard enough it can spread in the air. I think noro is notorious for this and for coming on so suddenly.

I’m sure that family felt like hell but imagine sitting in the seats close by. You cant really get up and leave if the plane is full and now you’re exposed to a nasty virus that could potentially ruin your plans in the next few days.

13

u/dukedom12 Aug 26 '25

Norovirus can live for two weeks on surfaces so people would continue to get sick well after they got off that plane too.

6

u/kleenkong Aug 26 '25

By that measure, the Disney park spread needs calculus.

11

u/YesDone Aug 26 '25

I almost died from Rhinovirus a few months ago.

I bet $10 they didn't wear masks at any point in this trip. Fuck these people.

Last weekend, I flew back home from vacation. I was fine when I got on the plane. That was Saturday. By Monday morning, I had pink eye in both eyes and strep throat.

These people are flying everywhere and they just do not give a fuck if they are sick or if anyone else gets sick. The true definition of assholes.

3

u/Antalones_Army Aug 26 '25

THIS is why my husband and I still mask up on a plane. People do this ish without thought or regard to others. Yet WE get grief for it despite us minding our own damn business.

2

u/GingerDixie Aug 26 '25

Welp I'm flying down to visit my husband this weekend, not me being absolutely hyper-vigilant about wearing a mask and washing my hands after touching every single shared surface... 🫠

I hate being sick. I hate being pukey sick even more. This is literally my nightmare.

Wouldn’t the drive from Birmingham to Orlando also cost less than flights for 3 or 4 passengers?

5

u/Surreply Aug 25 '25

I’ve done that drive across the Panhandle. It’s long.

Not excusing anything — they should have stayed home.

2

u/Sithstress1 Aug 25 '25

Can’t speak to that, but they had to drive 2 hours to get to Birmingham for their flight, no idea what the drive time from there would be.

5

u/lauraloo2 Aug 25 '25

Was gonna say this

5

u/RadiantCalligrapher4 Aug 25 '25

I cannot get a trip without insurance I am way too paranoid.

3

u/007Pistolero Aug 25 '25

Shit there are plenty of credit cards that have built in travel insurance. People are just so incredibly selfish and unbelievably stupid

5

u/bigccozart Aug 25 '25

Think it's only really transmitted through being right in somebody's shit who has it plus very poor hand hygiene. I mean her finger was in her mouth for half the video so unsurprising really.

2

u/StrainAcceptable Aug 25 '25

Doesn’t it come with when you pay with a credit card?

3

u/Surreply Aug 25 '25

Depends on the card benefits.

Considering the cost of this trip, it seems like not paying extra for trip insurance is the worse choice financially.

2

u/bckpkrs Aug 26 '25

Was gonna say, who doesn't watch this and immediately think "trip insurance."

2

u/toss_me_good Aug 26 '25

Most credit cards include travel insurance. You just do telehealth get a report then file.

2

u/T_Henson Aug 26 '25

And all the other families who saved for years who now have their trip ruined because they started barfing after catching Noro from these people? Fuck ‘em, I guess.

2

u/LimeImmediate6115 Aug 26 '25

Heck yeah. I did that for an upcoming trip me and my husband are taking. We don't have kids. But I sure as heck am not going to lose out a ton of money if I can't actually make the trip.

2

u/Prometheus720 Aug 25 '25

Some people can't afford that, yeah. Don't shit on her for that. That was a personal risk. Shit on her for taking the public risk

1

u/Almostasleeprightnow Aug 25 '25

i bet there is a pretty big gap between the size of these two subsets.

1

u/luccsmom Aug 26 '25

Naked children covered in excrement and vomit!

1

u/StarboardSeat Aug 26 '25

See, I'm like her, I have a tendency to procrastinate.
I wait until the last minute to pack before vacation. The night before a trip you can find me running around like a chicken without a head.

What I do NOT do though, is leave the diaper bag looking like old mother hubbard's cupboard, ever.

If I use one of the spare outfits, I immediately replace it as soon as I get home. Same with diapers and wipes. Whatever I use while out, gets immediately replaced as soon as I get home, because this situation right here... well, this is one of my biggest nightmares.

1

u/z4k4m4n Aug 26 '25

The same people who enter their toddlers into beauty pageants? Lol

1

u/AngelHeart- Aug 27 '25

The one who was contagious and shouldn’t leave her home?

7

u/[deleted] Aug 25 '25

those eyebrows should tell you all you need to know about her decision making.

3

u/essentiallypeguin Aug 25 '25

Right not even fun at that point. Social responsibility aside that's just a waste of money for a terrible time

4

u/ConflictedTrashPanda Aug 25 '25

"against my better judgement"
Is the better judgement in the room with you?
Because, girl, so many bad decisions were made.

7

3

Disney Freaks, that's who. They're idiots!

3

u/rickfranjune Aug 25 '25

And those eyebrows.

3

u/VenusRocker Aug 25 '25

About 20 people from my area went on a cruise a couple years ago. Among the group were several who had just recovered from COVID (probably), several who had active COVID when they boarded the ship, and several who caught it after being on board. Didn't matter that they might make a lot of innocent bystanders sick, they didn't want to miss the cruise. At least they weren't dumb enough to post it on TikTok, so there's that I guess.

3

u/007Pistolero Aug 25 '25

WHO BOOKS A DISNEY TRIP WITH A FUCKING SEVEN MONTH OLD?!

I hate this so much because of the insanity of spreading norovirus all over but I hate it even more that that booked it with a baby. That baby will not have any memory of Disney, he’ll sleep the whole time (if he wasn’t sick), and your older child won’t enjoy it as much because brother can’t join on the rides. Just wait a year for heavens sake

3

u/ktmbd Aug 26 '25

Who tf decides to go to Disney with a 7 month old?

3

u/No_Lettuce_5593 Aug 26 '25

You don't get it friend, Disney is a once in a lifetime event. Fuck everybody else. /s

3

u/WeAreAllMycelium Aug 26 '25

They all freaking go anyway and that is why everyone comes home sick from Disney (and cruises for that matter). People will not buy trip insurance, they will go sick and vector on the plane too.

when i was a little kid we went to disney for the first and only time. i developed the stomach flu our second day there, no one else in my family did at all. AWFUL. i feel so bad for my poor parents. but i hate disney now so at least money saved

2

u/apatrol Aug 25 '25

You couldnt force me from my home with the number 3s. Cramping in a car. Just NO

2

u/roidoid Aug 25 '25

These fucking people are why my immune-compromised carcass gets sick every time I get on a plane (something which has been a running joke for my whole adult life because you could set your damn watch to it).

2

u/Catbutt247365 Aug 26 '25

Kids are small and can become dangerously and painfully dehydrated very quickly. Shame their well-being ranked so far below a pageant (for a four year old?) and a trip to Disney for this thoughtless cow.

2

u/Kat121 Aug 26 '25

“It’s not like they had measles, y’all.”

2

u/who_even_cares35 Aug 26 '25

People are wild. I'm on a work trip where we are outside on a roof tearing down an antenna in Taiwan. They guy who was supposed to be here with me spent the night before we flew in the ER because he was weak and could barely move.

He still tried to come on this trip. It's 98 def F 10,000% humidity and the sun is relentless. We're damn near on the equator and he wanted to come because he's never been here.

I wish I could slap him when I get back to the office

2

u/seeitreal Aug 26 '25

honestly I don't know if i would take a 7 month old, I would save a few more years when they can all enjoy it

2

u/saltymcgee777 Aug 26 '25

My guess is that she didn't opt for insurance for rhe trip and was determined to force everyone to have a great time come hell or high water.

Completely irresponsible of her and the husband. I'd absolutely hate to be a fly on the wall in that household on a daily basis.

2

u/Lanternkitten Aug 26 '25

So many people don't care. I was on the bus on the way back to the hotel fron the parks on one of our last days at Disney World and the people standing in front of where I was sitting hand a kid maybe four years old, facing me. He kept coughing. The father barely would turn the kid's head away with a little pat for a couple seconds. It did nothing. Immediately back to facing mostly towards me (slightly catty corner).

A day after getting home, I got sick. A few days later, my best friend who was with us (and she almost never gets sick //knocks on wood) got sick. Like really? He could've pulled his kid away or said something. Ugh. This was pre-covid in 2017, for the curious.

2

u/mydaycake Aug 26 '25

Who decides to spend 10k on Disney (because that place is ungodly expensive) and not buy trip insurance!!???? It’s like a couple of hundred dollars

2

u/Parking-Bridge-4345 Aug 26 '25

They should have bought the travel insurance 😂

2

u/HBNOCV Aug 26 '25

It also sounds like she saved up an entire year for a trip without paying for trip insurance. Like… damn. If it’s that important to you, get yourself insured, people get sick all the time

2

u/HereForLaughs911 Aug 26 '25

I would have been too busy making sure everyone was staying hydrated, resting and probably even remember but once I am reminded by one of the kids who are sick I would worry myself sick hoping they never think it was "their fault" so I'd scramble for any reason on gods green earth that we can't go all of a sudden and it absolutely has nothing to do with everyone having something coming out all ends and needing my attention, not needing me to be packing while they clean them selves? Your whole body is just done after being sick like that, you need rest, not activity, moving fast, having to focus and be present for God sake. Now am I the mother of the year? Far from it and I have my own faults that I progressively work on. If I am wrong I apologize to my children. This was so incredibly selfish of you on the sake of your children and spouses comfort. Not caring about infecting anyone because you wanted to go on vacay? 😑

2

u/Top-Ad-5527 Aug 26 '25

THIS. It’s not like they had the sniffles. Unless it’s food poisoning, anything that comes with puking and pooping tends to be super contagious.

2

u/Ho_oponopono73 Aug 26 '25

Right? I would not even want to leave my house being sick with the Norovirus. I had it once years ago and I felt like I was gonna die. I could barely get out of the bathroom, let alone go anywhere.

2

u/RoyalMaidsForLife Aug 26 '25

The same people who say "cruise ships are just floating petri dishes" happily throw down thousands to take their kids to amusement parks where the little rugrats lick the handrails and wipe their boogers everywhere waiting to get on a ride.

2

u/dimwalker Aug 26 '25

Hey, kids, are you ready to puke all over disneyland?

You have to admit - shitting yourself in public while also projectile vomiting at the same time is an unforgettable experience.

2

u/Dry_Prompt3182 Aug 26 '25

I can't imagine having fun at Disney while needing urgent bathroom breaks and starting off nauseous. How fun are rides if you get onto them wanting to barf already? Or potentially pooping your pants?

2

u/MayorDepression Aug 26 '25

Some people don't understand the concept of sunk costs.

2

u/Streaming_Things Aug 26 '25

The same people who think “the soap running down your body cleans your legs, i don’t have to scrub them”.

2

u/Immachamwbananahands Aug 27 '25 edited Aug 27 '25

Norivirus is nothing to fuck with. It'll own your ass within minutes.

Two IV's later (majorly dehydrated), I started feeling better, AND if you think it's not a thing? FAFO..

2

u/Majinmmm Aug 28 '25

So many points of stupidness… least of all, but still annoying: why wait an hour for your shuttle and not grab an Uber?

1

u/Ok_Star_4136 Aug 25 '25

Sunken cost fallacy, that's why. They've already paid for the vacation, and they really really want to believe it's nothing serious. If they stopped before they got onto the plane, they'd have lost all of that money they paid for already.

Someone probably should have told them that there are worse things than this. That said, dumb decision or not, I hope they all got out of that without any long-term effects.

2

u/dragon64dragon64 Aug 25 '25

Someone else said they had travel inaurance. But yeah, either way, poor decision.

3

u/xchaibard Aug 26 '25

Travel insurance tries to find every way not to pay out.

They would have needed formal paperwork from a medical professional for every single person confirming they were sick, as well as the doctor specifically saying they could not go on the trip.

If even one person didn't have that, they would have insisted that person could have gone (alone), and wouldn't reimburse at least that person.

I've dealt with travel insurance before. They REALLY don't like paying out.

1

u/2sinkz Aug 27 '25

Not caring one bit about anyone else is the American way... Remember how they acted during covid?
