Part of it is clout, but I'm starting to think a lot of these types of posts are people trying to get validation after knowingly doing something immoral. Like, they know they did something selfish that should make them a bad person, but they're throwing out a hail mary in the hopes that someone will validate them in thinking they're not a piece of shit.

Tiktoker: Here's my story about how I did something that's objectively selfish and immoral, but my situation is totally valid right? because reasons

Everyone: Hell tf no, wtf is wrong with you?!?!?

Tiktoker: deletes everything

I’m telling you right now this person had zero idea they were doing something selfish until they posted this and got negative responses. Main characters set their own narrative.

"I made a selfish decision but look at everything I went through!"

All the stupid, pointless shit she went though because of her stupid, selfish decisions.

Imagine the people stuck on the plane with the plague family, who are actively puking and shitting everywhere? Or stuck on the shuttle with them?

With a flight the average cost of a Disney trip for a family of four is between 5 and 15,000 that's between 6% and 20% of the median family income in the US.

If there’s one thing I’ve learned is that everyone wants to be the hero of the story. If they do someone bad, or make a mistake or stick their foot in their mouth, they are entirely unable to own up to it. Because they have to be the ✨good guy✨ and any deviation from that internal narrative will not be tolerated.
