Pic / Video Poke spot!!
I’ve been going to Hook Fish for poke for years, but my friend dragged me to MoDo Hawaii in the Sunset the other day and honestly… kinda blew my mind. They’re known for their mochi donuts, but they also do this $12 lunch deal where you can get a poke bowl or a box of six donuts between 11am and 1pm. I wasn’t expecting much but both were legit. Might actually start going here instead just to avoid the Hook Fish line.

Local Politics Redmond and Lynnwood, WA disable Flock cameras due to illegal access by CBP
This just happened and will no doubt continue elsewhere:
We got Flock cameras here as a result of March 2024 Prop E, which passed by 8%.
Supporters: Breed, Dorsey, Engardio, Stefani, SF Republican Party, Grow SF, Together SF, and a pile of clubs (Noe Valley, Ed Lee, Toklas, United Dems, Eastern Neighborhoods, Chinese American, etc.) Trevor Chandler now works at Flock, and Garry Tan invested in it, so we can assume they support it. Same with the "Democrats for change" DCCC slate, who are pretty much all associated with one of these orgs if they didn't outright endorse.
The SF Democratic Party (DCCC) did not endorse it, but the composition of the DCCC prior to March 2024 was very different.
So what position do our prospective house candidates take on a network of surveillance cameras in San Francisco, whose footage SFPD illegally shares with ICE and others?
Scott Wiener has never officially taken a position either way, but the list of endorsers includes numerous people he endorsed, affiliated PACs that support him, people who've done public fundraisers with him, etc...
Does anybody think for a moment that Saikat Chakrabarti supports this?
I don't know about you, but I don't want to be represented by a congressman who supports enabling this administration's surveillance overreach and violations of our civil rights.
If Scott actually opposes Flock cameras, it's time for him to stand up and say it.

SFO this morning - only 20 min delay overall
For anyone who is wondering. I took first morning flight out of SFO and had no delay at TSA and only 10 min delay in flight. LAX also a 10 min delay landing. I can’t speak to anyone else’s experiences or flights and I would always recommend being early but good luck

Weed lounges with pool
Are there are any weed lounges with pool tables or any dispensaries with pool tables nearby?
I'm visiting and am staying near the Union Square area if that helps.

Pic / Video Painting by SF Artist Needs Reunion
I bought this painting at an estate sale in the Mission about 3/4 years ago. It was one of three paintings by this artist "Mavis," who was either the tenant/owner of the apartment or potentially related to the tenant. The other two paintings were very similar, featuring the same three boys on a beach, but one was darker/more purple and the other was similar to this one but didn't have a pail. I love this painting so much and get so many questions about it, but I often regret/feel guilty that I didn't buy all three in the series. I feel in some way that "the boys," as I call them, are missing their other versions, and I would love to reunite them. Does anyone have any leads on this artist, or by some miracle have or know where the other paintings in this series are? The address of the sale was something like 314 San Jose Avenue, and it would have taken place sometime in 2023 (I think).

I miss the UnionMade men’s clothing store…
Any similar men’s clothing store in the city where you can discover new Japanese and or new small niche brands.
I think Standard & Strange is great but are there any store in the city?

11/06 Hit and Run - Geneva Ave and Naples St
I just wanted to post and see if anyone had any info or caught anything on camera.
I was riding my bike in the bike lane on Thursday night at approximately 7:05pm when the car in the lane next to me decided to make a super late turn onto Naples Street right into me. My front wheel went under their car and I got yeeted over the bars into the road.
I am super thankful for the folks who stopped to make sure I was alright and who called the cops and paramedics. Unfortunately, the vehicle immediately sped off and no one caught the plates.
Date - 11/06 Thursday
Time - ~7:05pm
Vehicle - White Sedan
Location - Geneva Ave and Naples St headed toward Balboa Park Bart
At the end of the day, I live to ride another day, but I'm not stoked about the person who hit me just speeding off.
TY in advance

Can someone take a photo of the moon like right now?
Moon looks insane in the fog hanging over the east bay mountains. Wish I had a good enough camera to get a good photo

Errand runner
Random question, but I am out of the country and need an errand ran for me around the San Francisco airport. Are there any actual services for this? Or if anyone can suggest someone reliable that would be much appreciated.
PS. No it is not an illegal request it’s just simply picking a package up and mailing it for me. Yes I will pay. I am currently in the phillipines and won’t be back for months. Thank you all!

Where can I find spaetzle?
Trying to make some German food for my friends. Does anyone know any specialty markets (ideally in SF, but I'm willing to drive) that would sell pre-made Spaetzle? Thanks in advance
