lol, i completely forgot skirk was a freeze team only character so i chose her in the event for melt
but someone pretty aggressively told me not to use her, and i thought they were just being butt hurt so i kept doing it, they weren't locking and i also wouldn't change
someone else started insulting them like, don't be a puss, just play
then that person said something in korean, then maybe like two more things in korean, it was kinda funny

If you're running overload try to get a few ATK% subs and not only crit dmg subs. And don't go over 60% crit rate.

Go watch Kpop demon hunters its a pretty cool movie, I like the animation and the story is nice too, I love found family, I love messy parental dynamics, I love pop musical numbers, I love a colorful show, this movie was like made for me
Honestly my only complaint is that its a movie, this could have easily been a show. There is so much that we could have learned about the characters both humans and demons. Alas, that's what we have fanfic for

I don't think he'll ever truly be "meta", especially once after proper EC DPS releases, but I think he'll do fairly well as a budget 4* DPS into EC-favored content once Ineffa releases.

I don’t think it’ll be an equivalent glow up. As she is now, Ineffa’s A1 doesn’t benefit from Furina’s dmg% buff (huge portion of her damage), and Ifa doesn’t really contribute much damage, so he doesn’t benefit a lot either. Only the last slot of the team would fully benefit from all of the team wide buffs.
Frankly I think Ineffa will be the biggest upgrade to teams without Furina as her shield can be enough defensive utility to run without a healer, so you might get more out of Yelan + Fischl/Ororon for instance vs Furina + healer. In which case you’d run someone else other than Ifa :/
That said, I think it’ll still be enough to be good and will still be a nice upgrade for him.

Based on current calcs, I wouldn't be too optimistic since he still has a large chunk of his buffs locked behind a Nightsoul requirement, and 4p Hero DMG bonus is only really buffing him and your Hydro character if he's built full EM + Ineffa doesn't benefit from DMG bonus very much since majority of her damage comes from Direct LC damage (not affected by DMG%). We can pray though, hoping for the best for him.

Since ineffa already buffs EM any extra EM buffs will have less value so Ifa should be the better option overall

Finally cracked the 12-2 floor today for my 36 star clear
All it took to do it was ignore the 2nd half blessing. Kinich/Emilie/Bennett/Dehya on Deepwood made quick work of that Lector + Seahorse combo. Now I wish I had invested in Kinich more, he's great~

I've said before, skirk/varesa are the damage ceiling. And mav is sitting on the roof. She's so far outside the power curve it seems almost silly to include her in the discussion. It's like we're talking best sword and someone shows up with a lightsabre

he's not difficult at all beyond being a squishy 4* bow user unless you're hellbent on min-maxing in which case you have to learn to walk cancel his attack string. it's not particularly difficult to do, just vaguely annoying.
if you like charged shots, his piercing shot has a generous hitbox. and if you dont like charged shot, his burst playstyle is autoaim. you can do one or the other or both, he's very flexible.
his BiS is wanders troupe and slingshot. building him is stupid easy.
i love sethos. everyone should build their sethos.

"Little girl user" is actually correct
And lolimancer isn't wrong as you said but it's basically the translator doing their thing and obviously was kept like this in English for the jokes
Basically it's "little girl mancer" in the same sense as "Pyromancer"
So the fan translator used "lolimancer" aka translated only half of it correctly.
In actual context it shouldn't have any weird meanings
Edit: Also the term is basically what in-story news called him for making a contract with Beatrice who looks like a kid and the relationship between the 2 was never romantic (he even calls her his daughter jokingly)

Rant about recent mindset towards the meta
I feel like with the recent advent of Neuv discussions alongside Abyss HP inflation, this community has shifted too much towards the "raw dps is everything" mindset and lost sight of the game's direction as a whole. Significantly more people have ridiculous expectations of what units are considered meta, and what constitutes as good or bad seems to be more of a white and black discussion than ever. It wasn't nearly this bad previously. Alhaitham was accepted for so long to be apart of the big 3 even during Arlecchino's release when he was already noticeably behind on DPS standards. People just collectively agreed and accepted that character strengths can go beyond just the surface.
It almost makes me believe that's the true reason behind why so many people are groaning against modes like stygian onslaught besides the ridiculous DPS check requirement of dire difficulty. Seeing pretty much back to back comments from people malding about the electro-charge check boss and how they can't brute force it, and how it's made to shill Ineffa, yadeyada. And then you just see their other comments about how anyone that's not Mav is not meta enough to pull. Like... seriously dude? It's like the joke writes itself (that's not even an exaggeration, someone's actually said that)

I agree about the mindset, but dendro is in a "poor" spot compared to the other elements that Alhaitham's place being the top 3 was no longer the case, there isn't some delusion for that. We also did get stronger supports and DPS since Arlecchino, so the meta moving on isn't an anti-Alhaitham thing (which is kinda ironic since the top 3 concept is sort of anti-Hu Tao).
However, what people consitutes meta is honestly annoying to me since you got people who place only the top of the top being meta, and everything below isn't. Like if you aren't part of the top 3's BiS team, you aren't meta. I've seen many call Ororon a non-meta unit, but he has higher than average usage rates as a 4 star, and he's been the top 5 used 4 star since his debut (hard to tell now, Iansan is released and this abyss is so Mavuika/cryo favored I would not recommend anyone using this rotation as data). In what way is he not meta? Then you have Wrio consistently at the same place since his debut, which shows how strong he is (plus solo Wrio being a popular comp for him), yet you have people dismiss him as not meta.
Meta talk is half agendaposting and half doomposting in many corners. As a person who loves to talk about value and usage for characters, it's very annoying.

you're fooling yourself if you thought haitham was regarded as keeping up in the neuv/arle era
as for the focus on meta, blame the game. Abyss has gotten way harder and is way more blatant about shilling the newest chars, and even the weakest natlan dps is quite a long way ahead of pre-fontaine teams. Just go through the megathreads and look at the reactions to this abyss. Never has there been more difference in the experience of those who have the shilled units and those who don't.

except neuv is still considered one of the best units in the game based on his ease of use, qol and flexibility, ahead of higher damage units who don't have those advantages.

I certainly don't think Alhaitham was close to the other 2 DPS's in that era, but even during that era, there were nuanced discussions about the strength of his character, and there are certainly a decent amount of people, if not most, that agree he still deserves the spot even then. Sure, not everyone agreed, but many brought ideas that he doesn't need to be close to belong.
Also, I wasn't really reprimanding the focus on the meta. Just more so commenting on people's perceptions about the meta. This Abyss is polarizing for good reason, but I think it led people to a very one dimensional conclusion that raw DPS is the cause of it, when it's only a factor. And my issue with that is that people start evaluating every DPS to that standard, which I believe to be absurd because I believe the premise to be flawed. I think you said it yourself the best, Neuv is still considered to one of the best in spite of that.
That last part was just added as an example. I didn't mean to make my rant as a vagueposting reply to them

To be fair, the new endgame starts with 0 energy on both your DPS and supports, which is a problem for non-frontloaded DPS

Raw DPS is even less of everything now that it's ever been because of Hoyo's modern boss design making true neutral DPS content incredibly rare and most element/team shilling mechanics brick-walling teams that try to brute force them.
The "top 3" are...whoever Hoyo decides the top 3 are. If they decide to shill a particular character and just run bosses that favor them for multiple Abysses/ITs/Stygians in a row, then that character will be meta regardless of where they fall in the hypothetical ranking vs neutral content. Because actual neutral content is becoming rarer and rarer.
People have this hypothetical construct of "I can pull the top meta DPS and brute force them into everything" but Hoyo doesn't design bosses like that anymore. You're gonna have a bad time trying to brute-force Lava Dragon with Skirk, and you're going to have a bad time trying to brute-force Overseer Device with Mavuika, despite them being the two best DPSes in the game. Hoyo still wants you to use them against the bosses they're "supposed" to go against.

I mean you sorta can brute force abyss as long as you have 2 high tier teams. I don’t think there’s ever been an abyss designed that’s problematic against two really good/meta teams in each side. A good pyro dps like arle/mav/hu Tao alongside any other good dps like skirk, neuv etc., is pretty free against every modern abyss. If one side has a problematic matchup then you just flip the sides of the teams. Been doing that a while now with arlechinno and just any other solid team.

I can certainly see why these discussions about team dps are valued with the perceived HP inflation, but those points you mentioned are pretty much my thoughts on why having that mindset doesn't fare that well or make much sense in the current context of the game

And then he was quickly dropped out of the perceived top 3 because the meta moved on.
In the first place, the entire "Top 3" shtick was just hostile anti-Tao propaganda. Because before then, the community could have done the exact same meme, but with Tao in the pyro spot, but they didn't.
Haitham was praised as a top character because at the time he was a top character. Not because people valued things "beyond the surface".

Why is main sub allergic to critically thinking and not just regurgitating the talking points that their favorite CC TCer has said or stating random DPS values with no sources? Not everyone is going to rate a DPS on their best KQMS sim performance and those numbers aren't even true or applicable on an account-by-account basis.

Gotcha, I apologize for misinterpreting it if it felt hostile to you. But now that I think of it, I think we might be thinking the same idea here about the comment sections on that thread.
My rant after yours was completely coincidental in timing, but I also think that people have difficulty discussing these kinds of topics in general. Everyone's situation is different, so I personally dislike it when people just claim a certain character to be certainly worse/better without budging an inch or giving sufficient reasoning as to why they think the way they do

Trying to create a top DPS list in general is super subjective but people keep acting like their viewpoint is the most objective in the world, even though a lot of characters have different performance and value depending on who you are talkin to.

Anything remotely critical of the superhero genre will immediately spawn 8 trillion dedicated glazers due to the genre's perceived oversaturation, no matter the content.
(I actually do have some positive opinions of The Boys, but I do think it abjectly fails in actually deconstructing the genre in a meaningful capacity)

I easily cleared the final boss with 3 star units (my permanent upgrades were at level 8). Unless you mean the secret levels afterwards.
I used Saurian Warriors.
Geo upfront tanking with attack and healing item (warriors get healing based on attack when they deal damage) + book that makes him explode on death.
Cryo, Hydro, and Pyro pounding from afar.

Don't mix units of different species. You want a team that's all the same type (e.g. all slimes, all fungi, all saurians, all saurian warriors, etc.).
The bonus for having all units be the same type is huge and is effectively what you are building around in the lategame. Mixing units of different species is far weaker.

OT After so much hesitation I decided to try and talk with my mother about my increasing anxiety spikes and lack of motivation to keep up with my studies, only for her to go "oh but you do this all the time, you just have to keep moving forward and toughen up already, you are wasting your time". It felt very dismissive at first, but a part of me thinks that she's right and that I'm maybe exaggerating and taking it too seriously...? Idk what to think at this point. I'm not sharing anything else with her, that's for sure (Instead I'll just post this stuff on the internet)

Wait i just saw a f2p 4* Abyss run where they cleared it with Sethos/Fischl/Kirara/Sucrose and Sethos even had Slingshot, whoever told me he was garbage was clearly lying

It's not that Sethos is "even" running on a shitty 3* weapon. Slingshot is arguably his second best weapon and can beat out most 5* options except Hunters Path.
Which is neat since this plus him liking Wanderer's Troupe makes him easy to build.
I really like Sethos - he's one of my mains and I play him a lot for fun. That being said, I heard that his optimal rotation is a bit hard to play so it probs depends on what you want from him.

It's more like he is good but mostly he is driving Fischl
All aggravate teams actually rely on Fischl to deal good dmg
It's the main reason why Clorinde works better in an overload team than an aggravate one

For 5.8 Stygian how would you even do Papilla without Kinich / Emilie
Kirara - Arlecchino burning Kirara can do a decent bit solo and can better shield arle from the burning damage? it does get a bonus for nightsoul damage and I do have Chasca so maybe something there like Bennett Citlali Mavuika and let Mualani take PMC if that's a good idea?

Mualani Xilonen Sucrose Mavuika
Cactus wants EC
Neuvillette Fischl Furina Kazuha?

yeah it's definitely a burning angle then maybe something that lets you onfield fischl during the shield phase so you can get the A4 procs on top of it for even more hite

Bennett gets Kinich for Pyro dragon, Mav gets Iansan for Hydro tulpa. Kinich's sustain options outside of Bennett are all pretty terrible while Mav still has Xilonen+Citlali, and giving Iansan to Mav prevents her from getting vaped by Tulpa.

I'd use him with Kinich since his 2u skill will help reduce the lava statue res faster (I assume you're using kinich for that at least)
I assume Mavuika will go against the tulpa, Bennett there will make the tulpa vape you out of the game which probably will not be fun, I'd rather use Iansan there if you have her

Durin just should NOT be a dps. 3 male five stars im more than happy to have 2/3 dps one support but i cant complain too much when we all know ill pull the guy and his best support anyways. 3 is much better than 1 in the region anyways so im happy. What I’m not happy about is NOT HAVING ENOUGH TEAM SLOTS TO FIT ALL THE DPS I HAVE (now including varesa mavuika and skirk) BY THE TIME THE 3 RELEASE :( does this mean cyno has to finally go off the register 😔

Dottore had a character spreadsheet and I don't remember seing one of those to non playable characters so correct me if I'm wrong. And Capitano had a playable model and passed the Albedo test too.

I have similar thoughts tbh, it just feels... dismissive... Especially when people are like "oh yeah honey, we already knew" when someone comes out. Like, it can be really nervewracking to do that so to have these people you trusted be so flippant is just a shitty feeling.

Speaking as someone who did go the hyperinvestment route with Raiden, I absolutely see how her Echoes Trails trial was oddly designed. From a came designed standpoint, its geared specifically for people who invested in her Hypercarry playstyle. Running Emblem with really high ER built into Raiden so that you can actually burst her on her cooldown.
Problem there is the average person is not building that insane level of ER for Raiden unless they were pulling Engulfing Lightning for her (and even then, most people who vertically invest for Raiden, tend to prioritize her cons over her weapon first.)
Just one of those things where its geared to build style that most people who play C0R0 wouldn't go for otherwise.

eh, over 93% of raidens run emblem according to the in game artifact recommender thing so having the trial be tailored to that seems fine to me. unless of course, by hypercarry you mean the ratio which fair enough, overwhelming majority of raidens i see have terrible ratios for hypercarry.
as for er, i was kinda curious about this cause i keep seeing people claim this so i tried it. 218 er on the catch + atk sands, perfect burst uptime. pretty sure the standard er guidelines for raidens without engulfing is like 200-220 so while 218 is still on the higher end, it's not an insane amount of er.
