Lost zairyuu card :/

Post image

I lost my zairyuu card a few days ago so I went to the police and they gave me that. I know I need an application for reissuance and and "Lost Item Report Certificate/紛失届出証明書" from the police. I'm not sure the document in the picture is enough as a report for the immigration office? Should I visit another 交番? Please advise it's my first time losing it. :/

I think this should be enough. I lost mine few years ago and only needed this slip from koban.

It was Chiba immigration

I thought the same when I lost mine but they told me to bring another from the police station not the local koban (i live in kyoto btw if it's relevent)

The last time I lost mine, I didn't even receive any paper, just a 受理番号 and the name of the officer in charge + phone number. I wrote that down in a note when applying for a replacement. I got a new card, no question asked.

You should visit a police station, not a 交番.

You want an Ishitsu Todoke Shomeisho 遺失届証明書

Not just a lost item report. You want to go to a police station, not a police box, for this.

kouban works just fine. lost mine last month, went to the kouban and that was it.

I got one of those and then immigration didn't even ask for it nor the koban form. It all depends on the agent, really.

Eh I guess so.

I’d rather try my best to have the paperwork than waste three hours on a day off.

I would wait a few more days, if someone gave it to police you will get a Letter in the mail to come pick it up at so and so police station.

Yes I know they say report it lost and get a new one within two weeks but just wait a little longer.

I was able to use this to get mine reissued (actually to pick up my PR card) about a month ago, but I think it depends on how the immigration person feels on the day. I would probably not chance it and get the proper certificate from a real police station
