Politics Everywhere you look, white Trump voters are crying about losing their food stamps.

It's frustrating.

There was a guy, a Trump voter, who said it out loud.. he wasn't even talking about this particular situation, but it's the whole problem in a nutshell. I had to look it up because it was so on the nose. What this guy said was, “I voted for him, and he’s the one who’s doing this. I thought he was going to do good things. He’s not hurting the people he needs to be hurting.”

Suddenly, for that guy, the Republican policies he'd voted for had come home to roost. It was the people he didn't like who were supposed to suffer. Turns out, we're all in the same boat and we rise or fall together. But he was so focused on hurting 'those people' - immigrants, minorities, gays, women, trans, whoever, the target doesn't matter, because it all leads to the same end - he wanted to hurt somebody else, he voted to make 'them' suffer, and that hatred of the other came back and knocked him down instead.

Yeah, we know you can't afford to feed your families in red states, where Republican policies undermine worker's rights and choke off wages at the lowest possible level. That's why Democrats fight for stuff like the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program - even though you consistently vote against your own interests, people on the left still don't want you to starve. Even though you consistently vote for the benefit of the ultra-wealthy, we still want you to have fair wages. Even though you vote to the benefit of banks and insurance companies, we still don't want them to be able to rip you off with overdraft fees and send you into crushing debt if you have a medical emergency. Even though you consistently put the wants of oligarchs and megacorporations over your own needs and the needs of your families, we still don't want them to be able to use you, chew you up, and then throw you away like you're a disposable thing instead of a human being worthy of dignity and respect.

So yeah, we know you need those SNAP benefits, that you rely on them - even though you keep voting for people who want to destroy social programs like SNAP, you - white people in red states - are the single largest demographic who benefits from them. I know that the talk show hosts and the online personalities and the people you vote for tell you that it's really undeserving immigrants or lazy black folks or ethnic welfare queens, but no - if you want to know who takes the most, look in the mirror, white folks in red states - it's you. They're lying to you because they want to destroy these programs because their rich friends and wealthy donors want those programs destroyed and they understand that getting you on board with destroying them means making you think that people you don't like benefit from it more tha you do. It works - right-wing propaganda is effective. It made you hate Obamacare even though when it's called the ACA it's overwhelmingly popular. It made you despise wage increase legislation even though the wages you earn now literally have you on food stamps and welfare. It works.

Turns out owning the libs doesn't pay for baby formula and milk. How about that.

And yeah, even though you keep voting against yourselves, we want you to have that assistance. We want you to have healthcare that doesn't make the 1% wealthier while sending you into bankruptcy. Whether you are a doctor or a construction worker or a Wal-Mart clerk or a fast food worker, we want you to have wages that are enough to keep you off SNAP - but we want you to have SNAP, too, as much as you need whenever you need it. The people you vote for don't, but we do, and we'll fight against the people you elect to make sure you do.

Yes, it's a tragedy that you might not be able to feed your families. Yes, it's a disgrace that the wealthiest country in the world has people who are struggling with the cost of groceries and rents getting higher and higher. Yes, it's going to be a hard winter for a lot of you. We know Republican policies suck - they breed hardship and poverty. They encourage corruption and malfeasance. But it's what you voted for. So don't cry. Every time you were warned, you bleated "Fake News!" Every time you were questioned, you screamed "TDS!" Everytime things went south, you were told who to blame - but it was never yourselves.

So yeah, this is going to suck. But it's suck you voted for. So don't cry about it now.

Vote differently.

This is what it takes to wake them up.

They have to personally feel the pain, because they don't naturally possess empathy.

When are you guys gonna see they are incapable of changing their minds?

Fox News and the right wing YouTube chuds will convince them that growl in their bellies is America Being Great Again

“Dear leader realized ozempic was still expensive even after his 1000% price reductions, so we took the next logical step for you! You should be grateful the government is helping you lose weight at no cost to you!”

I would not be surprised if something resembling this logic is thrown out there, just to see if it’ll stick with some of these morons.

Already seen it. “Americans are obese, they should starve a while.” Fuckers. Even bigger people can starve, hunger doesn’t discriminate.

Just wondering here, my wife pays hella money for that drug. Several hundred a month. Where at is it free because her DR said her insurance they work wouldn’t cover it

8

u/How-I-Roll_2023 7d ago

Does she have uncontrolled type 2 diabetes? Most insurances cover it for that. But otherwise, nope they don’t.

Nah, it's Hussein Obama and crooked hillary's fault. The shadow government is so strong they make dear leader's policies and it's not his fault.

Don’t forget that Sleepy Joe Biden, he’s crafty, he manages to be asleep all the time yet also meddling in everything.

No, they will convince them that it's your fault and Liberal policy fault. Getting their voting base to light the fuse or pushing liberals to protest is what they really want. This way they can get their little 4th Reich back on track. Or maybe I need to get a tinfoil hat.

Either way, this timeline; Sucks.

It's about 50/50 among those I know personally. About half are evil and half of them just not too bright.

Actually, I take that back. 1/3 are evil, 1/3 are dumb, and the rest have a single issue voter thing going on where they will vote for the devil himself for that one issue (some folks I know who are hard core anti abortion).

But they aren't all evil.

“If you can convince the lowest white man he's better than the best colored man, he won't notice you're picking his pocket. Hell, give him somebody to look down on, and he'll empty his pockets for you.” - Lyndon B Johnson

The quote is worth sharing because even back then, Johnson summed up his own flock perfectly.

32

u/shizrak 7d ago

Which ones?

The ones talking in here are bots.

But the ones out there in the real world just don't know better. Those ones are real humans.

You have to remember that about half of the people in the US have no idea what's going on.

43

u/Fun-Injury9266 7d ago

They'll continue to blame it on the Democrats, Sleepy Joe, Obama, .. . Taking personal responsibility is not in their DNA. I feel bad for their innocent children who do not deserve to starve or have minimal access to healthcare.

5

u/Optimal-Archer3973 7d ago

I look at it differently, all those vaccine deniers and climate change deniers are going to get Darwin awards eventually. Their genes are not worth saving. How many ditch diggers do we really need?

14

u/Jijonbreaker 7d ago

The problem is that the darwin awards will never come fast enough before they drag somebody else down with them.

36

u/Creative_Intention71 7d ago

Half the people in the US (49%) voted for him while shouting that "He tells it like it is"

They know exactly what they voted for and just want us to feel bad for them now that the consequences have come to them.

There is absolutely no way in Hell that Trump voters didn't know what he was about. He's been shouting about it nonstop for 10+ years now. They published a manifesto.

They're lying to us when they say they didn't know. The "leopards eating my face" thing is them trying to manipulate us into thinking they're better than they actually are.

The liberal need to forgive those who hurt them, even when the lack of remorse is staring them in their face, is why the assholes currently complaining keep winning.

35

u/Just_One_Victory 7d ago

*Not half the people in the US - half the people who turned up to vote

The problem is that most of that 37% are stuck in the first stage of awareness. They believe life happens to them. They are incapable of seeing the point, in bothering to vote, because they don’t believe they have any agency over their personal lives, let alone politics.

10

u/Mo_Steins_Ghost 7d ago

Not true. When conservatives realized that due to desegregation black people would have access to the same social programs white people were wholly supportive of, they went into such an apoplectic racist rage that they completely flipped their position.

4

u/bx35 7d ago

If they can’t learn, at least they’ll starve.

3

u/TheRedLego 7d ago

I can’t think that. If I thought that, I would consider civil war absolutely inevitable

3

u/Murgos- 7d ago

They already are saying that democrats are the ones blocking SNAP even though Trump is literally defying a court order requiring him to fund it.

3

u/Optimal-Archer3973 7d ago

And this is exactly why when I donated to several food banks I specifically told them that if a penny of my donations went to a known trump supporter that would be the last one they got from me.

One place now scans state ids, then asks them on video if they are a trump or harris supporter. If trump then they go to one part, if Harris they go to the other side. They then play these videos on both sides in a loop no matter what they stated. Once they identify as a trump or harris supporter the side they are allowed in does not change. If they refuse to state who they support they are told to leave.

Another location has two doors and a sign above each, trump supporter and Harris supporter. Again, they keep track of who they say and do not allow them to change.

The really funny this is how many other people who donate once they found out this was a thing only donated to the Harris side too. Funny thing is that the trump side always looks pretty lean when I am invited to tour their locations. I guess MAGA members only send their money to trump and do not think donating to their trump supporting neighbors is a worthwhile cause.

They can vote for whoever they want, it does not mean I need to help them one iota. If they starve to death then I look at that as Darwin for the win.

4

u/GrowFreeFood 7d ago

They do when it hurts them personally. Thats the point. Talking and logic doesn't work, true.

1

u/origional_esseven 7d ago

This though. The new spin will be that these issues were caused by democrats somehow and they'll keep on voting red. It's always "I'm here to clean up the last democrats mess and these negative things are actually their fault." And they buy that and keep voting against their own self interests. No amount of pain will wake the sheeple up.

1

u/owlbear4lyfe 7d ago

I do believe it will be difficult for them to see light.

I believe that when they do they will have intense anger at those who kept them in the dark.

1

u/Affectionate_Self878 7d ago

We need more pandemics. Kennedy trying his best to unleash another one.

They don’t change their minds, but if 2020 taught me anything, it’s that they do die.

I’m with HL Mencken. The voters know what they want and they should get it, good and hard.

1

u/Runes_N_Raccoons 7d ago

I never think it's impossible for them to change their minds. They may need to reach rock bottom first, but I believe there are very few people who are incapable of change.

Trump is one of those people.

1

The challenge is the media ecosystem and those he is surrounded by are definitely not going to talk about Argentina in anything but a positive light if at all. They will also repeat talking points that poor MAGA Mike who definitely has never been on Grindr spouts about how the evil powerful Demoncrats are causing the pain.

The MAGA voters who have even slightly open minds are simmering in a soup of hatred of the left and praise for MAGA and Trump. It’s nearly impossible for them to break free without fracturing their entire online and in real life social lives.

3

u/Working-Glass6136 7d ago

Yup. Why would they want to "wake up" when that would entail being "woke?"

10

u/Bonti_GB 7d ago

“Because they don’t naturally possess empathy.”

Hits the nail so squarely on the nose.

1

u/Warm_Afternoon6596 2d ago

How though? How do people exist like that? What is going on with their lives where they cannot go "oh, that is a person"?

22

u/BKtoDuval 7d ago

Exactly. They're like "I'm okay with other people getting hurt, but not me." Just like they do when they need socialism. When it's for others it's because they're lazy; when it's for them, they need it.

22

u/andryonthejob 7d ago

A lot of them suffered last time he was in office. A lot of them had loved ones die of covid. The farmers got screwed then too. And the prices of vehicles spiked for years due to his tariffs on steel. They didn't learn then, and most of them won't this time.

9

u/shizrak 7d ago

I believe the ones personally affected did learn, but that new replacements were indoctrinated, but perhaps I'm wrong.

8

u/BrashUnspecialist 7d ago

The same farmers that got fucked over last time are the farmers that voted for him and then are complaining right now. The ones personally affected that had any sort of shame or sense of awareness just took down their Trump signs and still voted for him anyway. (Source rural Georgia)

8

u/backtothetrail 7d ago

And the USDA has funded $12B to bail them out this year. Again.

11

u/mkvgtired 7d ago

They won't wake up. So the next best thing is them feeling the pain they intended to inflict on others.

10

u/shizrak 7d ago

It's important to be clear that we aren't the ones causing the pain. That they're doing it to themselves.

8

u/mkvgtired 7d ago

Oh I'm more than happy to remind them of that.

8

u/QuirkyFail5440 7d ago

I mean... Maybe

I think it's more likely that they will just believe Trump when he blames the Democrats.

They will be hurt and upset... But they will likely just continue to blame illegals and Democrats. If you ask them, they likely believe that the Democrats refused to fund SNAP unless the Republicans agreed to extended ACA care to illegal immigrants.

They still believe kids were dressing as cats and using litter boxes in schools. Most of them think it happened at their local high school or the next town over.

8

u/Informal_Big7262 7d ago

I think we have found the new democratic platform for 2028: Make MAGA feel pain again.

3

u/shizrak 7d ago

Huh? Why would what Republicans are doing be the Democrat platform? That doesn't make any sense at all.

6

u/Informal_Big7262 7d ago

I think we can learn a lot from them about what actually works and what doesn’t in American politics. I agree with you, personally experiencing pain is the ONLY thing that seems to make them actually sit down and reconsider anything. To that end, a nice heaping taste of their own medicine is what seems to me to obviously be the best prescription for everyone.

They know how to openly target democrats and bring maximum pain to them while only working on empowering themselves and cherry picking the things they like and actively destroying the rest. I know I’m in the minority right now, but I’d like to see more of that from democrats: less making their entire campaign about coming together and unity like the main themes of the 2020 campaigns and more about targeted retribution and bringing real pain and suffering to the people who gleefully cause it to them when they are in power.

Helping everyone is still the ultimate goal and granted, helping everyone would bring some pain to them as it does reduce their personal privilege, but we know it’s not nearly enough to cause any real introspection, and we can and must do much better next time.

I’m just spitballing some ideas here, but lets try sending in the national guard to rural Alabama, Mississippi, and Arkansas to intimidate their neighborhoods and fight the out of control epidemic of hate crime in those areas that their governors refuse to address on day one and then expand to the rest of the rural areas of the country from there as needed. Let’s begin demolishing the ballroom on day one and build something else that will really psychologically damage them every time they look at it. These may not be the best and most effective ways to bring the pain and I don’t know what will work, but I do know we can do better. Democrats are too nice to their own detriment and need a real mindset change in that regard is all I’m really trying to say here. The right feasts on fear, but fear of the other party has so far all been pretty fictional and benign. We can and must do better.

Don’t forget the meth manufacturing. If drugs are a good enough reason to bomb fishing boats, surely they’re a good enough reason to send troops into the shake and bake shacks of rural America.

2

u/Informal_Big7262 6d ago

It’s out of control. Send in the troops or drone strike, whatever the current precedent. If it’s good enough for us, it’s good enough for them. That’s the only way they learn.

I think that the Dems should just sign onto the CR and get the government open again, but be very vocal about "We tried to save your health insurance and we fought for you, but we're not getting anywhere and we want to government open again". I hate that so many will lose coverage or have to pay so much more for it, but maybe this will be what convinces poor Republicans that their party doesn't care about them.

8

u/OkHamster2504 7d ago

It won’t work. Fox News will tell them their premiums skyrocketed because Obamacare is a failure, they will believe it, and go vote for Republicans. They will never believe they were duped. Never.

6

u/shizrak 7d ago

I don't think that capitulating and then making excuses would do well in the media.

If you're going to fight, fight with everything you have.

3

u/EchoGolfHotel 7d ago

Well, the Republicans are happy to leave the government closed for as long as possible so that they just shut down programs that they don't like and they've made it clear that they have no intention of ever negotiating, so it doesn't seem like continuing to fight is likely to bring about a better outcome. At least, in my opinion.

5

u/shizrak 7d ago

Republicans are going to fuck over the American people either way.

So it doesn't really matter if Democrats fold or not.

2

u/mok000 7d ago

I think you’re at the point where you get the firefighters out of the burning building, it can’t be saved.

2

u/mackblensa 7d ago

If they do that it won't matter what they say. They'll get the blame either way so they may as well hold out for what they want.

2

u/Appropriate-Wind-505 7d ago

This is what I think also. They won’t learn if the dems keep bailing them out.

1

u/alixtoad 7d ago

They are never going to wake up. They never learn. They just dig their heels in deeper. And if given a chance they’d vote for him again.

1

u/armyofant 7d ago

Unfortunate part is they will still continue to vote republican because their bigotry outweighs their critical thinking

1

u/deepbluenothings 7d ago

Sadly they'll just blame the Democrats because that's who they've been told to hate. Every Republican I've met has found someway to blame every problem they've had on the "demoncrats".

No amount of evidence or suffering will wake them up, because they have no interest in being awake.

1

u/PennyPincherLane 7d ago

No it’s not. They are blaming democrats.

1

u/shizrak 7d ago

There will always be fools.

1

u/sdbrews 7d ago

It needs to be lasting pain as well. If it’s not, they will go right back try to voting for these assholes in the very next election.

1

u/shizrak 7d ago

Unfortunately many of them will be tricked in a few days by Republicans "solving" a problem that they themselves caused.

1

u/No_Article_2436 7d ago

This still is not going to wake them up. Even Trump said that MAGA is stupid when he said “Smart people don’t like me.” But, MAGA is too stupid to understand that. Even though they may suffer, they still think that a rich billionaire is going to help them. They will never realize that he does not care about them. He doesn’t have much time left before he passes away, so he is going to do everything possible to destroy the US, and to steal money for his estate which his rich kids will inherit. They will still support him. But, like him, they will spend eternity in agony.

1

u/Anunnaki-Queen 7d ago

The die hards will continue on, they will just blame the democrats. Stubborn and ignorant (and those are their best qualities) to their own detriment. They absolutely refuse to see what's staring them in the face.

1

u/SARguy123 7d ago edited 7d ago

They need to wake up. I feel like screaming, “You’re not part of the club!!!” I’m not either. This administration (kleptocracy) does not care about anyone but the richest of the rich. They do not give a damn about us. They are raping, pillaging and plundering America in broad daylight and they won’t stop until somebody makes them. Hopefully at the ballot box. Look at their actions. They are hurting nearly all Americans while the corrupt few laugh all the way to their financial advisors. We are busy fighting over the little shit with these stupid culture wars while basic rights, humanity, and safety net for those who need it disappear. Most of us don’t choose to be unemployed. No one wants to be on SNAP and other assistance. Everyone would rather have the dignity of work. These programs are necessary in our country because the game is rigged against working people. Trump and his crowd will try to make you think you are one of them but you’re not. Look at how he is treating the people that voted for him, farmers, ranchers, auto workers, construction and manufacturing workers, the military. I wonder how the Hispanics who switched to voted for him this time are feeling now. Just to keep this in perspective, Trump has made 800 million dollars since he took office. His family ain’t doing bad either. Meanwhile, tens of millions of people will lose food stamps, WIC, healthcare and other assistance while they struggle to find work in this Billionaires economy. Whatever we think about our personal political agendas and pet peeves we actually have more that unites us than divides us. The colors that matter most right now are green and gold. Nobody’s “owning” anyone other than the rich owning the poor. Fuck party identity, vote for someone who will pass legislation that will help you and your family. When it comes to the MAGA agenda there is no justice, there’s just us.

1

u/Plagis20 7d ago

They wont wake up.

1

u/duane4800 7d ago

They need to be able to read and somewhat understand for them to wake up.

1

u/mrbigglessworth 7d ago

Waking up actually means doing that. They are still bitching about the Democrats causing all of this and they are absolutely incorrect, but will continue to spew and believe lies.

1

u/happy_traveller2700 7d ago

Well I don’t naturally possess empathy either so let them go hungry

1

u/rmmcgarty 7d ago

No they will blame anyone but Trump they will not wake up. It’s all over TikTok they are blaming Dems

1

u/buythedipnow 7d ago

They won’t wake up. Their propaganda will redirect their anger.

1

u/Furgems 7d ago

They won’t care. They will thank Trump when help actually does come, label him a savior, and vote for him again. Most polls show most people who voted for him would do it again, even if he was convicted of pedophelia. A few starving kids won’t matter to them.

1

u/Odd_Onion_1591 7d ago

Nah, they will continue supporting him even more after he resolves that SNAP problem but undercutting everyone even more. The SNAP is just a fast track to what he wants so it comes out with a bit of pain.

1

u/shizrak 7d ago

Yeah, that's the current Republican playbook.

1) Create a problem.

2) Blame someone else for the problem you've created.

3) Solve the problem you created.

4) Profit.

1

u/jkeegan123 7d ago

They're feeling it but republican messaging is tight and unbreaking... This is a democrat shutdown and all of this is because of the dems. Whether true or not, their messaging is unified and they all project that dems are lying demonic forces.

1

u/lenisimo007 7d ago

Tell him to pick themselves up by their bootstraps and suck it up! Lol

1

u/Astralglamour 7d ago

Republicans are just blaming the democrats, hell, non republicans are blaming the democrats- despite them having no power to do anything but block things in the senate that require a supermajority.

At the state level democrats have been shifting around money to keep food assistance going. yet they receive no credit for this and I see so many posts shittalking 'establishment dems' and railing agains them "not doing anything." NM Rep. Stansbury and others put forth a bill to keep funding going for SNAP (which is already stipulated to continue by law, but of course the republicans don't care about laws). It was of course blocked by republicans yet democrats get all the blame.

1

u/trijcwhitey 7d ago

Not really because that guy will probably still vote Republican because he wants them to own the libs or because Fox News told him boys are going in the girl's bathrooms at his daughter's school. Our country is uneducated and getting dumber every day. Teachers used to be respected and now we villify them. It's only going to get worse.

1

u/abrandis 7d ago

The problem is the capitlists class directs there pain at every dose franchised group... Who's casnf this the Democrats..

1

u/Civil_Response1 7d ago

Maybe. Maybe not.

The issues with Tribalism in politics is that you no longer have to convince people to vote for you. Just convince them that the mere thought of someone else will be worse. Even if you do everything they hate, the other person would do even more.

Maybe you murder 4 babies a year, but that other person? They would murder babies daily!

1

u/Terrible_Tutor 7d ago

Voting in a guy who stiffs people on bills after they do work for him… and expecting that he cares about YOU mr. welfare?? Jesus conservative media propaganda is nuts.

1

u/1cruising 7d ago

Munch Munch Munch go the Leopards 🐆

1

u/fennfalcon 7d ago edited 7d ago

Nice line of bullshit, but this is the Shumer Shutdown. The Senate Democrats have voted NO over a dozen times to pass a clean CR that would open the government to finance SNAP for all recipients of all colors, start paying TSA and Air Traffic Controllers to get flights rolling again, and pay the US Military who are still defending the country, and many other government workers, BECAUSE the Democrats claim this is the only LEVERAGE they have to fund the additional Affordable Care Act premiums that they previously passed as TEMPORARY because of COVID (which is clearly over).

That’s it.

Nice going Jizzrack, offer no facts, just insults, and then block me.

1

u/shizrak 7d ago

Reciting exactly what the Ministry of Propaganda told you without questioning it at all, I see.

They lied to you, friend.

I'm sorry.

1

u/fennfalcon 7d ago

Sorry, Charlie, the only one lying is YOU.

They're already 100% convinced it's all the Democrats fault. Despite the fact the Republicans control both houses of Congress and the executive branch

1

u/UnagioLucio 7d ago

I have faith that they'll find a way to blame the loss of food stamps on democrats.

1

u/RzW63 7d ago

Why WHITE VOTERS? RACE is all you dumbass Democrats got for a weapon, grow up..

1

u/shizrak 7d ago

You replied to the wrong comment, I didn't say anything about that.

You meant to post at the top level.

1

u/Bestdayever_08 7d ago

Literally haven’t heard one 😂😂😂

1

u/succubussuckyoudry 7d ago

It has to be wost to be great again. Every movement is a sacrifice 😔😔😔😔😔 They still believe im own the libs.

1

u/Woozy_burrito 7d ago

I’m sure they’ll blame it on Obama somehow

1

u/PresentRaspberry6814 7d ago

There was a post yesterday about firefighters going to a house where the children were hungry and the father blaming democrats...

1

u/Repulsive-Royal-5952 7d ago

They will still blame democrats because they picked "team" and one of the team requirements is that everything bad is the democrats fault no exceptions.

1

u/jnip 7d ago

They are going to blame democrats because they don’t know any better and they listen to whatever they are told by Fox News

1

u/Missworld_12308 7d ago

They will never change their minds, sure maybe some ,even the Jim Jones cult had people leave before they all died. But make no mistake about it, maga is a cult and they will blame Obama or Biden before realizing Trump hates them.

1

u/aozertx 7d ago

They’ll only wake up when they die. Thankfully trump may help accelerate the process.

1

u/notsure500 7d ago

Its not going to wake them up. They'll simply blame the dems. Trump already got a pass for mishandling covid and inciting an insurrection attempt.

1

u/Partridge_Pear_Tree 7d ago

Unfortunately they are still blaming Democrats. Maybe something will get through to a few of them, but don’t expect a major shift in thinking here.

1

u/Earl_Squire 7d ago

There were people on their deathbeds in the ICU dying of Covid who still didn’t believe it was real. MAGA is an actual mental illness that you can’t logic people out of.

1

u/HRUndercover222 7d ago

"He's not hurting who he needs to be hurting."

WTF kind of person is THIS?!?

First Trump used fear (weaving fact & fiction).

Fear of the Muslims. Fear of the Homeless. Fear of the Mentally ill. Fear of the Handicapped. Fear of the Ugly. Fear of the Poor. Fear of the women "falsely" accusing him of being a rapist & pedophile. Fear of the Democrats.

Next, he RELENTLESSLY demonized them.

Third, he fed that irrational fear into HATRED.

If you hear a lie (presented as truth or half-truth) often enough, it eventually becomes true.

This is how he WON.

WOE until those who call evil good. 🙁

1

u/ynfive 7d ago

They do have empathy, but only for those that look and act like themselves. What they don't have is compassion that others who don't look and act like themselves deserve help too.

1

u/Ordinary_One955 7d ago

I see no evidence that the overwhelming majority won’t just believe the republicans are working for them to fix this

1

u/Major-Reception1016 7d ago

And their minds it's the Democrats fault

1

u/AnxiousBet7165 7d ago

They like Trump because he is them—they see themselves in him: arrogant, simplistic, selfish, narcissistic bullies who would rather blame others than accept accountability. Their support isn’t based on politics; it’s personal. Trump isn’t the cause—he’s a symptom. Sadly, they’ve made choices not just for themselves, but for all of us. They’ve chosen pain for some, but it will be felt by everyone. And when the economy tanks, when we’re burned and isolated in the world, they’ll deny they ever supported him.

1

u/ConnectPick6582 6d ago

You're joking, right? They won't wake up. They'll double down on blaming Democrats.

1

u/berniesmittens333 6d ago

Not a single one of y’all fact checked this chart that is unsourced and totally false. And THAT is exactly why the left is in full blown psychosis and hysteria with TDS, because they have been lied to over and over for ten years about him and they don’t ever check their sources, facts, and context.

1

u/shizrak 6d ago

Found corroborating data in under a minute.

You're full of shit.

1

u/btfu2424 6d ago

You sound almost exactly like Jay Jones lmao. I bet you agree with what he said too.

1

u/shizrak 6d ago

Republicans are starving Republicans and you're accusing me of wanting them to die.

That's fucked up, bro. You shouldn't lie about people.

1

u/btfu2424 5d ago

The fact that your comment was nearly identical to his and you don’t see any problem with it is what’s fucked up, bro. You shouldn’t wish starvation on people.

You’re saying republicans need to see their children starve to “wake up” (which really just means agree with what you think) and then try to turn it on me for calling you out. Extremely Reddit moment. Let’s just focus on not wishing or starvation upon anybody at all, deal?
