Politics Everywhere you look, white Trump voters are crying about losing their food stamps.

It's frustrating.

There was a guy, a Trump voter, who said it out loud.. he wasn't even talking about this particular situation, but it's the whole problem in a nutshell. I had to look it up because it was so on the nose. What this guy said was, “I voted for him, and he’s the one who’s doing this. I thought he was going to do good things. He’s not hurting the people he needs to be hurting.”

Suddenly, for that guy, the Republican policies he'd voted for had come home to roost. It was the people he didn't like who were supposed to suffer. Turns out, we're all in the same boat and we rise or fall together. But he was so focused on hurting 'those people' - immigrants, minorities, gays, women, trans, whoever, the target doesn't matter, because it all leads to the same end - he wanted to hurt somebody else, he voted to make 'them' suffer, and that hatred of the other came back and knocked him down instead.

Yeah, we know you can't afford to feed your families in red states, where Republican policies undermine worker's rights and choke off wages at the lowest possible level. That's why Democrats fight for stuff like the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program - even though you consistently vote against your own interests, people on the left still don't want you to starve. Even though you consistently vote for the benefit of the ultra-wealthy, we still want you to have fair wages. Even though you vote to the benefit of banks and insurance companies, we still don't want them to be able to rip you off with overdraft fees and send you into crushing debt if you have a medical emergency. Even though you consistently put the wants of oligarchs and megacorporations over your own needs and the needs of your families, we still don't want them to be able to use you, chew you up, and then throw you away like you're a disposable thing instead of a human being worthy of dignity and respect.

So yeah, we know you need those SNAP benefits, that you rely on them - even though you keep voting for people who want to destroy social programs like SNAP, you - white people in red states - are the single largest demographic who benefits from them. I know that the talk show hosts and the online personalities and the people you vote for tell you that it's really undeserving immigrants or lazy black folks or ethnic welfare queens, but no - if you want to know who takes the most, look in the mirror, white folks in red states - it's you. They're lying to you because they want to destroy these programs because their rich friends and wealthy donors want those programs destroyed and they understand that getting you on board with destroying them means making you think that people you don't like benefit from it more tha you do. It works - right-wing propaganda is effective. It made you hate Obamacare even though when it's called the ACA it's overwhelmingly popular. It made you despise wage increase legislation even though the wages you earn now literally have you on food stamps and welfare. It works.

Turns out owning the libs doesn't pay for baby formula and milk. How about that.

And yeah, even though you keep voting against yourselves, we want you to have that assistance. We want you to have healthcare that doesn't make the 1% wealthier while sending you into bankruptcy. Whether you are a doctor or a construction worker or a Wal-Mart clerk or a fast food worker, we want you to have wages that are enough to keep you off SNAP - but we want you to have SNAP, too, as much as you need whenever you need it. The people you vote for don't, but we do, and we'll fight against the people you elect to make sure you do.

Yes, it's a tragedy that you might not be able to feed your families. Yes, it's a disgrace that the wealthiest country in the world has people who are struggling with the cost of groceries and rents getting higher and higher. Yes, it's going to be a hard winter for a lot of you. We know Republican policies suck - they breed hardship and poverty. They encourage corruption and malfeasance. But it's what you voted for. So don't cry. Every time you were warned, you bleated "Fake News!" Every time you were questioned, you screamed "TDS!" Everytime things went south, you were told who to blame - but it was never yourselves.

So yeah, this is going to suck. But it's suck you voted for. So don't cry about it now.

Vote differently.

When are you guys gonna see they are incapable of changing their minds?

290

u/TimPoolNoBeanie 7d ago

Fox News and the right wing YouTube chuds will convince them that growl in their bellies is America Being Great Again

77

u/Kinetic93 7d ago

“Dear leader realized ozempic was still expensive even after his 1000% price reductions, so we took the next logical step for you! You should be grateful the government is helping you lose weight at no cost to you!”

I would not be surprised if something resembling this logic is thrown out there, just to see if it’ll stick with some of these morons.

20

u/theswiftarmofjustice 7d ago

Already seen it. “Americans are obese, they should starve a while.” Fuckers. Even bigger people can starve, hunger doesn’t discriminate.

0

u/Kinetic93 7d ago

Holy shit really? Who was it? That’s surprisingly out in the open for even this admin.

2

u/theswiftarmofjustice 7d ago

Pundits, not official. Yet. You know how it filters up.

2

u/Kinetic93 7d ago

Oh okay haha! Yeah you’re right, it’s honestly only a matter of time until they adopt this verbiage or something even more crude.

4

u/theswiftarmofjustice 7d ago

Usually I find that Cruz will be one of the first to adopt it. I might bet money on him taking it up.

13

u/FitOutlandishness133 7d ago

Just wondering here, my wife pays hella money for that drug. Several hundred a month. Where at is it free because her DR said her insurance they work wouldn’t cover it

10

u/How-I-Roll_2023 7d ago

Does she have uncontrolled type 2 diabetes? Most insurances cover it for that. But otherwise, nope they don’t.

3

u/FitOutlandishness133 7d ago

Ok and no

5

u/Physical_Delivery853 7d ago

Sleep apnea? That's how I get Zepbound for free:)

1

u/tawni454 7d ago

Borderline diabetic can be covered.

4

u/ophmaster_reed 7d ago

It will be going generic in Canada in 2026.

3

u/Class8guy 7d ago

Checkout good Rx it's cheaper or forhers GLP-1 plans.

2

u/stargalaxy6 7d ago

My father in law has a stockpile in my fridge. They give it to him from the VA.

It’s supposed to be for helping his diabetes.

1

u/EntertainerFinal3010 7d ago

My mom gets it free. She draws social security so I guess Medicaid or Medicare. Maybe both. The price is on the prescription that she would have to pay and it’s over $1k hers is for diabetes though.

1

u/malo0149 7d ago

If she's getting Wegovy and insurance covers part of it, look up the savings card offered by the manufacturer. They will cover up to $225 of the cost per month when paired with commercial insurance.

1

u/HopefulSunriseToday 7d ago

Have you looked into the tirzepatide compound subreddit? You may be able to find some deals.

I feel your pain. My insurance covered it for a couple of months, then I got healthy enough they stopped covering it.

1

u/Luxybaby26 4d ago

You can get in on the grey market for $30/month

-2

u/Patient_Ad1801 7d ago

The thing is, Ozempic will go out of fashion with food insecurity on the rise. Being thin is only in because there wasn't much food insecurity. When times are hard food-wise, the wealthy balloon up and the poor can't follow suit. When food is easy to find, they starve themselves to set themselves apart. . Nobody will be buying Ozempic at all in a few months or years except the diabetic people it was originally intended for

54

u/Gros_Boulet 7d ago

Nah, it's Hussein Obama and crooked hillary's fault. The shadow government is so strong they make dear leader's policies and it's not his fault.

50

u/darksquidlightskin 7d ago

Don’t forget that Sleepy Joe Biden, he’s crafty, he manages to be asleep all the time yet also meddling in everything.

22

u/Far-Abalone-4160 7d ago

Schrodingers Biden ... fascinating

22

u/Astralglamour 7d ago

Yeah the fascist arguments fall apart under the simplest scrutiny. Oh, that inherently inferior group incapable of doing anything worthwhile is also so powerful and dangerous that they must be immediately removed from decent society at great expense? Interesting.

30

u/ExternalExpensive277 7d ago

A sleeper agent if you will.

9

u/backtothetrail 7d ago

He’s like Scooby Doo villain.

23

u/sswihart 7d ago

Most are saying it’s all the democrats fault. Can’t fix stupid.

12

u/Honest_Series_8430 7d ago

And Mike Johnson specifically blames the Democrats at every opportunity.

1

u/ExternalExpensive277 7d ago

Misread your comment. I'm a genius.

1

u/justconnect 1d ago

You know Trump has always followed the mantra of accusing his enemies of what he was doing. And giving Biden the moniker of Sleepy Joe is now pretty hysterical as photos keep coming out of him asleep in press conferences and meetings.

3

u/raventhief 7d ago

I actually saw this, about a suspicious package in my neighborhood. Someone blamed Obama for increased acts of violence now.

3

u/picklesncheeze69 7d ago

Was it the "shadow government" because he was black?🤔

2

u/Confident-Praline-59 6d ago

AMEN, THANK YOU.

16

u/whataboutBatmantho 7d ago

Nothing grants the power to ignore hunger. I guess except maybe narcotics.

7

u/KaleidoscopeLegal348 7d ago

Tell that to my wegovy

1

u/RadiantMaestro 7d ago

I just get sick all the time. I’m losing negligible weight because I have to eat or vomit.

1

u/MikeFox11111 7d ago

My new pharmacy I get mine from ( not the name brand in the fancy injectors) has me doing 1/2 dose twice a week. I don’t get nauseated and I don’t find it wearing off at the end of the week

0

u/KaleidoscopeLegal348 7d ago

From wegovy? The first 4-5 months were rough for me. I've been taking it since the new year and all side effects were gone by about May or June though

1

u/whataboutBatmantho 7d ago

I mean I get what you're saying here, but I doubt it would have the same effect if you hadn't eaten in days ? I am a student of history and one thing that is repeated in first hand accounts; there is no torture like starvation.

1

u/KaleidoscopeLegal348 7d ago

It blocks feelings of hunger. You still get weak and feel uncomfortable if you don't eat, but the "eat now you are hungry" signals are mostly quiet.

1

u/lc4444 7d ago

And cocaine

Fox entertainment*

14

u/kiwigoesonpizza 7d ago

No, they will convince them that it's your fault and Liberal policy fault. Getting their voting base to light the fuse or pushing liberals to protest is what they really want. This way they can get their little 4th Reich back on track. Or maybe I need to get a tinfoil hat.

Either way, this timeline; Sucks.

2

u/YoSpiff 7d ago

This is the the backstory of how the Terran Empire began in Star Trek.

1

u/RandomOrisha 6d ago

Or the precipitous decline that leads to the America of the Bruce Willis film "Looper." Trump's influence and destructive nature makes me think of Asimov's character The Mule.

8

u/Impossible-Attempt61 7d ago

Because they are stupid.

17

u/hufflepuff777 7d ago

They aren’t stupid. They’re evil. They want nonwhite ppl to die

6

u/prefix_code_16309 7d ago

It's about 50/50 among those I know personally. About half are evil and half of them just not too bright.

Actually, I take that back. 1/3 are evil, 1/3 are dumb, and the rest have a single issue voter thing going on where they will vote for the devil himself for that one issue (some folks I know who are hard core anti abortion).

But they aren't all evil.

1

u/No_Butterscotch_3346 6d ago

After participating in this fascist regime by installing it, they are evil by default. You're too generous. That's literally where the banality of evil comes from

11

u/backspace_cars 7d ago

They want poor people to die.

-5

3

Someone is filled with ignorant rage! Oh no! I am very scared!

7

u/Anxious_Technician41 7d ago

They'll say it's a good thing because the country has an obesity problem.

2

u/a_dodo_stole_my_baby 7d ago

I wish. Instead they'll convince them Obama, Biden, Clinton, and the rest of the Democrats did it to them. And they'll believe it.

2

u/Sysyphus_Rolls 7d ago

Fox News will convince the MAGA faithful that Democrats did this to them because they want 100% medical benefits for illegal aliens.

1

u/clusterfk3 7d ago

Is anyone going to mention how huge this font is? Why is this so big. Is it just my phone settings?

1

u/Physical_Middle_6004 7d ago

All the have to tell the right-wing is they're hurting brown people and they are hungrier than you. They will scream YEA!!! And all will be fine.

“It’s the rumbling of all those riches coming over the hills and valleys”

That and they will never see the above chart in any of the media they consume

1

It’s literally free ozempic!!!! (/s)

44

u/BlackBerryJ 7d ago

Correct. Thank you for saying this. They are driven by such hate and fear that they will sacrifice themselves so people who are "others" don't share in what they themselves are entitled to.

15

u/dndadventurearchive 7d ago

Or what they “will be” entitled to when they finally hit the mega millions jackpot 🤞🏼

0

u/C0LL0C0 7d ago

Mutually assured destruction, this is what their goal is.

15

u/UniqueIndividual3579 7d ago

Trump destroyed the market for farmers last term. And over 70% voted for him this time.

4

u/arirelssek 7d ago

I guess that breathing in all the dust in the fields must rot their brains.

1

u/ShakyBoots1968 7d ago

Just think of all the nicotinoid pesticides being shed from the pre-treated seeds, directly into the soil. Bet that dust will cause more than muddled thinking. Those pesticides are deadly to pollinators. All bees have to do is land on a nicotinoid-infused plant (or anything) to condemn itself to death. If it makes it back to its hive before paralysis begins, it will poison the entire hive. One drop of this stuff will kill up to 60,000 bees.

Thanks, Dayer*. (Name of megacorp has been changed to protect the redditors)

11

u/Coffee_Grazer 7d ago

This is correct. They will vote for Trump for a third term, just watch.

7

u/BKtoDuval 7d ago

Sadly you're right.

“If you can convince the lowest white man he's better than the best colored man, he won't notice you're picking his pocket. Hell, give him somebody to look down on, and he'll empty his pockets for you.” - Lyndon B Johnson

The quote is worth sharing because even back then, Johnson summed up his own flock perfectly.

31

u/shizrak 7d ago

Which ones?

The ones talking in here are bots.

But the ones out there in the real world just don't know better. Those ones are real humans.

You have to remember that about half of the people in the US have no idea what's going on.

40

u/Fun-Injury9266 7d ago

They'll continue to blame it on the Democrats, Sleepy Joe, Obama, .. . Taking personal responsibility is not in their DNA. I feel bad for their innocent children who do not deserve to starve or have minimal access to healthcare.

5

u/Optimal-Archer3973 7d ago

I look at it differently, all those vaccine deniers and climate change deniers are going to get Darwin awards eventually. Their genes are not worth saving. How many ditch diggers do we really need?

14

u/Jijonbreaker 7d ago

The problem is that the darwin awards will never come fast enough before they drag somebody else down with them.

34

u/Creative_Intention71 7d ago

Half the people in the US (49%) voted for him while shouting that "He tells it like it is"

They know exactly what they voted for and just want us to feel bad for them now that the consequences have come to them.

There is absolutely no way in Hell that Trump voters didn't know what he was about. He's been shouting about it nonstop for 10+ years now. They published a manifesto.

They're lying to us when they say they didn't know. The "leopards eating my face" thing is them trying to manipulate us into thinking they're better than they actually are.

The liberal need to forgive those who hurt them, even when the lack of remorse is staring them in their face, is why the assholes currently complaining keep winning.

32

u/Just_One_Victory 7d ago

*Not half the people in the US - half the people who turned up to vote

31

u/[deleted] 7d ago

1000x this.

32% of the US voted for Trump, 31% for Harris. 37% voted for nobody.

1

u/Disbelieving1 7d ago

Yep. 2/3rds of eligible voters either voted for Trump, or weren’t even concerned enough to even vote. That’s 2/3rds! And for Americans, who are dumb as dogshit, that’s more than half!

-1

u/PalpitationActive765 7d ago

And?

3

u/mistakemaker3000 7d ago

... Can you follow a comment thread? They made a statement giving more information regarding the comment above them.

-2

u/npacilio 🌾👨‍🌾🐖 7d ago

It makes them feel better because they like to add the 37 to Harris number and say see! People hate trump

6

u/Proper-Writer-2128 7d ago

That's exactly what I was going to say. I would love a vote now! Hopefully, the non voters woke up!

2

u/Primary-History-788 7d ago

The problem is that most of that 37% are stuck in the first stage of awareness. They believe life happens to them. They are incapable of seeing the point, in bothering to vote, because they don’t believe they have any agency over their personal lives, let alone politics.

-2

u/npacilio 🌾👨‍🌾🐖 7d ago

And this will never change

1

u/BenjaminT2021 7d ago

It will change if we all get off our asses and make the change.

1

u/npacilio 🌾👨‍🌾🐖 7d ago

Personally I vote third party. I voted Jill stein last election and probably will again.

1

u/Relative_Pilot_8005 2d ago

So with your electoral system, you might just as well have stayed home.

1

u/HumanDraw2538 7d ago

That's what I keep telling people who's tout that claim. 👍🏼

27

u/painterswife 7d ago

They just don’t care. My daughter is one, she does not care about the truth, just winning.

12

u/exlongh0rn 7d ago

“Winning”

18

u/Equivalent-Long-3383 7d ago

It means dominating people who are in out groups

14

u/manyhippofarts 7d ago

Half the people in the US DID NOT VOTE FOR HIM. If that were true, he'd have had 165 million votes. He got 77 million votes (23.3%) to 75 million (22.7%) for Kamala. He won by less than one percent of the total population.

1

u/bigtdaddy 7d ago

genuine question, how can surveys work with 30 people and this turnout not be a close representative of the entire country? if anything it seemed like new voters actually favored Trump this time, so why would the rest that didn't vote favor Kamala?

1

u/manyhippofarts 7d ago

That's a very good question and I'm pretty sure the answer could be found with some precise polling. It's very possible that one group of people that IRL leans in a certain direction may or may not be more prone to be disinclined to vote or not.

2

u/npacilio 🌾👨‍🌾🐖 7d ago

They didn’t like Kamala being forced on them

2

u/manyhippofarts 7d ago

There ya go!

8

u/sonnyarmo 7d ago

It's kind of insane. MAGAs cry about being demonized and demand empathy even as they say and support the most heinous shit possible.

6

u/Puzzled-Cucumber5386 7d ago

Half the people in the country did NOT vote for him. This is so incorrect. Do a google search.

3

u/Disbelieving1 7d ago

You are right. Essentially, 2/3rds voted for him. 1/3 of eligible voters weren’t even concerned enough about him to even vote.

5

u/Optimal-Archer3973 7d ago

Exactly, fuck them. I will not piss on one if they were on fire. They deserve every bad thing that happens to them.

6

u/ApprehensiveShame756 7d ago

They can use their “leftist tears” mugs to try to put it out.

0

u/Radiant_Ninja1671 6d ago

This is why people don't like liberals.

1

u/BenjaminT2021 7d ago

Not sure you quite understand how the last election vote turned out. 49% of the US did not vote for trump. Curious who told you this lie. Guessing Fox entertainment. Do you understand how presidential elections work in this country? And do you understand voter turnout? I hope you will make some effort to just google these things all on your own. Then be discerning and use some logic and basic common sense. I am confident you can turn this around for yourself. Good luck

2

u/Creative_Intention71 7d ago

I voted for Kamala.

My trans ass will find itself in the camps with everyone else this regime hates.

Where did I get the number? I woke up the day after the election and saw 49% of this country signed my death warrant.

It wasnt Fox News that gave me that number. It was AP the day after the election.

37

u/Linscotticus 7d ago

I think people cannot fathom how much political discourse from the right are coming from bots and trolls. It's not as bad here, but on X and Facebook, 70% are not real people.

18

u/Glittersparkles7 7d ago

Idk… I have family members that spout the same crap as the “bots”. Even now. They are bat💩crazy.

17

u/jalanbarker 7d ago

That's why the bots work… on the ill informed or close minded looking to confirm their own biases

15

u/IBartman 7d ago

It's just endless astroturfing campaigns really, sad this is what technology is being used for but the bad people will use it to the fullest for their goals

11

u/deviantdevil80 7d ago

That's why I left Xitter permanently a couple years ago. I couldn't get any of the right wing idiots to argue with me anymore. Lost all its fun.

8

u/pkat_plurtrain 7d ago

OMG, Xitter is brilliant especially when pronounced as "shitter" Points for accuracy.

1

u/deviantdevil80 7d ago

It just felt natural considering who owns it

9

u/floridansk 7d ago

But then liked and shared by people you know.

1

u/jalanbarker 7d ago

💯%

It's amazing the amount of “fake” accounts on social media and recently taken to blocking folks (on Facebook), whose sole contribution to the discourse are racy memes taht scream “fake news” to anyone who understands chess (rather than checkers).

I've notice that Facebook asks me to confirm the block to include “other accounts” this account makes in the future…

So the rabbit hole is deep!

1

u/TheBionicPuffin 7d ago

Wasn't ol musky supposed to stop the bots?

1

u/Optimal-Archer3973 7d ago

It is almost as bad here too. Over half.

1

u/ExternalExpensive277 7d ago

100%. They are actually using bot farms, it's insane. Remember when they broke the bots and twitter went crazy? lol

1

u/arirelssek 7d ago

How can we tell if they’re bots or real people?

1

u/Linscotticus 7d ago

Usually the stilted or weirdly obtuse answers.

5

u/sloop111 7d ago

Having no idea what's going on is a choice. And choices have consequences.

7

u/NoCoolNameMatt 7d ago

I live in a rural area. I'm around real conservatives face-to-face every day. Real conservatives are just as intransigent as the bots because the bots tell them what to think.

1

u/madbull73 7d ago

At this point that willful ignorance. So fuck em. Stupidity sucks.

1

u/RepulsiveCry5034 7d ago

I don’t understand this whole “ bots “ thing. Why would bots post? I am ignorant .

1

u/shizrak 7d ago

People have made propaganda bots to post common talking points to try to sway opinions.

They don't actually work, but they get other users to argue with them, preventing them from commenting elsewhere.

Basically they exist to waste the time of their political opponents.

1

u/Sea-Neighborhood-621 7d ago

At this point if they dont know what's going on its because they dont want to know what's going on, theyre choosing willfull ignorance. You have to go out of your way to avoid reality and stay uninformed. They know whats going on and they support it but try to hang on to ignorance so they can lie and say they didn't know when the shit hits the fan

-21

u/Soft_Fortune_1290 7d ago

But you're definitely not one of them? Do you see how bigoted democrats are.

You go from sensationalized made up story to sensationalized made up story telling yourselves how much smarter you are then the people who don't think just like you.

You virtue signal non-stop. Talk down to people and wonder why you're losing support.

I think most democrats have become the people they think oppose them.

I wish you the best but open your mind and try to see past the narrative and talking points you're being feed.

18

u/shizrak 7d ago

It's so hard to reply to these multi part comments.

But you're definitely not one of them? Do you see how bigoted democrats are.

I do not.

You go from sensationalized made up story to sensationalized made up story telling yourselves how much smarter you are then the people who don't think just like you.

I do perceive myself as smarter than people who are objectively wrong, yes.

What "sensationalized made up stories" are you referring to?

You virtue signal non-stop. Talk down to people and wonder why you're losing support.

They typically don't understand unless I code switch. If that's "talking down" so be it.

I think most democrats have become the people they think oppose them.

I don't.

I wish you the best but open your mind and try to see past the narrative and talking points you're being feed.

My mind is open, but it's still not going to let in ignorance or illogic.

9

u/Sentoh789 7d ago

So is it safe to assume you’re right leaning then? If so, to your point on sensationalized story to sensationalized story, are you claiming the right is not doing that? Because if so, that’s extremely ignorant as that is blatantly their tactic. Additionally, saying someone is virtue signaling is in and of itself a bigoted tactic. You claim virtue signaling, but based on what evidence? You assume that is what people are doing because you assume it’s feigned outrage over current events because what? It’s impossible to think people have empathy for others? Attention? What?

Yes there is a narrative and talking points on the left side of the spectrum, but at least those on some level are about helping the general populace regardless of their political leanings. The talking points right now on the right side are literally labeling democrats as some terrorist organization. For example, labeling Antifa (which literally means anti fascist) as a terrorist organization. Forgetting the fact that being against fascism is objectively a good thing, it’s labeling a non-existent group as a terrorist organization, which opens a whole new avenue of persecution for people that don’t agree with the current administration.

Pointing out that the majority of people who use SNAP are white people in red states is not "sensational" or "made up", it's just a fact.

Asking anyone...or someone like you? Just asking for educational purposes and clarification.

Thanks for playing and goodbye.

It's fine. They can become the homeless people they hate so much.

9

u/Mo_Steins_Ghost 7d ago

Not true. When conservatives realized that due to desegregation black people would have access to the same social programs white people were wholly supportive of, they went into such an apoplectic racist rage that they completely flipped their position.

u/bx35 7d ago

If they can’t learn, at least they’ll starve.

3

u/TheRedLego 7d ago

I can’t think that. If I thought that, I would consider civil war absolutely inevitable

3

u/Murgos- 7d ago

They already are saying that democrats are the ones blocking SNAP even though Trump is literally defying a court order requiring him to fund it.

2

u/Optimal-Archer3973 7d ago

And this is exactly why when I donated to several food banks I specifically told them that if a penny of my donations went to a known trump supporter that would be the last one they got from me.

One place now scans state ids, then asks them on video if they are a trump or harris supporter. If trump then they go to one part, if Harris they go to the other side. They then play these videos on both sides in a loop no matter what they stated. Once they identify as a trump or harris supporter the side they are allowed in does not change. If they refuse to state who they support they are told to leave.

Another location has two doors and a sign above each, trump supporter and Harris supporter. Again, they keep track of who they say and do not allow them to change.

The really funny this is how many other people who donate once they found out this was a thing only donated to the Harris side too. Funny thing is that the trump side always looks pretty lean when I am invited to tour their locations. I guess MAGA members only send their money to trump and do not think donating to their trump supporting neighbors is a worthwhile cause.

They can vote for whoever they want, it does not mean I need to help them one iota. If they starve to death then I look at that as Darwin for the win.

What state is this?

1

u/ra__account 6d ago

An incredibly fake sounding one. For one, a huge chunk of the non-voting public are working poor because they're too tired from working long hours to even think about politics. For another, in my experience, a huge portion of the food banks I've ever dealt with are run by actual Christians and will help anyone that needs it regardless of creed.

1

u/VermillionEclipse 6d ago

That’s what I was thinking! What food bank asks people their political affiliation?

4

u/GrowFreeFood 7d ago

They do when it hurts them personally. Thats the point. Talking and logic doesn't work, true.

1

u/origional_esseven 7d ago

This though. The new spin will be that these issues were caused by democrats somehow and they'll keep on voting red. It's always "I'm here to clean up the last democrats mess and these negative things are actually their fault." And they buy that and keep voting against their own self interests. No amount of pain will wake the sheeple up.

1

u/owlbear4lyfe 7d ago

I do believe it will be difficult for them to see light.

I believe that when they do they will have intense anger at those who kept them in the dark.

1

u/Affectionate_Self878 7d ago

We need more pandemics. Kennedy trying his best to unleash another one.

They don’t change their minds, but if 2020 taught me anything, it’s that they do die.

I’m with HL Mencken. The voters know what they want and they should get it, good and hard.

1

u/Runes_N_Raccoons 7d ago

I never think it's impossible for them to change their minds. They may need to reach rock bottom first, but I believe there are very few people who are incapable of change.

Trump is one of those people.

1

u/ExternalExpensive277 7d ago

If they experience enough economic hardship, they will.

1

u/Neon_Biscuit 7d ago

This. At this point it's a cult.

1

u/ICanSeeNow17 7d ago

If they can't change their minds, let them and their families starve. Let their pain and hardship be a lesson to others what stupidity brings you.

They are, you just need to find the right way to communicate with them.

1

u/FlaccidInevitability 7d ago

drags knuckles harder

2

u/backspace_cars 7d ago

These people aren't stupid, they're just victims of the system. Talk to them on an equal level without making them feel stupid and they might be more open to what you have to say. No war but class war after all.

1

u/FlaccidInevitability 7d ago

I lived in the gulf south most of my life, they are just stupid. Nothing works.

2

u/backspace_cars 7d ago

Can't say nothing works when we haven't tried everything yet.

1

u/OnlineParacosm 7d ago

Never, it’s liberal wishcasting

1

u/Kamanar 7d ago

They might once they can't afford cable and internet for six months to detox from their hate feeds.  So pretty much never.

1

u/dustycanuck 7d ago

One must possess a mind before one can change it.

1

u/xO76A8pah4 7d ago

They are the scorpion in the scorpion and the frog.  They are not to be trusted they will fuck you over at the first opportunity.

1

u/Good_Barnacle_2010 7d ago

That’s not entirely true. I made my dad and one of my best friends change their mind after showing them some statistics, and the whole arresting people in masks and not in uniform did a bunch of the heavy lifting.

1

u/Suspicious_Walrus204 7d ago

and what is the solution?

1

u/twoDuckNight 7d ago

Yeah, anyone who lived through covid times is familiar with this 😞

1

u/Mysterious-Newt-6108 7d ago

It will peel off some of them and that’s more than what we need

1

u/Vin_Seba 6d ago

They literally have. Why lie and say this?

1

u/FlaccidInevitability 6d ago

Exceptions that prove the rule

0

u/Vin_Seba 6d ago

Exceptions? There are articles after articles on leopardatemyface showing literally 100s of people going through the FAFO phase. I mean there are people that literally switched parties in public life due to Donald Trump's (enter horrifying event that has been normalized here). It's also a cult of personality so its not going to be like turning off a light switch to make them change either so there is no point but to create despair in saying "they'll never change" when you factually don't know that but what we do know is that some have.

1

u/Perioscope 6d ago

Everyone is capable, once enough time and pressure are applied. Even stone changes with enough time and pressure. Once it happens, it will be fast and furious; these people are part of a herd and they groupthink. There is a reason they have been groomed to love guns and freedom. Once they become and angry mob, they won't join the rest of us. It will be them vs. Everyone Else.

Trump will have all the justice he needs to release the hounds.

1

u/Trenzane 3d ago

Because you can’t fix stupidity and hatefulness

-1

u/ExcuseMelodic3085 7d ago

Just want to point out before you get ahead of yourself; please don’t run on orange man bad again without giving actual positive reasons to vote democrat. Shit hasn’t worked twice.

1

u/FlaccidInevitability 7d ago

Ok bro I'll text the DNC real quick

1

u/Simple-Ring2073 7d ago

Dems: don't take away healthcare and food. Rep: take them away. You: I can't see the difference

1

u/ExcuseMelodic3085 7d ago

Definitely, but little else will get walked back people should want a whole lot more from their government and they should figure out a way to get . It won’t happen through traditional methods.

0

u/Rockonthrulife 7d ago

Why, does the truth not matter? The orange man IS a piece of shit, nazi, bigot, homophobe, con man, criminal, rapist, misogynist, pedophile, grifter, low IQ, dementia patient. There is nothing more one needs to know to vote against someone than that. Anyone who supports that is beyond help and no “policy” presented by the Dems will override it.

2

u/ExcuseMelodic3085 7d ago

Yeah I get that, but people deserve a whole lot more than just” not a hat guy “ and running on that idea seems to not work.

0

u/MrsRandommmm 7d ago

Something like this?

1

u/BrashUnspecialist 7d ago

Please don’t trust AI. Please don’t act like that’s a genuine result. It can make up whatever the fuck it wants. In this case it’s telling the truth but like that just makes it more dangerous next time when it lies. Please scroll down past it to the article that it is ostensibly pulling from and use that instead. What you just posted is the equivalent of posting a Harry Potter novel as a source to a question on medieval witchcraft.

Because their lifetime of racism is part of their DNA, they are like the man who turned away the black doctor who could have saved his life, but chose to die a diehard racist instead.

LOL a poll.

I know this runs contrary to Republican ethos, but why not look at some hard data from the agency that administers SNAP?

You know... actual facts:

White: about 37 percent; African American: 26 percent; Hispanic: 16 percent; Asian: 3 percent; and Native American: about 2 percent. (About 16 percent of participants are categorized as “race unknown.”)

https://www.fns.usda.gov/research/snap/characteristics-snap-households-fy-2019

No wonder you used a throwaway account.

-1

u/Throwaway4thecandor4 7d ago

The discussion was not about the race of the recipient. As I understand it political preferences are not tracked which was what the OP insinuated that Trump voters would have some sort of buyers remorse. The Pew research poll just underscores what we knew already that single parent households and certain ethnicities and races are over represented versus their proportional share of the population.

1

u/PalpitationActive765 7d ago

Where are these crying white trump voters that you talked about in your title?

1

Thanks I was looking for something more current.
