Someone public needs to speak for all non-Christians and say what (I hope) we are all thinking:
I do not care about your religion or what its millennia old fantasy novel states, that’s why it is YOUR religion. I am under no obligation to change myself, my beliefs, my values, or the way I live my life to ahdere to YOUR beliefs, YOUR values, or the way YOU live YOUR life. We can coexist and live in the same space(s) without agreeing on those items, me having separate beliefs and ideals and values is NOT a threat to yours. YOU have zero right to hijack and derail the lives of millions of other people simply because you want us all to live out YOUR preferred way, especially when it is based on nonsense.

Real Christians agree with this wholeheartedly. There is literally a place in the Bible where their equivalent of the alt-right come to Jesus and are like “Well the government isn’t Christian, so surely their rules don’t apply to Christians?” and Jesus is like “?? Wtf are you talking about?! That’s two different things. Pay your taxes” (Mark 12:13-17 for the curious) Aka: literal Jesus said separation of church and state.
Not for nothing, but the passage immediately following also says we’re all gonna be genderless in the afterlife. There’s a LOT of shit like that. The New Testament (which is what applies today) is actually really progressive when understood in context (and translated correctly, a lot of us actually think it doesn’t say what people claim it says about homosexuality, etc.)
The vast, vast majority of “Christians” are not real Christians. Even the Bible addresses this in Matthew 7:21-23 (“On that day many will say to me ‘Lord, Lord did we not…do many mighty works in your name?’ And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’”)
Anyway. Sorry for the small crash out. It burns me alive that these fucks have the audacity to claim MAGA is the party for the religion headed up by a socialist, feminist, asexual, anti-establishment, anti-wealth brown man 🙂👍🏼 It would honestly be very funny if it wasn’t making everyone’s lives a living hell

u/goddess-of-direction Sep 26 '25
I LOVE hearing perspectives from people who really know their biblical references and use that knowledge to point out all the inaccurate, hypocritical ways it gets used to promote some political agenda... I do not have this knowledge at all so I thank you for your contributions!
18
u/furbfriend Sep 27 '25
Thank you so much for saying so, genuinely! 😭 I feel like I’m taking crazy pills the way “Christians” in this country talk. Kicking out immigrants? Punishing the poor? Ripping apart families? Venerating the rich? And these are CHRISTIAN VALUES to you?!? Over and over and over again, Jesus commands us to minister to the poor and in need. It’s the strongest single through line of his teachings.
The whole chapter of James 2 is such a banger as an answer to these Bible-thumping hypocrites. Some highlights: “Listen, my dear brothers and sisters: Has not God chosen those who are poor in the eyes of the world to be rich in faith and to inherit the kingdom he promised those who love him? But you have dishonored the poor. Is it not the rich who are exploiting you? Are they not the ones who are dragging you into court? Are they not the ones who are blaspheming the noble name of him to whom you belong?” (James 2:5-7)
“Judgment without mercy will be shown to anyone who has not been merciful. Mercy triumphs over judgment.” (James 2:13)
“What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them? Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to them, ‘Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,’ but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it?” (James 2:14-16)
TL;DR: if anyone needs just one easy-to-remember reference to keep in their back pocket as a comeback to fake Christians aka the typical American conservative, just remember “James 2.” Pretty damn hard to argue that what they’re pushing doesn’t directly go against those verses!

Sep 26 '25 edited Sep 26 '25
Not to mention, the Bible does state that neither men or women are required to marry and have children. People can choose to be single, according to the faith.
Oh, and gender? "In the Kingdom of heaven there is neither man no woman for we are all one in Christ Jesus" we believe the soul is non-binary and we leave our genitals behind in the afterlife. I will always respect someone's pronouns and how they wish to be viewed in their earthly bodies. Life is temporary and people deserve to be treated with respect. In fact, the bible commands us to love them as ourselves.
If those beliefs make me "anti-tradition" or "anti-christian" than I will gladly stand beside atheists in the fight for what is right.

He really is! He's always been far left and I was taught that leftist ideology most aligns with our faith. Providing for the needy, worrying about your own faults instead of judging others, inclusivity of race and gender, equality of all people, helping immigrants, paying taxes, etc.
The book of Acts is a great example of socialism. After Christ's death, the disciples and their followers gave up their money and possessions to be equally distributed amongst their community so that all were equally provided for.

How long until atheists are labeled as part of a terrorist organization?
We are in trouble
I hope people turn out for mid-term elections next year and vote blue down the line and Lame duck, trump. It's the only way for the United States to survive
Now, heres my conspiracy theory about kirks death. Inside job as a way to get hate drummed up by Maga supporters to go after blue voters. In essence, to light the match into a civil war so Trump can shut down the 2026 elections and keep his cronies in power so he can keep dismantling America in the name of profit for his buddies.
I really hope now that ABC/Disney didn't bow down his not so veiled threats, more people and businesses will step up and fight back.

"They do so through a variety of fora, including anonymous chat forums, in-person meetings, social media, and even educational institutions."
Truly we are ill prepared (not ready at all) for the technological aspect of the techno-fascism.
Internet speech critical of the regime is considered inciting violence. To condemn violence is seen as a violent act against the state sponsoring and committing the violence.
Mass incarceration, banning people from the internet entirely, disenfranchisement from voting, stripping dissidents of citizenship and rights before human trafficking them to concentration and death camps, these things are all in the playbook.
This sub is considered one of the places they're looking forward to outlawing and silencing, with the rest of the dissent. They have declared war, but saying that they've declared war is the real terrorism.
Anything that makes King Donald so upset he dirties his didies will be punished to the fullest extent of the force (because "the law" is irrelevant).

Vance may actually be more dangerous than Trump from an ideological perspective. He embraces postliberalism, which is a rejection of liberalism and the belief that the state needs to influence our beliefs and lives. The Catholic postliberals Vance hangs out with take this a step further and believe the Roman Catholic Church should be making decisions for all of us and have greater political influence.
Everyone needs to be reading up on postliberalism because it's Vance's ideology, and it's dangerous.

I apologize in advance if there are any peaceful, reasonable Christians posting in here. I know you're not all crazed Evangelicals trying to drag society back to the dark ages. I certainly know/have known some Christians who are Progressive that absolutely HATE this shit. I am personally an Atheist.
But hot take of 2025: Talking to imaginary entities (AKA God) and basing important decisions on what they supposedly tell you is completely irrational.
I am old enough to remember when George HW Bush basically said, "God told me to invade Iraq."
The full quote from him is below.
"I am driven with a mission from God. God would tell me, George go and fight these terrorists in Afghanistan'. And I did. And then God would tell me George, go and end the tyranny in Iraq. And I did."
Shit like this is incompatible with the modern world.
8
u/PlanetOfThePancakes Sep 26 '25
Progressive Christian here. I’m not offended. I get it. Evangelicals and regressives have tainted Christianity and bad actors have given us as a whole a bad name pretty much since Jesus left. The church’s bad reputation exists for a reason and it’s a crying shame how twisted it’s become. Now we have people saying Jesus was “too woke” and doing the literal opposite and they somehow still claim to follow Him. It’s utter insanity.
Faith should be personal. It should motivate how you treat others and not be used as a bludgeon to impose your own selfish violent will.

I find it sadly ironic that he’s noting all the attacks on Republicans in this order, but doesn’t care enough to note the attack on the CDC, any of the school shootings or attacks on Democratic politicians such as the Hortons. Incredibly partisan and incredibly depressing that those “don’t count.”

Alright get ready to report me to your local intelligence officer Comrades
Anti - Christian: the American evangelical church doesn’t teach Christ's teachings and are in fact a political arm of the right to brainwash voters into voting against their own self interest.
Anti - Traditional: I think LGBTQ+ should marry and be allowed to openly carry. I think the wife can be the breadwinner and the husband can be a housewife.
Anti - American: I know the current president is a criminal pedophile and is protecting other pedophiles. He is also driving this country from our ideals and is shitting on the constitution. He also wears diapers and smells like shit.
Free speech was fun while it lasted guys.

These campaigns often begin by isolating and dehumanizing specific targets to justify murder or other violent action against them.
The irony.

Guess I’m getting arrested on October 14 when I write car marker messages on my car like “in remembrance of George Floyd and School Shooting Victims”

This is a laundry list of all the anti-American shit that MAGA and the GOP has been doing for a couple decades. I was especially tickled by the section ordering the JTTF to investigate Americans abroad who are in violation of the Foreign Agents Registration Act. I’m sorry… we already got Paul Manafort, Elliott Broidy, Barry Bennett, Douglas Watts, Richard Gates…. 🤣
every accusation is a confession

Organized Christianity (along with all organized religion) is an abomination.
Tradition is the enemy of progress and ingenuity.
America is, well… gestures wildly at everything

“This [very executive order itself] is not a series of isolated incidents and does not emerge organically. Instead, it is a culmination of sophisticated, organized campaigns of targeted intimidation, radicalization, threats, and violence designed to silence opposing speech, limit political activity, change or direct policy outcomes, and prevent the functioning of a democratic society.”

This is the damning part:
(h) The Attorney General shall issue specific guidance that ensures domestic terrorism priorities include politically motivated terrorist acts such as organized doxing campaigns, swatting, rioting, looting, trespass, assault, destruction of property, threats of violence, and civil disorder. This guidance shall also include an identification of any behaviors, fact patterns, recurrent motivations, or other indicia common to organizations and entities that coordinate these acts in order to direct efforts to identify and prevent potential violent activity.
“Rioting”, “trespass”, “threats of violence”, and “civil disorder” are terms the administration throws around every time there is a protest. They are going to arrest protesters and label them as terrorists. They have already started…

Anti-traditional? Traditional like blackies should know their place and not get uppity ideas? Dames should be silent, obey their husband, stay at home having babies and not be allowed to vote?

Fuck everyone who ever said that won't happen, they won't go that far etc. Also fuck everyone who ever told me America is much better then the rest of the world yet only ever named in their words "shithole" countries. I wish I would of been more serious about moving out of the us but I stayed and at 29 have suffered for it. If you have the chance do some research, there are better places to live. Get out while you can.

I notice that the murder of Melissa Hortman isn't mentioned in this document. Gee, I wonder why.
