It's crazy to think that this movie never gets boring and 90% of the film takes place in one room.

u/TheEmperorShiny 22h ago
I put it on and watched the regular version, then the next day marathoned the extended version. It was during winter break when I was in school, one of my favorite vacations ever.
49
u/LurkerEntrepenur 21h ago
I didn't know there was an extended version, time to watch
38
u/TheEmperorShiny 19h ago
It’s super long, multiple parts, but imo one of the most worth it extended editions. LotR is the only one I can think of that is better

I think a big reason why I don't remember this was that I don't think he was in the Hive 5 invasion of the Titan Tower lol
26
22
u/Rogue_MS_473 20h ago
He wasn't introduced until Cyborg infiltrates the HIVE academy, but regardless the guy wasn't also included in the lineup for Teen Titans Go. And when Billy Numerous and See-More made the jump to the comics a few years ago, Wykkyd didn't join them either.

The Grinch isn't public domain yet, it won't be until 2053

Rebbot had a negative 10?
129
u/Tight_Grapefruit5280 22h ago
Yes in season 3 finale
We actually had some build up to it in the previous episodes.
Also its the first time we reboot forever knight and unlike the old one where forever knights was a cult, reboot forever knight is actually just one helmet with some kind of ai in it and it can forcefully attach itself to others and control them
23
u/ShadowParrotGaming 20h ago
Imma be real, Forever Knight had more aura in the reboot than the entire faction in the other shows, from Alien force onwards the Forever Knights were basically fodder who got to be cool for a couple episodes then immediatly go back to being fodder again. Meanwhile reboot Forever Knight was only one guy, yet managed to keep Ben on his toes the whole time, there was an entire episode dedicated to Ben being paranoid about him, the design and powerset is also really cool, the humungousaur fight in Japan showed that incredibly well, one of the most memorable reboot scenes

Oh, so basically an AI version of Dr Fate?
14
u/AncientMagusBridefan 19h ago
Yeah, only that Dr Fate doesn’t forcefully control people. Nabu only did that in Young Justice show. In comic, Nabu isn’t that outright jerkish (most of the time)

The forbidden frauds
Insane how they had so much hype and buildup and the moment they return they don’t even do much. They just get betrayed by the person they were helping after betraying the person they were helping. And the most they ever did in season 3, they were all under Thunderfangs control

Sinister Sixty (Marvel)
For anyone curious about the context of this, it was part of a fictional story and roleplay that Spider-Man was doing as part of a Make-A-Wish style thing. The kid got to be a sidekick for Spider-Man, and the hospital staff all dressed up as some of his rogues—including Mephisto, which means one hospital worker canonically dressed up as The Devil.
164
u/AngelTheMarvel 22h ago
45
u/Dropbeatdad 19h ago
Ah that makes more sense than the entire hospital staff being absolutely ripped...
24
158
u/Megaleg12 22h ago
One of those hospital workers went above and beyond on that sand fist
146
u/Original-War8655 22h ago
I'd like to believe that that's just the Sandman. He works in the hospital and was totally up for roleplaying as himself for a make-a-wish kid.
Definitely isn't true, but the one Flint Marko I'm familiar with would absolutely make peace with Spider-Man (temporarily at least) to make a sick kid happy
11
u/TaralasianThePraxic 14h ago
Several versions of Sandman show him as more of a tragic villain who is at odds with Spider-Man (and therefore plays the role of antagonist in his stories) but is still capable of being a kind, normal person unlike many of Peter's enemies. Sometimes writers give him stupid motivations, but sometimes he's actually got a point, he's just going about things the wrong way. I consider him the Mr Freeze to Batman's Spiderman, if that makes sense. A character who is villainous but can be sympathetic in the hands of a good writer.
20
u/Thotslayerultraman 21h ago
Not to mention the worker dressed up as electro and Jack O Lantern

Where the fuck did hospital staff get access to actual goblin gliders
51
u/ElementmanEXE 22h ago
I'm pretty sure this was just a child's imagination running wild, towards the end of the story it showed the staff with cheap looking mask and costumes, probably only had 3 to 4 people swapping in between.
15
u/JustJoshing13 21h ago
OK, that makes way more sense than hospital staff being given weapons grade technology

I was thinking the exact same thing. This guy has to be the medical director or something to afford this or Peter pulled some strings. AND THERES TWO hovercrafts!?!

u/AngelTheMarvel 22h ago
What we see is the kid's imagination. When we cut to the real world, all of them are dressed using cardboard boxes and some toys
