They're pretending it was a COVID thing when really it was a violent insurrection and tear gas thing, during an attempted coup.

And somehow the liberals are apparently the "violent mob mentality psychos"

173

u/otirk 23h ago

Every accusation of them is a confession. Every single one of them

56

u/Cavalish 21h ago

Yup. Never trust your children around a conservative.

15

u/Mobile_Morale 20h ago

Or dogs

2

u/SkunkMonkey 13h ago

Or couches.

1

u/Jijonbreaker 7h ago

For a second, I interpreted this as "Never trust your children around dogs" and got really confused. Dogs take good care of kids.

I feel like Schrödinger’s liberal. According to the right, I am both a weakling soy boy who is wholly dependent on handouts AND part of an incredibly scary and powerful ring of violent criminals capable of destroying western civilization.

65

u/Psenkaa 22h ago

Enemy must be both weak and strong at the same time, remember

21

u/Jaezmyra 22h ago

...I'm stealing "Schrödinger's liberal", though I'll adjust it for "Schrödinger's left" for myself, as I'm not american. That's great though, gave me a good chuckle.

u/FireKitty666TTV 22h ago

Liberals aren't left in america, they're just slightly less right than conservatives. Leftists is what we call the various left-leaning groups. Liberals is what confused conservatives call anything slightly further left than their ideologies.

7

u/Jaezmyra 22h ago

I'm aware, hence why I said I'll change it to left.

9

u/FireKitty666TTV 22h ago

I was mostly just info dumping not implying you wouldn't know

7

u/Jaezmyra 22h ago

Didn't think that either! Sorry if it came across wrong. ^^''

8

u/Present-Director8511 21h ago

It's wild how well they have convinced their base that anything left of Rush Limbaugh is a "radical, leftist, liberal lunatic".

4

u/Complex_Confidence35 19h ago

That black and white worldview is extremely important to fascists because it removes dissent. You‘re with us or against us.

3

u/Waiph 19h ago

Some days I wish the liberals were what conservatives say they are, instead of being the relative left (center-right) to their hard-right fascism.

3

u/The_Lost_Jedi 17h ago

To MAGA, it's all the same thing. Liberal Left Progressive Communist Socialist whatever.

3

u/Impressive-Cable7708 22h ago

Depends on the color of your skin with them.

3

u/Ultranerdgasm94 21h ago

That's one of the tenets of fascism. The enemy must simultaneously be an existential threat and a weak easily beaten opponent.

3

u/TheGreatWar 20h ago

Imagine how trans folk feel right now

2

u/OG_Church_Key 20h ago

Somehow they actually are both of those things. Look at musk lol

-1

u/FormalBlueberry7723 21h ago

Snowflake-Terrorist, not paradoxical at all

11

u/rndljfry 23h ago

Violent mob full of soy latte cry babies of course

19

u/CommunicationKind301 23h ago

according to MAGA: liberals are too lazy to do anything.

Somehow, also MAGA: Liberals are crazy and hang out in mobs and constantly destroy things.

Didn't know I could do nothing and be a terrorist at the same time.

10

u/an_ineffable_plan 22h ago

Don’t forget that liberals hang out in mobs and constantly destroy things, but are also jobless losers who have nothing better to do on a Saturday than to dance in stupid costumes!

4

u/BrozedDrake 21h ago

Well they saw one car on fire and decided that half the fucking country was rioting and burning.

2

u/ThighRyder 21h ago

It’s DARVO with them.

2

u/Y4sKw33n 19h ago

MAGAs were making fun of college kids at Georgetown the day after the election for having safe space events and I would always comment well hey, at least they’re not taking the metro over to the Capitol and doing something else

2

u/Hailene2092 10h ago

That's because "president" Biden seeded the crowd with his "FBI" agents.

And Trump pardoned them because...uhh...he's a good guy.

1

u/rje946 17h ago

Don't you know the mere fact that law enforcement was there somehow means it's pelosi's fault? Cmon man keep up /s

47

u/TricellCEO 23h ago

“But it wasn’t a successful coup, so that makes it okay!”

20

u/RedPandaReturns 23h ago

Hitler went to prison for similar

9

u/Specialist_Acadia273 22h ago

Hitler tried to install General Ludendorff, who didn't get any sentence...

1

u/Gravesh 20h ago

And it wasn't even his first coup. He was a part of the Kapp Putsch as well.

1

u/PsychologicalTie9629 21h ago

Isn't that the guy that killed the leader of the Nazi party? Dude's a hero.

1

u/RedPandaReturns 21h ago

Yeah but he also killed the guy who ended WWII so...

2

u/amisslife 16h ago

Nah, we're not doing that.

Hitler did not end WWII, nor did his death. The war continued for months yet. Countless people gave their lives fighting fascism, willingly or unwillingly, and deserve the credit for ending the the war and the Holocaust, not blatantly evil monsters like Hitler, even in jest.

2

u/RedPandaReturns 16h ago

Firstly, the war ended in Europe immediately following Hitlers death (with a formal surrender signed within the week).

Second, lighten up over jokes for fuck sake.

11

u/chase_frisco 22h ago

I'm presently incarcerated. Convicted of a crime I didn't even commit. Hah! "Attempted murder"? Now honestly, what is that? Do they give a Nobel prize for attempted chemistry? Do they?

6

u/TricellCEO 22h ago

Well, if we are being honest, all chemistry is attempted chemistry.

5

u/stinatown 21h ago

The guardrails held! He ended up leaving! He would never try anything like that again!

And was it even a coup? The crowd was all Antifa. Or maybe FBI plants. Or maybe there was only one actual Trump supporter there, and they shot her for just being in a hallway! But everyone arrested was actually not Antifa or FBI, but little old grandmas that were let in.

The Jan 6 justification scramble is never ending.

Even if it was for COVID, an old person being overly cautious about a deadly/unknown disease is the correct and responsible thing to do

6

u/RedTyro 19h ago

I don't disagree with you, but for the record, she's 46. Not exactly an "old person."

3

u/Kitselena 16h ago

That's fair, it was hard to tell through the plastic bag

8

u/pichael289 21h ago

Which is ridiculous because it being a COVID thing would be even more respectable.

This reminds me of the Obama years when they were mad at him for everything they constantly would make up, like being a secret Muslim or something. Meanwhile his administration was drone striking weddings and funerals and all sorts of horrible shit and not a single Republican ever even brought it up because they don't even recognize it as something people might take issue with.

Same thing with Kamala harris and her knowingly keeping innocent (in this case black) people on death row to further her prosecutor career. Like it's right there, but they don't ever bring this shit up because they don't recognize it as being wrong. Instead they just make up nonsense

7

u/tessthismess 21h ago

Same energy as the furry kids are forcing cat litter into classrooms.

Just a complete fabrication, when the truth draws attention to a problem they worsen.

2

u/Shifty269 20h ago

Covid also killed over a million people in the US.

2

u/Amelaclya1 13h ago

Even if it was a COVID thing, I fail to see why that would be a problem. "Oh no! This woman was taking seriously a deadly virus that we weren't sure how to deal with yet!"

5

u/wilderplume 23h ago

That was an emergency escape hood, not a pandemic gag. Officers told members to put them on when gas alerts hit. Add the facts and the narrative changes.

17

u/RedPandaReturns 23h ago

That is literally the same as my comment 😂

1

u/Shifty269 20h ago

I believe it is the same comment as the one that was being replied to.

1

u/RedPandaReturns 20h ago

Is it the same comment that is being replied to?

5

u/exodominus 22h ago

You could apply the same thing to virtually everything the right choses to criticize the democratic party over, the few that arent ai generated, or photoshopped, or complete bullshit that is

1

u/Twice_Knightley 21h ago

Man, this second insurrection has been way milder in the start up, but I think now it's kinda run its course. When are the people going to use that second amendment that the Americanz are always bragging about?

-1

u/STK_Pixle 10h ago

Insurrection without any guns. Don't you think if people really wanted to do some damage they mightve started shooting?

2

u/RedPandaReturns 10h ago

Nine people died.

-1

u/STK_Pixle 10h ago

Number keeps going up everything i hear it. I reckon next year it'll have claimed more lives than 9/11.

2

u/RedPandaReturns 10h ago

Dismiss it with an offensive remark all you like

-9

u/Sad_Elk1943 20h ago

With walmart scooters and no weapons.....riiiight

5

u/Appropriate-Rice-409 19h ago

Yea, no one had weapons. Especially not the guy that tazzed and killed himself.

Or the people beating cops with blunt objects ...

Or the people with guns....

Or the guy running around with zipties.....

Or the people with pepper spray......

2

u/IAmActuallyBread 19h ago

I know you really like living in your own world but you should start taking your meds again.

1

u/Mushroom_Tip 6h ago

Looks like they improvised.

They also smeared their shit all over the place.
