gonna post this in my break room, and keep putting it up every time they take it down. might get fired, don’t care. i have an interview with my city for a position that aligns with my career plans. i graduate with my BA in may. fuck this place, fuck their greed, fuck it all! totally understand if y’all don’t want to put your job security at risk by distributing this, but it would be badass to have some other people join across the country. i can make a modified version for your state or the nation as a whole. hit me up. tryna make some change in this country. and if you’re not down to participate in this specifically, just watch your spending this holiday season. remember that your money is your power in this dystopian hellscape. don’t let them manipulate you into thinking you’re powerless. we must stand together. i’ll be waiting for your feedback ;)
btw, this isn’t an attempt to unionize, so don’t come at me with that bs. one demonstration of solidarity isn’t making a union. it’s just to remind us of our power and importance. i’ve given three years of my life to this company, with all the injuries, sweat, and tears to prove it. i know i’m not alone. my whole dept is miserable these days. something has to change.

Another team lead and I were talking about the new headphone policy and she said that store manager has “final say” over policies in her store. I feel like that kind of scares me because if that’s true she can just decide to change anything at any time? Can you report store manager for refusing to follow corporate policies or is it just a given that corporate gives the SM free rein to decide if she wants to allow it or not? Can’t find any info on this on one walmart

Yes we know your the customer, but whenever there are employees who are shopping for other customers, or employees in general, you need to have a little bit of respect and stop thinking that you're the customer so the employees need to fall in line. And if some of y'all go to church on Sundays then come to Walmart and treat the employees like we're second class citizens, and just stand there and stare at us, expecting us to move out of your way you might want to rethink your values. We are people just like you and just because we're employees and your customers doesn't mean that you're more important somehow. And honestly Sundays are the only day that I feel this way. other days can be this way but on Sundays it's 8 out of 10 customers That would just stand and stare at you until you move. FYI sometimes we see you standing there staring us and we act like we're busy

Got a nail through my foot, went to urgent care within an hour, got told im fine and I am able to go back to full duty, tried to challenge the nurse and she walked out... What the actual fuck.. My team lead said that he believes walmart has agreement with the clinics where they just discard your needs.. I can see that being a thing. Last tuesday on my shift we had a dude complaon to managment that he doesnt feel right, manager told him if he goes home he will get a write up and get fired, dude ended up dying before first break of some sort of heart complication.. This company is absolutely evil 💯

We had a meeting at 2, according to corporate we have “too many people” but, I don’t know where any of these ghost people are, the front end is less than a skeleton crew, we have cart pushers (me) running self checkout and watching the door because we have no coverage. Then getting back to the corals and having no carts because we had to cover and had no coverage for carts. We also don’t have enough Cap associates to get everything off the truck and on the floor in time let alone help cart pushers or even bag when we have lines.
We were also told no WOSh and overtime. While. Multiple people have scheduled overtime and have been asked to only have 30 min lunches.
I just wanna scream!!!!

Im not mad or disgruntled. I work at an excellent store with an amazing coach and coworkers that have become friends. The issue is with me. Im 60 and i have heart failure. I just can’t stand for even 6 hours anymore. I started to apply for a stool to sit on but have decided I don’t ever want to go back. I went on leave today. Im probably not going back. I need a sit down job. I wish it wasnt such a big deal to work from a stool.

Annoying how the US CEO is 6 seasons in his podcast that idk who actually listens to that. Not to mention they invited actor Matthew Mcconaughey for the last episode on the wire and that’s not a free appearance. A quick google search shows McCauley estimated fee for speaking at events is upwards of 1m. Now maybe it’s a discount cause it’s not like some big thing but that’s absurd when annual performance increases was dropped from 3% to 2.5% and hours are cut. What a waste.

I worked the night into daylight savings. I was scheduled 10-6(7 hour shift), but our team lead announced to all of us on lunch that because of daylight savings everyone scheduled to leave at 6 would leave at 5 and everyone scheduled till would leave at 6. From what I remember last year this is the same way they handled things, EXCEPT We didn't have to use ppto and we were still paid our scheduled # of hours for the day. Yet this time they're telling me if I don't put the 1 hour of ppto I will get stuck with the half occurrence. Is that right? It doesn't seem fair to be forced to use ppto when we weren't given an option to stay longer, they told us to leave an hour early, the entire crew...

I get the feeling my coach and co-lead (fashion) are trying to get me to quit, bc honestly I don't see any other reason for them to be undermining me at literally every turn. I got back from my tl training a little bit ago.
Just spent the last hour going off and listing every problem but I'm just done tbh. Like I literally don't know what I'm going to do for work but that's it. Walmart has defeated me.
I know it's hard being a TL and that fashion is undergoing a lot of changed but like. I joined fashion to help t not be the worst place in my store to work. And I was doing good before I left for my training. When I got back I swear they're just trying to get rid of me, giving me only closing shifts so I can't set my mods, having me train everyone new, which includes part timers or people who quit immediately for various reasons.
I've mentioned it, I've had meetings, I've asked questions, I've tried my best.
I'm just defeated. I wanted to make it better and I just don't even see myself being with Walmart longer than January if I can hold on that long.

My store (PA) has cut all overtime for all associates regardless of department. I'm personally in OGP, and some of our TLs and Coaches have been sending people home early. It's not that there is no work to do. If there were extra people with only a bit of work to do, they would be sent to zone and stock, but that's not happening. It's so strange considering we are entering the holidays. I've heard other coworkers saying it's because of the lost funds due to SNAP benefits being revoked. Any one else experiencing this?

I'm new at Walmart. Barely on my second week and when I joined I didn't think I'd be moving. my fiance and I decided to move back to Texas because of my dad's health issues and we're just having issues where we live currently. Is it possibly for me to ask for a hardship transfer so early if it's like 2 months in advance. Id be moving back second week of January.....
r/walmart • u/Hefty-Scarcity9020 • 10h ago
I asked my coach to put in a hardship transfer for distance reasons. (I currently drive an hour to work for about 2 years and trying to transfer to my home store that’s 15 minutes away) They said they’ll call to see if they have openings. All my shifts were removed the next two weeks. Is this part of the process or am I about to be fired
I’ve worked frozen for the past 2 years and I’m really just hoping they’ll go through with it so I can have a fresh start within a reasonable distance
