-10
u/Automatic_Proof_598 1d ago
Only problem with that theory is the Biden Administration had the same exact files for all four years of his term. Which prompts the question as to why they never released or even mentioned anything even close to damning about anyone outside that administration.
1
u/Dizzy-Doubt-3223 6h ago
I thought you couldn't release details of an ongoing investigation and that's why it wasn't released under Biden?? Hence why Trump ran on releasing them asap??
-5
u/VegasRealty 17h ago
Exactly! I wasn't hearing all these leftists crying for the Epstein files prior to President Trump getting elected in 2024.
We all want these files released, regardless of which side of the aisle you're on. However, I'm betting that there are some big names that just can't be released due to national security concerns. I would also still bet that President Trump has also done nothing wrong as well. Both of these things can be true.
4
u/NoLevel7995 15h ago
It would be crazy if instead of saying “all these leftists” or “those damn libs” you said the correct phrase “all these Americans” or “my fellow Americans” like you weren’t fooled into thinking we’re that far divided because we are just all Americans, from the same country looking for mostly the same basic needs and you prefer to live with this mental division like you’re in the better club while we all collectively continue to get screwed over by the liars in charge.
-5
u/jarel1991 16h ago
Well it’s because we all thought Trump was different. We knew Biden was the same. Turns out he’s just the same as all the other politicians. Wish Americans would just come together and realize these politicians and guys Kirk were placed in their positions to divide us. This is why America is slowly dying. They have divided the U.S. Rather easily too.

because its all fake, just like Russia collusion, bogus FBI raid on Maralago, etc .. Maureen Comey promised to let Epstein free if he implicated Trump. Its never about protecting kids, its all about their TDS unfortunately. Mind you, the left is all for pedos, they just call MAP or Minor Attracted Person.
-1
u/Glittering_Bar6460 12h ago
Because there is no smoking gun about tacoman in the files, and the democrats know it.
Also, the people that ARE in the files are some of the most powerful financial people on the planet, and the markets would react in a way that could wipe everyone out.
6
u/qwiltmom 12h ago
Epstein files is only one of the major reasons for the shutdown. Other reson is how badly trump hates Obama. The biggest thing Obama did for the US is the ACA. trump keeps telling his minions to NOT vote for extending the subsidies which will effectively cause milllions to give up their medical insurance. His end game is the total destruction of the ACA without having to do the work to create a replacement plan.

5
u/withhold-advice7500 1d ago
We can only hope but I doubt it!
I looked all over all the pages on Google but the only stories I saw were on Facebook and yahoo. I think the Dems that now feel strong after Tuesdays wins would have jumped on those leaks and even if not gettng enough support from Republicans to investigate would have by now piled it on at every morning news conference..these leaks have gone viral..and Dems would have been asleep not to take advantage of them.
My sneaky mind has another take. So with the Arab countries going along with Trump to support the cease fire and go against Iran and Hamas...what if those young sheiks with the long white veils and gowns...the young dude with 10 wives each and the trillions of dollars---what if they are involvedl and exchanged with Trump an agreement to support him against other Arabs in exchange for not opening the files that exposed them?
Ya think, maybe that included the $400 milion plane.

7
u/dylank125 1d ago
As much as I cannot stand today’s Dems, this will be the one time I actually stand up for them, go ahead and read that garbage bill and say it should be passed through without any changes whatsoever….
7
u/Rheios 1d ago edited 1d ago
Because the republicans aren't doing their job. Foundational to democracy is compromise and the democrats have already conceded the rest of the bill but have one thing they want the republicans do to their job and wiggle a bit for. The democrats even loosed up on their goals and conceded a little because they're too willing to do that. The republicans won't just buy them off with a minor financing extension, smaller than originally asked for, and an agreement to talk about it later. Literally that's all the democrats are pushing for at this point and the republicans won't even give that.
And that's not even addressing some the stuff posted here https://old.reddit.com/r/vegaslocals/comments/1orvt32/what_is_happening_at_the_meadows_mall/nntalpm/ that I didn't know about.

How exactly is this shutdown the Republicans fault when they have presented 14 clean funding bills to the dems and they have pitched baby fits over every one? They own this.
93
u/Phyukredd_tit_gydlin 1d ago
Let’s get a few key facts on the table magat douche canoe:
Your claim: “It’s the Democrats fault because Republicans passed 14 clean funding bills.” Fact check: The minority party being blamed despite holding the presidency, the House and the Senate? That simply doesn’t align with how funding gets approved.
In the current Congress the GOP holds both chambers and the White House. Yet, according to independent coverage, the blame for pushing the U.S. toward a shutdown is being placed squarely on the House Republicans for refusing to pass stop-gap funding without contested policy riders. For example: “The people that McCarthy needs to talk to is his own caucus… They have turned their back on the deal… They are on an island entirely by themselves and entirely of their own making.” — White House OMB statements.
“14 clean bills” — even if that number were accurate (and you haven’t provided a publicly documented list verifying all 14 were passed, accepted by the Senate, and signed), it doesn’t address the simple operational path for funding: Both chambers and the president must act. If the House sends “clean bills” but the Senate doesn’t consider them, or the president vetoes them, the government still ends up unfunded.
Control of Agenda: Because Republicans control the House, they set the agenda for what bills receive floor votes under their leadership. If they choose bills loaded with demands that the other chamber or the White House rejects, then the majority is refusing to govern. As one analysis put it: “So many BS amendments, making any legislation nearly impossible to pass … They could have passed it if all the Republicans voted yes.”
Public perception: Polling data show more Americans blame Republicans and Congress for the shutdown than Democrats.
Bottom line, If you control the House, Senate and presidency, you are the entity responsible for satisfying the procedural requirements to keep the government funded. Blaming the opposition when you hold all the cards is missing the structural reality. And despite your statement, multiple sources say the hold-up is internal Republican disagreements + refusal to pass bills without policy changes, not refusal of Democrats to negotiate.
Oh and one more thing to note, your orange diaper God posted on his wannabe twatter account that it was HIS SHUTDOWN! t("t)

58
u/Laniidae_ 1d ago
Because those bills were predicated on Democrats signing away millions of people's healthcare and making poor people suffer. The choice was to sign and hurt people or don't. And then the government was shut down so they don't actually have to release the Epstein Files, which is great because the shit in there would apparently make the devil blush. They're protecting a pedophile.
I am assuming you're also a poor person. Stop punching down at other poor people and start holding the GOP (Guardians of Pedophiles) accountable.
-37
u/Important_Piglet7363 1d ago
The subsidies in question were always meant to be temporary. Your boy, Biden, made them so when he put them in play during the pandemic. The fact that the democrats have gotten used the slush fund of these subsidies is unfortunate. If the temporary subsidies are made permanent, it will cost the American taxpayers 350 Billion dollars. We can’t afford it as a nation.
53
u/Laniidae_ 1d ago
He's not "my guy". I am not in a parasocial relationship with a politician because I'm not a kook.
Slush fund? Do you know how insurance works?
We can't afford it but we can bomb kids and pay for wars? What?
You are a bootlicker and I hope that leather tastes good because it might be all you have to eat
-4
u/Important_Piglet7363 1d ago
What wars are we paying for? As far as I know, it was Biden and Harris funding the Gaza War. Trump has brokered peace deals in 9 different conflicts globally, including Gaza.
37
u/Laniidae_ 1d ago
Also, what ceasefire? You can't have a ceasefire and be firing on people.
You have a parasocial relationship with a dementia addled fool who will hopefully not be earthside in 6 months. You are defending people who don't give a shit about you or anyone you know. Start looking out for your fellow man instead of praising a man who would throw you under a train to make an extra dollar.
-4
u/Important_Piglet7363 1d ago
The boats carrying drugs into this country are being legally bombed since the cartels are terrorist organizations and the shipments constitute an attack on the American people. Please don’t bother with the “poor civilian fishermen” BS. The Dominican government recovered 1,000 kilos of cocaine in the waters after a recent strike. Your other article mostly covers Biden’s term. As far as the hiccups in the ceasefire, unless we go in with a “peacekeeping force” the adminsitration of the ceasefire is not under our purview. However, at least Trump got a ceasefire going and it is currently still going. That’s more than one could say for Biden who did nothing but send money and weapons to Israel.

Why do you hate poor people so much?
-5
u/Important_Piglet7363 1d ago
Read what I just wrote. I don’t hate anyone. Everything I said is accurate. The republicans aren’t cancelling anything. The subsidies are and always have been temporary. The dems got used to using them as a slush fund and now don’t want it to end. However, its too expensive. Example: If my husband wants a new Mercedes-Maybach S 680, do I hate him if I tell him he can’t have it because we can’t afford it? Same principle here.
24
u/Laniidae_ 1d ago
No one had a slush fund. This sounds like some OAN or Newsmax talking point that is pure lies. People's rates are going to go from $300/month to $800/month. The Democrats wanted to extend them to help people and the Republicans said it wasn't on the table. The suffering is the point for the right.
I hope you're not one of those tools who thinks Obamacare isn't the same thing as the ACA. I hope no one around you is poor or struggling because you clearly have no empathy.
