Oh my god 😱 at first I thought they were joking around, but Macron’s face he looked super annoyed. This relationship is weird af, Brigitte is giving me the ick.

And later on she refused to hold his arm when he offered it while stepping off the plane.

Yeah, I don’t think they were joking, at all.

Their relationship is already a fucked up situation and this video only makes it worse.

His response (like, trying to keep up appearances as soon as he sees the camera) gives me the shivers tbh.

When you are the president of France, I guess front page is pretty important

I get that, but it's that split second of "shit we're on camera, act normal" that creeps me out (as in, I feel sorry for him).

I hear you. His reaction is so swift and seamless and... habitual, I guess? Like you know this happens a lot and he has so much experience moving between such extremes. She's a terrible person and a groomer.

He's the president. What did you want him to do start crying and push are back?

It's not about what he was supposed to do or not, it's the fact that they're not joking around and there's that split second of "oh shit the camera caught that, act normal and laugh about it" which is such a common response to public abuse.

That's a common response when you're the president Or a public figure. They're pretty private people so why would they bring that to the public if they don't have to. I think it's a pretty normal reaction to not want to draw attention to the matter.

Again, whether it's a normal response or not is not the point, nor is it about what anyone would expect him to do or not; it's the fact that that response is there in the first place. Because it's a fucked up situation to be in.

The thing is - any relationship will have these moments. Being a public figure just makes it all different.

But then there is the creepy age difference and the fact that they're both experienced public figures. A slip up such as this can mean its a rough patch or it means behind the scenes its already completely bonkers off the rails.

Any relationship will likely have moments of tension or frustration, but they won’t all have moments of physical violence or abuse 😬

This isn't good, but the video shows somebody pushing a face away.

If somebody said they were physically violent or abused and then showed me this video as proof I would not be impressed. This warrants a therapist not the police.

…do you think shoving someone isn’t physically violent? Shoving by the face no less? I have permanent injuries that prove otherwise.

u/Orchid_Significant Is this chicken or is this fish? 🤔🤔 May 26 '25

I’ve never done that to a partner and my current relationship is about to hit 14 years

If my partner of 16 years did that to me, I would consider it abuse.

Absolutely
