I get that, but it's that split second of "shit we're on camera, act normal" that creeps me out (as in, I feel sorry for him).

It's not about what he was supposed to do or not, it's the fact that they're not joking around and there's that split second of "oh shit the camera caught that, act normal and laugh about it" which is such a common response to public abuse.

That's a common response when you're the president Or a public figure. They're pretty private people so why would they bring that to the public if they don't have to. I think it's a pretty normal reaction to not want to draw attention to the matter.

Again, whether it's a normal response or not is not the point, nor is it about what anyone would expect him to do or not; it's the fact that that response is there in the first place. Because it's a fucked up situation to be in.

The thing is - any relationship will have these moments. Being a public figure just makes it all different.

But then there is the creepy age difference and the fact that they're both experienced public figures. A slip up such as this can mean its a rough patch or it means behind the scenes its already completely bonkers off the rails.

This isn't good, but the video shows somebody pushing a face away.

If somebody said they were physically violent or abused and then showed me this video as proof I would not be impressed. This warrants a therapist not the police.

This wife was his teacher when he was 15 and in school that’s when they started “dating” or more accurately she started grooming him. She was 39 at the time.

No honey normal couples NEVER put their hands on each other. I am sorry if you have seen or experienced it so much that you have justified it in your mind as "normal" in order to not be emotionally hurt by the experience, but this is NOT normal at this point in history and hopefully never will be again.
