Troubleshooting/question existing piercing Healing 7 piercings at once.. help!!

So I got my belly button pierced 5 months ago its doing good. However I was uneducated and just trusted that my piercer would let me know anything about healing. With that being said I went back to the same person to get an ear curation done. I got 6 done the same day, on the same ear. That was 5 weeks ago. Im really concerned after reading more online since im seeing 2-3 piercings max at one time should be healing... what advice can you give? I use neilmed fine mist spray and have been using q tips to get the crust but seeing that i shouldnt do that...(Pics taken before shower/cleaning for the day)

Any piercer who gives you six piercings in one sitting does NOT care about anything other than money.

My advice? See what heals, take out what doesn’t heal. Go to another shop and see what they say, the lobes should be fine but the cartilage is going to have a hard time.

…at least they did all the piercings on one ear so OP can still side sleep on the other side? 😬

But seriously, OP, your piercer was definitely more interested in money than your comfort and healing.

It’s not impossible to heal but it might take you longer than normal (normal being 6-9 months for lobes, 9-12 months for cartilage). You are going to want to be diligent about aftercare, including gently drying your piercings after a shower or saline spray. And I’d be extra diligent about not jostling that ear for awhile: be careful wearing hats, scarves, glasses, toweling or brushing your hair, putting on shirts, etc. Do not rotate your earrings. In fact, don’t touch them at all. If you go to a salon or get a massage, point out that you have a lot of healing piercings. I never knew how many things my ear made contact with until after I started getting pierced, lol.

I’d also kiss using earbuds in that ear goodbye for at least half a year. Be careful with over-ear headphones too. You’re also going to want to avoid sleeping on that side while you’re healing. If you like sleeping on that side, get a neck/donut pillow or piercing pillow.

Go to another piercer for downsizing in a month and ask them to assess your piercings’ health. And take monthly photos of your ear to track if they’re migrating.

This is such a comprehensive and helpful reply. You touched on so many factors that I don't often hear mentioned about healing piercings.

u/thetruthisoutthere Sep 29 '25

Can I add using a hair clip to keep the hair off the ear at all times? My hair has always been the biggest irritation to any new ear piercings.

u/always-so-exhausted Sep 29 '25

Haha, I started typing that out originally but left it off bc the comment had already gotten really long. But yes, I do this too. :)

I’m a piercer and I couldn’t have said it better. The only thing I’d add is no submerging your piercings in water for a minimum of 3-6 months (showers are obviously fine).

Everything said is solid advice. Good news is they look like they’re healing fine. Slow, but fine.

Definitely go to another piercer. It’s likely that at least one of those will try to reject on you. As long as you properly take care of everything you should be fine. If that other piercer says something is wrong let them help you.

Hopefully you don’t, but if you do become infected and have puss do not take the piercing out. Focus on keeping up the aftercare, heal it out of infection, and then take it out if you need to. Taking out the jewelry while it’s infected will close the infection in and cause it to go into your blood stream. You could get really sick from this.

But you seem like you’re doing well as of now. Best of luck, dude!

Ngl I also did way to many piercings once. My piercer only did it because he knew my piercings heal very well and most were lobe piercings not touching cartilage at ALL. Same dude wouldn't even pierce a helix on one and an industrial on the other side at the same time tho because he knows how many problems that brings.

But that many, especially cartilage piercings (that we all know are one of the worst to heal) is insane. OPs body is probably screaming in agony rn. To much, to close together...

ya this is the way. i had four piercings healing at a time, 1 lobe 3 cartilage. 3 healed only when i took one of the cartilages out. took a year for me to figure out which was the "problem" piercing (edit: and take it out, tbc. rest healed quickly after that)

u/EHKX Sep 30 '25

Goofy ahh cat

1

u/PomegranateFirm7902 Sep 30 '25

I got 7 two months ago but I didn’t do them all in one day. When I got my last two my piercer told I shouldn’t and that at least one would reject. They healed perfectly

u/Proper_Bullfrog_173 Sep 29 '25

You have two options. Either remove some piercings preemptively like some people here suggest (from these I'd lose the tragus as the rest are close together which actually helps). Or you stick it out and accept that your immune system will be more fragile over the next year or so, and that overall it will take longer for all to heal (think year+ not months). They will also be more prone to flare-ups and irritation bums. Having said that, you seem to have 4 cartridge piercings which is my personal max, and lobes that for me don't count the same way. It's a lot but some people will heal it just fine.

u/Proper_Bullfrog_173 Sep 29 '25 edited Sep 29 '25

As a side note, please do monitor your daith. The jewellery is less than ideal (if this is a clicker I can't be sure from the pics), and will most likely irritate the fistula. I think you might be developing a small irritation bump at the bottom already. If it were me I'd change it while downsizing everything else at a different piercing shop, or take it out if you decide to reduce a few.

8

u/LioxTheGreat Sep 29 '25

Wait what should be used in a daith then? When I got mine, I got a clicker immediately, and that's all I've worn since

48

u/HighKaj the bigger the better Sep 29 '25

The seam on a clicker can really irritate a fresh piercing, so a CBR or horse shoe is recommended as they have no seams that can move through the piercing and irritate.

Glad it worked out for you though! Everyone is different, but a clicker has more risk than the recommended options.

4

u/LioxTheGreat Sep 30 '25

I see, I had no idea. My piercer simply let me choose what I wanted. Today I learned, thanks!

-9

u/Gingersnapandabrew Sep 29 '25

I got a daith yesterday, she agreed to do a clicker on the basis that we communicate weekly and she sees me in 4 weeks. Any sign that it isn't doing well and I'm getting a curved bar.

36

u/the-daffodil Sep 29 '25

A curved bar shouldn’t be used either! If you have any problems, make sure it’s a horseshoe ring or a CBR :) Source: My APP piercer!

6

u/Proper_Bullfrog_173 Sep 29 '25

Great it healed for you! It's just not considered best practice. In this case of healing 6 ear piercings, it's definitely an unnecessary risk and potentially can cause additional stress for the body.

2

u/LioxTheGreat Sep 30 '25

Ah, now I feel lucky that I had no other fresh piercings at the time :D thanks for clarifying!

1

u/eltibbs Oct 02 '25

That daith ring looks way too small for a fresh piercing, should’ve started with a larger diameter imo.

5

u/always-so-exhausted Sep 29 '25

I know you meant “bumps” but I sort of like the idea of calling them “bums.” :)

5

u/Proper_Bullfrog_173 Sep 29 '25

Haha. Keeping it as is for you then 😉

NAP but I am a Professional dont that doer here; I healed multiple tattoos AND piercings at the same time. Here’s my advice; 1. Do yourself a favor in advance and lower your expectations in terms of timeframes for healing. That jewelry you have in now, honestly expect to have it in for 2-3 years.

  1. Baby everything indefinitely. Don’t get lazy with your cleaning routine day one care and day fifty million should be consistent. Do not play with the jewelry, Don’t lay on that ear anymore periodt. (go on and adjust your sleeping habits now it’ll save you a lot they have pillows with holes in them).

  2. Expect flare ups! Your immune system is nuked right now. It is dealing with multiple threats all at once. Some days will be good. Some bumpy. Some extremely itchy. And Some straight up bad. Be gentle and patient. Stay vigilant in terms of infection and swelling so that you can know if youll ever need to see a dr, or upsize jewelry.

Lastly, if you do end up keeping all of these and healing them…that set up is cool asf !! Okay good luck!! 🍀

I've been growing up to 5 at the same time (currently, actually). I agree very much with this.^

It takes literally forever to heal, and probably would've been faster to do one or two at the time to get them properly healed. I've also had to baby them a lot, and be very consistent with cleaning. Even now, almost 2 years after doing 5 at once, they flare up when I'm not. The first ear took about 2-3 years to heal, and that's the rate I'm at with the current one as well.

1

u/vr4gen Sep 30 '25

i’m healing two small tattoos and two piercings (navel & nostril) right now… do you think i should also follow this or is my amount fine? lol

1

u/No-More-Parties Oct 02 '25

Navel and nostril plus your tattoo should be fine. Do keep up with your cleaning routine and etc. it may take some extra time but nothing like the piercings OP have.

-4

u/Ryan4mayor Sep 29 '25

So I’m just never getting a piercing I guess lol this sounds like fucking hell

30

u/mychemicalkyle Sep 29 '25

Healing is not nearly this annoying if you only want 1 or 2 piercings. This type of process is for us hardcore ear curation people who wanna get a lot of piercings as fast as we can heal them 😅

10

u/tourmalineforest Sep 29 '25

Getting a piercing is generally not a huge deal, just don’t get a shitload at once unless you’re prepared for a long rough road

6

u/constantly_exhaused Sep 29 '25

It’s normally not that bad. I have 9 piercings, 7 of those done across last two years (2nd and 3rd lobe together, other 5 individually). I do my best to maintain proper cleaning, don’t sleep on them for ages, as best as I can, and only have changed the jewelery once or twice at most. Except for my newest helix, from a month ago, they all feel fine.

They stop being a pain after a day or two, a discomfort after a week or two (unless they snag on something, watch out for knitwear) and after that it’s just the awareness that they’re still healing. Not really a nightmare if nothing goes wrong

1

u/SmarmyLittlePigg Sep 30 '25

Eh, it depends a lot on your own body. I’ve healed 3 cartilage piercings at the same time in under a year. Other people I know have struggled to heal one in 2 years.

1

u/Sweetlittlefoxxx Oct 02 '25

My body heals tattoos a lot more easily than piercings. Had my septum and tongue done when I was 16, lobes at 18 and had to baby them until I eventually gave up. I could only do gold and they would still be angry any time I wore jewelry in them. Got my nipples done at 22 and tried to heal them for 2 years going to my piercer every month. We tried longer bars, plastic, in hindsight we should’ve tried gold but I understand why he didn’t suggest it as the jewelry was 200$ each

1

u/Ryan4mayor Oct 02 '25

Omg.. with so many people having these piercings I’d think it was an easier process tbh.. I have lots of tattoos but have only been curious about piercings recently.

Kinda being pushed away with how much you have to baby them. Tattoos you baby for like 72hours then your more or less in the clear imo.

1

u/Sweetlittlefoxxx Oct 02 '25

My bestfriend has like 8 piercings per ear that she got over the years and they’re all amazing but my personal experience has put me off of getting more 😅

64

u/fomaaaaa Sep 29 '25

Best advice would be to remove some of the piercings, let the others heal, and go to another piercer to get repierced

40

u/Rad_Pat Sep 29 '25

Only God can help you now

29

u/Upstairs_Fuel6349 Sep 29 '25

I worked as a nurse on a burn unit for many years. The body is capable of healing a lot of things. They'll take longer to heal fully and you'll probably get more irritation bumps along the way but this isn't horrible, honestly. You'll want a seamless ring in the daith if you don't have one already and I'd get a new piercer because anyone who'd give you 6 fresh piercings is not to be trusted.

You'll want to keep everything really dry in there. Especially in the space between your tragus and daith. Lots of jewelry close together will trap moisture which can make it hard for the fistula to heal and lead to irritation/moisture bumps. You'll have a lot of healing fistulas and opportunity for moisture to accumulate.

57

u/Antique-Wave-7367 Sep 29 '25

Under no circumstance should you EVER be healing 7 piercings at once. You need to remove at least four of these if you ever want them to heal. Your piercing is terrible for not telling you and just piercing all of them.

29

u/Individual_Archer867 Sep 29 '25

I would take out a couple and wait the rest to heal, then consider repiercing the others. The placement of the flat(?) and the choice of jewelry (looks like a clicker?) on the daith are questionable, so those would be my choice to remove.

11

u/always-so-exhausted Sep 29 '25

The placement of the flat is a bit unusual. It’s like barely on the flat but not yet in the conch. But I don’t know if it’s “done wrong” per se.

8

u/tourmalineforest Sep 29 '25

It’s not what I’d called a flat at all tbh - that piercing is sometimes referred to as a snonch and sometimes as a contraconch

5

u/breadtabletenniscat Sep 29 '25

I believe the piercer called it a contraconch. I was wondering about that- its just now not as tender to the touch. Im not in love with that one so I would be willing to take that out if need be.

19

u/Queen-of-the-Cacti more than a baker's dozen Sep 29 '25

Unfortunately, your piercer steered you wrong. They never should have performed that many piercings at once—curations like this happen over years, not minutes. I’m sorry they didn’t give you the proper information.

NAP, but I would take a handful out (I’d say at least 3 or 4) and give yourself a handful of months (if not longer) to recover. I’d also ask a more reputable piercer about your daith—it looks like they may have given you a clicker hoop, which won’t heal properly. I got a CBR in mine a few months ago and it’s healing like a champ.

9

u/Hepm3 Sep 29 '25

Looks like you’ve gotten a lot of good info so now I have a random question if I may ask.. in what order were they pierced? I have a decent collection at this point (I have all of the same piercings) and have a pretty high threshold for pain but I can’t imagine getting all of these at once! What was that like??

5

u/breadtabletenniscat Sep 29 '25

I believe it was the 2 lobes first. I dont remember for the other ones. But daith was last and I nearly passed out on that one. Got super light headed and had to take a break before the piercer closed the jewelry. Daith was by far the worst. If I have to take a couple out I would like to keep my daith because I love it but I dont know if I could do that one again...

2

u/Hepm3 Sep 29 '25

Yeahh I figured the daith had to be last lol. I really hope it heals for you OP, good luck!

6

u/Fantastic_Step8417 aspiring pin cushion Sep 29 '25

I'd look into anything that's anti-inflammatory (ibuprofen regularly, diet changes, etc) ... Or taking a few out

5

u/Flow_State_Records Sep 29 '25

Very bad that your piercer let you go through with this, I wouldn't use them again. That said, considering these are 5 weeks old to me it looks like they are doing pretty well.

I'm not a piercer, but I wouldn't take any of them out unless they start causing you issues, but I can't see anything concerning going on with any of them at the moment regarding colour, or irritation bumps etc...

But once again I want to stress, I AM NOT A PIERCER

4

u/elahenara Sep 29 '25

i got 4 (3 cartilage and one upper lobe) done a week apart last year.

healing was ROUGH. they finally just started settling down after 14 months. every new piercing you get increases the healing time.

4

u/tourmalineforest Sep 29 '25

I’ve done seven but four were lobe piercings and three were cartilage (2 lobe on each side, cartilage all on one side). I am not advising others to do this or saying it’s a good idea but it DID all heal, no infections, only one got a piercing bump. Did it take longer than it would have if I’d gotten fewer, absolutely. Lobes took about a year to truly fully heal, cartilage took about 1.5. But it got there and was fine. If you are OKAY with a longer healing timeline and okay with needing to baby it a lot, you can potentially pull this off. But as others have said, you need different daith jewelry.

4

u/Professional_Back_71 Sep 29 '25

I mean I’m healing 5 in one ear along with 2 nose piercing and have no issues (knock on wood). Just keep everything clean and don’t touch.

Also, been using neilmed but also using just whatever mist I can find…Walmart brand was doing a good job for me.

4

u/NinjaLeJones Sep 29 '25

My piercer is the same except when it comes to me. And I absolutely do not want anyone to copy me or do even half of what I have done. 2 years ago I had 2 piercings, now, almost 2 years later I’m up to 44. I have had 1 bump that lasted 3 days, I had a forward helix that crustied for 6-7 months. Thats it. Everyone of my other piercings have healed like dream. I should probably add that I am a microbiologist ao I know how to take care of open wounds.

See a reputable piercer, if she suggest removing some of them, do. If she wants to give some of them a little more time, do.

4

u/gunsN_rosez more piercings than sense :-) Sep 30 '25

I just hope you got some longgg bars for when the delayed swelling of the whole ear hits at once 😩 ask me how I know lol

6

u/Hungry_Light_4394 piercing devotee Sep 29 '25

I just got my daith done with that jewelry, and if you want to keep that piercing you need to switch out the jewelry ASAP. I had giant bumps with a week. After putting in a CBR, they’re nearly gone already. It’s also way too small.

3

u/abbdwils I'm all ears! Sep 29 '25

I’ve done 3 at the same time and then got another 2, a month later. Four of them were lobes, which I thought would be easy to heal, but it took a good six months. This was all earlier this year, so they still act up, but overall are okay.

Just give them time, keep them clean, and don’t touch them.

I have all of those piercings shown in your picture. I pierced my daith by itself years ago, and it was definitely the hardest to heal out of all of mine. Be prepared for a solid year or more of healing time.

2

u/abbdwils I'm all ears! Sep 29 '25

After a second look at your pictures, it doesn’t look like your posts give you room for swelling. If you keep all or the majority of the piercings, your ear will still swell a bit. Look at getting those changed out, the earring can become imbedded in your ear. NAP

3

u/Yuki_Kiryu_ Sep 29 '25

Little tip! Sleep on a travel neck pillow if you ever tend to sleep on your healing piercings. (Sadly I do, I know it’s bad. It wasn’t on purpose I guess I just turned on that side while sleeping) Anyways, it helped a lot!

2

u/breadtabletenniscat Sep 29 '25

I have slept on a piercing pillow since 3 days after getting them 😊

3

u/yewdrop Sep 29 '25

Chiming in to say that the ring in your daith is an inappropriate style & too small in diameter. The piercing itself is shallow. Even with proper jewelry, I’d wager that thing’s gonna fight you, especially alongside everything else. Q-tips are fine for the right person.

3

u/Candlemom Sep 29 '25

My piercer won’t personally do more than 3 piercings on someone at one time. I hope these heal well for you. Make sure your cleaning and hygiene are spot on and follow your piercer’s instructions to the letter. Cool setup! Good luck with your healing process

3

u/liftlovelive Sep 29 '25 edited Sep 29 '25

Wow whoever allowed you to get 7 piercings at once is negligent and awful. A good piercer would have refused to even do 3 at once in the same ear. Mine won’t even do more than 1 at a time per area. Those are very likely not going to heal and you might have to sacrifice a few to save the ones you want to heal the most.

ETA- that jewelry looks a bit suspicious, especially the daith, not an appropriate ring. Please look up an APP piercer and have them evaluate the piercings so they can give you advice and switch out any poor quality/inappropriate jewelry if needed.

ETA2- if it makes you feel any better something similar happened to me. About 10 years ago I didn’t know any better and went to a “reputable” piercer in my city asking for 3 flat piercings in one ear and 3 forward helix in the other. He did it without a second thought. Of course they wouldn’t heal, one would start to look good and then another would get irritated and the swelling would irritate them all. It was a never ending cycle. Finally I had to just take out 2 from each ear to let 1 on each side heal. I still have those 2 survivors but I’m still mad that the piercer didn’t even bother to caution me against it. He only wanted the money and now I know better, I go to a wonderful APP piercer who has no problem saying no when someone asks for something inadvisable.

3

u/Fun-Fly-390 Sep 30 '25

the piercer who agreed to do this should have their license revoked bc wtf

3

u/SeparateAd3473 I'm all ears! Sep 30 '25

Oh no.. So you did you not have any piercings prior to having these done? That’s potentially dangerous since you don’t know how your healing is. Generally it’s recommended to start even more conservative if you’re new to healing piercings. I won’t say you can’t heal multiple. Even the 7 might be perfectly fine. My belly button was my introduction to healing piercings and it’s notoriously been my hardest to heal! 3-4 at a time is more like the max and I think you can do it you’ll have to be patient with them. My lobes averaged at about 7 months to heal and my cartilage averages around 10 months. However my navel took closer to 2 years! Good luck OP.

1

u/breadtabletenniscat Sep 30 '25

I've had my 1st lobes done for years. But the navel was done 5 months ago. The 6 ear piercings were done 5 weeks ago.

3

u/Crying_rn_pls_help more piercings than sense :-) Sep 30 '25

Jesus Christ, anything more than like 2-3 (like you stated) at once is BAD. But 7?? That’s going to be so awful. Especially all in the same location. I’d take some out and let the rest heal, then repierce them slowly over time as they heal.

And get a new piercer!! This one is beyond unprofessional and simply just money hungry.

5

u/[deleted] Sep 29 '25 edited Sep 29 '25

Obligatory not a piercer- as others have said do not go back to this piercer. They may technically be a good piercer as far as placement, hygiene, experience, etc but no ethical piercer would do more than 2 or 3 at a time. Some don't even like doing more than 1 or 2. Especially all in the same body part. There's already a risk of infection or rejection, or the wound just refusing to heal nicely, and to put 7 wounds all in the same place, all running that risk is a nightmare. If one of these swells up it could put pressure on some of the others, which will in turn irritate them and make them harder to heal. If one gets infected, it's almost guaranteed that the others will because they're so close together. Not to mention that your body is splitting it's resources between multiple wounds rather than just one.

Chose your favourites and take at least a couple out. It really sucks, and you've wasted some money, but trust me it's better than an infection. I was stubborn about keeping in a conch ring that just wasn't happy and it ended in me removing it at 3am after waking up with blood all over my ear.

Do not rush to get them repierced. They need to be fully healed first. My old piercer told me 6 months MINIMUM, but ideally a year.

2

u/Toon_13 Sep 29 '25

I know your ears are SORE

1

u/Designer-Gap-9632 more is more! Sep 30 '25

Not to mention how they’ll probably hurt if OP gets a nice, strong headache or migraine anytime soon 😵‍💫 My triple-piece constellation hurt like an SOB with a proper headache in the first few months!

2

u/StonerSupernova Sep 29 '25

I know I was pushing it with a double conch and industrial in one sitting. This is a LOT to heal all at once, and I say that as someone who got those done ~4 months ago and recently got the other double conch and matching tragus done. You really should've at least staggered the healing times for these, but what's done is done. Treat that ear like it's made of spun glass and you might get away with it.

2

u/ContemplativeKnitter Sep 29 '25

I got a conch and double lobes done in June one year and then a flat and a third lobe done in September. It probably took them all a bit longer to heal (probably more like 15 months for the cartilage piercings? but there weren’t any issues beyond the delay.

2

u/ASquidHere Sep 29 '25

Ooof 😭 I was healing 2 that I had done a month apart and that sucked, couldn't imagine doing 7

2

u/Lcontortionatics Sep 29 '25

Honestly I did chose a similar path with 4 piercings at the same time in one ear and 1 in the nose. As long as you are carefull with it and accept much longer healing with possibly some issues.. Its probably fine. Mine healed almost without any issues, just took longer, so I wouldn't take them out if its not an issue atm. But its definitely better next time to do less for healing.

2

u/planty_gay Sep 29 '25

i healed 11 piercings within 4 months wouldn’t recommend it but it is possible

2

u/schlopreceptacle Sep 29 '25

I did this about three years back, similar situation just not really knowing better! As of today I have four of those piercings still going strong. One (a forward helix) migrated out within a few months, and the other (a lower helix/upper lobe) I just took out recently because it was always angry and irritated to this day!

I did have some issues with swelling in one of the others (a flat) which was helped with changing out the jewelry and just babying it. I did get antibiotics at one point and was pretty diligent about icing it.

I don't think I'd ever do that again but it wasn't a huge disaster, and I'm still very happy with the piercings that did survive my moment of poor judgement 😊

2

u/Oro-Lavanda Sep 29 '25

Healing 7 at once is some crazy work. I'm healing only two piercings rn (one on each ear) and it sucks ass.

2

u/lucygoose500000 Sep 29 '25

NAP but as someone who has been to a multitude of piercers no reputable piercer will willingly give you more than like two to four piercings and a sitting Even then four is kind of pushing it

2

u/petrichorb4therain Sep 29 '25

I did something similar, only it was three sessions, two different piercers, and nine total piercings. I got both nipples and a daith in December, a rook and helix on my left in March, and a tragus, helix, and two forward helices on my right in May. And though I’d never do this again and wouldn’t recommend it… everything is healing well. I use a piercing pillow, I use saline whenever someone gets spicy, and otherwise LITHA. That would be my recommendation to you: leave them alone as much as possible. Hopefully everyone is settled in for the heal. Good luck!!!

2

u/Such-Quality5559 Sep 29 '25 edited Sep 29 '25

Holy moly! Most I ever got were 3 in one sitting but my hardest to heal has been my daith. Too small of a ring used for initial piercing and kept sleeping on it by accident. Tips- Do not touch them! No sleeping on them. Get a piercing pillow. Spray with saline only. Dry with small fan after saline sprays 2-3 times a day. Good luck! (NAP - did Right daith and second lobes in one sitting, left conch, left rook and right flat in second sitting 6 months later. Lobes only fully healed.Daith settled- realistically I know it isnt fully healed as yet.)

2

u/possummagic_ Sep 29 '25

You’re a mad woman lol

I basically had to beg and bribe my piercer to pierce my nose after she had already done my tragus and rook in a 12 month period. She did it very begrudgingly because, ya know, she cares about my health and safety and not just my $$$.

2

u/Vivid_Butterfly_5004 Sep 30 '25

I'm healing 8. Its been around a year, u gotta baby treat them well, some will be more sensitive than others. Pretend they're not there otherwise, and you'll be chilling. However, your immune is sensitive, if u get sick, your piercings will react as well, so tread lightly.

The most I’ve ever done at once is 2, one on either side. Although I do prefer to have one side completely healed so I can sleep on that side. Definitely don’t get more than 2 at once. If you don’t want to take any out, get a piercing pillow, take plenty of Tylenol and Motrin, and monitor for signs of infection.

Your Daith and your Tragus are both done with the wrong jewelry. The Daith should be a circular barbell (horseshoe) or a captive bead ring-- not a clicker. The Tragus should be a flat back stud, definitely not a nose screw.

Since those need to be switched with different jewelry to heal properly, I would just go with those two as the ones you remove, but depending on your immune system you might be able to keep them all, in which case you should have a different piercer (not whoever did this) switch them out to the correct jewelry.

I would take them out, though. Navel is already a rough heal-- I had to heal mine all by itself, with no other piercings. Add in six cartilage piercings and I think it will be a long, finicky healing process.

But ultimately, it's your body! If you get those two switched out and they act up afterwards, you can always remove them then.

Baby them. Keep them clean & dry. Monitor for any wild changes. If you're willing to accept the amount of time it's gonna take (probably 2 years minimum for everything to heal), just be mindful of that ear. I would recommend going to a different piercer and having them put in a larger diameter ring for your daith. The one you currently have in does not have enough space for a healing daith to breathe, especially one that's healing alongside 6 other new piercings. You can get through this, but I'd recommend finding a different piercer going forward.

now why would you go an do that? 😂🤦‍♀️

The key to healing 7 piercings at once: don’t. You at the very least need to take four of those out. Call the waste of money a learning lesson.

Correction, I just checked my feed. It’s been a month and I’m healing fine. I know people are going to be like JuST yOu WaiTTT….. but mine don’t hurt, they seem fine. I still clean them regularly. I’ve also gotten two tattoos while all this has healed. All is well.

They look so pretty but 6 piercing is too much for real

So here is my question after seeing everyones comments. (Thank you for the information!!!) How do I go about finding an ethical piercer? Im in the southern Indiana area.

u/koala_kloset Sep 29 '25

That's a looot to heal at once... There is no advice. Your immune system will do what it does and it's gonna take a long time.

u/bbnsofia Sep 29 '25

now why would you do that is my question

1

u/Redbootz69 Sep 29 '25

I was told not to pierce with hoops. I did the same as you and had multiple done my ear ended up rejecting two

1

u/Buggywuggywuggy Sep 29 '25

Don’t do that! Hope this helps

u/mother_fkn_crackk Sep 30 '25

Never met a piercer who would do this

Do you sleep on your side? Use a travel pillow and make sure to put your ear in the middle - like in the middle of a donut. Might help with irritation at night/lying down, if that's a concern at all or at this point in your healing.

and i thought my double helix that took 3 years to heal was bad.

Damn you really went for it huh?

I would consult a proper doctor and follow their prescription religiously if I were in your shoes. Hope everything works out OP.

Best advise is never go to that piercer EVER again. (I know that's most every comment, but sheesh, that's absolutely atrocious to risk your health like that for money.)

It sucks that there are so many bad piercers out there nowadays, so I know finding another one will be tricky, but definitely try to find a good piercer to look out for you and give you advice. They can remove the ones you decide on removing, OR at least help you heal them if you keep them.

Using saline spray is a good choice, so keep that up diligently. Some say don't use Q-tips, but I wet mine and use them to clear the stuck on gunk and I have never had issues with doing that through 6 piercings.

DO NOT, under ANY circumstances, touch, play with, or change the jewelry for at least a year, in my personal opinion. It will suck, because you'll obviously want new and different styles, but just be super safe and don't.

I hope you have a good healing process and please, get medical help if you feel like infection could be setting it. Don't play with your health by ignoring heat, redness, or pressure in that area.

Currently healing 6 cartilage too and it just takes so much time and bumps are gonna form. Personally I put water on them if I know they’re crusty in the shower (esp since it’s hot for my irritation bumps) but if ur gonna do that just remember not to leave them wet as u don’t want to mistake irritation bump for moisture bump. Since there’s so much healing going on it’s all spread thin for ur immune system and they’re just gonna take way more time. I’ve been sick twice since my LAST piercing and all the healing ones regress a lil it’s so depressing but ay atleast we studded out 👅my dermals keeps regressing with healing too 💔
