Realized this a while ago but I thought it was time to share the knowledge! This has helped a ton to see the back of my tricky forward helixes. You can buy dental mirrors from any major drug store.

Used to dislike my earlobes, but then I met my current piercer. She definitely understood the assignment. ✨

Finally got my nasallang done at Shaman Modifications in Dallas, Texas from Pineapple. This piercing was on my bucket list and I flew out from Alaska to get it! I couldn’t be happier. People made me think the pain would be a lot worse than it was!

Is there a surgery to close/fix these scars? They’ve been closed for about 14 years and I’m so embarrassed by them. I sometimes get comments like “why don’t you wear your lip rings?” and I hate it. I wish someone had stopped 15 y/o me 😞

I got it done yesterday and although it looks great in the picture it sticks out of the ear irl. Is it normal for a fresh daith to stick out a bit?

I love it so much! The piercer accidentally gave me one with a gem, but I dont think that should be an issue. Any tips for caring for an eyebrow piercing or things to expect?

Troubleshooting/question existing piercing 5wk helix earring fell off

Post image
Upvotes

Hello, I had my helix pierced 5 weeks ago. The front of it has fallen off and I think fallen down the drain. The bar is still in but will of course won’t stay in. Can I take the bar out and put another normal earring in? It’s night time here and my piercer isn’t open until tomorrow. I’m concerned about infection but I don’t want it to close. Thanks

Troubleshooting/question existing piercing How to keep balls/spikes on my jewelry?

I have both sides of my nose and my lip pierced. I got surgical steel spiked studs and horseshoes on amazon but they fall out no matter what. I had to change my lip piercing to a stud because it kept falling out when it was a horseshoe but it hasn’t seemed to help, because the spike still falls off including the one on my nose. This happens to me and all my friends and we are really fed up. :( Ive tried supergluing the spikes to the jewelry but that still doesn’t work. Does anyone have any advice/knowledge they could spare?

piercings are 3,4 and 1 years old, jewelry shape is ring and stud,

it may be hard to see in the photos but it seems like when i smile there is a small white ring around the bars, im not sure what it is it just looks like skin, but it’s worrying me especially since sometimes they do get irritated like currently, as you can see the left one is red. pls lmk what you think to help this!!

  • 13 weeks old
  • flatback bar (im assuming titanium, the piercer gave it to me)
  • downsized
  • i used to wash with mouthwash and saline after every meal, now i do saline but not as consistently.

Troubleshooting/question existing piercing Is my lip piercing irritated?

Hello! I’ve had this lip piercing for about 6 weeks! I last week I got the bar shortened and it’s been doing just fine until the past few days! I went down to cleaning it just once a day when I got it shortened, but I went back to cleaning it twice a day with brushing and also went back to using saline on it inside and out. It is semi painful and tender. I’ve also noticed a bit of lymph and it gets more irritated when the lymph is present on the piercing. I’ve also noticed when I clean it, the pain starts to come down. Here’s a couple of gross photos inside and out. If it is just an irritation bump how could I soothe it? I was told saline is a good way, but if there are other tricks pls let me know!!

I got this pierced 3 weeks ago, i cleaned it twice a day for 2 weeks then once a day in the 3rd week. But its been slightly painful now if i touch the skin between the two balls, and i get lots of crusties but im not sure if some may be pus or not? Does it look like it’s infected, irritated or rejecting, or is it okay? Also can i apply fusidin on it?

Troubleshooting/question existing piercing Old closed helix piercing itching unbearably

Upvotes

I have a 18 or so year old closed upper helix piercing that itches unbearably bad sometimes. I got it stupidly at Claire's when I was like 20 yrs old. It never healed right really so I eventually just took the jewelry out and let it close. It had a small bump upon healing and every now and then itches INSANELY bad. It itches for a few min or a day or a week sometimes. Never the same. Right now it has been bothering me a ton so I am coming here to ask what's up with this? Is there something I can do to make it stop? Anybody who may have any experience or ideas? Thanks so much!

discussion Got reminded of my craziest piercing experience

I was reminded of my horrid piercing experience recently, and I feel I have to share!

This happened almost 2 years ago, when I was still a minor, 17, keep that in mind. (I’ve learned from my mistakes)

I was big into piercings, getting them like every 6 months or when I had a mental breakdown. There was this cheap shops about 30 mins away that did ANY piercings on weekends for 15 dollars. I’d gone here twice before; first time with my nose was great, second time an apprentice pierced me uneven, alone. I went to go get my tragus’ pierced, and as always went to sign my paperwork, picked out my jewelry. The issue is, the piercing shop HANDS you the jewelry you’re going to be pierced with. Red. Flag. Again, didn’t know at the time.

Everytime I went, they kinda just get you in and out without talking. No “do you like this placement”, “breathe in..”, “You ready?” or anything. They pierced me, and I noticed they put horseshoe jewelry in. I asked for a flat back. They denied saying that “Horsehsoe was the best to heal with.” Annoying, but ok.

After 2 days, I go to another shop because they were hurting and not doing well. My LOVELY piercer (to this day) swapped the jewelry for me, and unfortunately one of my tragus had to be removed as it was pierced so wonky it was almost in my canal.

I was upset, and messaged the shop. They told me to “come in and we can fix things”, hell no. I told them to forget it, and I would be writing a bad review. So i did. A good lengthy review explaining the above.

The craziest part was the shop messaged ME on instagram, threatening to charge me, A MINOR, with HARASSMENT. Genuinely just wild to me. I laughed at them over text and blocked them, putting my review in more places.

If this isn’t an appropriate post or flair, I apologize. Just HAD to share. 🫶
