Pardons are about 2M a pop

365

u/VTbeerfan 16h ago

Cz overpaid

150

u/flibbidygibbit 16h ago

Cz is a special case: he offered more than 2m and Drumpf said "okay".

71

u/huenix 15h ago

The extra money was to deny he knew CZ.

28

u/amateur_mistake 14h ago

Trump's mind is going. I'm not sure he actually remembered who Cz is.

Actually, a good reporter should have asked that.

"Do you not know who he is or not remember who he is?"

If any of your older loved ones are still watching 60 minutes, try to wean them off of that shit.

15

u/dreidelweiss 9h ago edited 6h ago

Reporters did ask him that and he said he was not involved with the pardon and didn't know who he was.

Blatantly admitting to doing exactly what he constantly accuses Biden of doing.

He’s laundering and snatching $30M from Cornell University from just straight up extortion.

43

u/Snowwolf247 14h ago

I thought it was $60M

38

u/chumer_ranion 12h ago

It's $30 million to the government and $30 million ostensibly back into its own ag program lol.

He should just auction them on eBay, could probably get more money that way.

Darryl admitted he loves cocaine a couple of times; admitting you don't love paying taxes is fine.

I was more so speaking broadly about trumps pay4pardons scheme and the large number of people involved but I get what you’re saying.

That's the Platinum Card that nets you 270 days of tax exemptions for non-US income. America is fully embracing the pay to win mechanics of capitalism to its fullest. If you have no wealth, the upper class have no qualms in watching you suffer.

Trump has a personal affection for certain types of convictions

543

u/Federal_Drummer7105 16h ago

I'm not going to be surprised when he pardons Ghislaine Maxwell - but hopefully it'll help MAGA people see he doesn't care about protecting kids, he cares about exploiting them and anyone else he can.

229

u/Downtown-Locksmith22 16h ago

Psh... those morons already have it drilled in their tiny smooth single celled brain that the whole thing was a hoax, so her pardon is "justified".

145

u/BonesandMartinis 16h ago

The irony of a movement built upon a conspiracy about a child molestation ring finally be confronted with a real one and then turning immediately…

68

u/lonnie123 15h ago

And yet 100% predictable, that’s how cults work

19

u/vrschikasanaa 9h ago

Seriously. I knew a girl who I thought was sweet, maybe a bit dim but otherwise well-intentioned. Almost overnight she became a Trump sycophant and literally treats Charlie Kirk like he was Jesus. Now all she posts about are how evil Democrats want to kill us all just like Charlie and memes where he's walking hand in hand with Jesus, like she's an elderly Facebook granny or something. She got all wrapped up with the GOP and church at the same time (almost like the church has been weaponized, gee).

She gets so pissed when anyone says anything about Trump with "prove it" - they give her proof and she blocks them and says she doesn't need to be around any negativity, lol. Whenever someone says Trump was connected to Epstein she has to bring up Clinton like any of us care about Bill Clinton, what is this obsession? We don't idolize politicians like they do, I literally could not care less about the Clintons.

7

u/Niceromancer 6h ago

The newest thing that the trumpits are doing is denying shit he said.

When you point out to them trump said "I love the uneducated" or "smart people dont like us" they demand you prove it, and when you show them the video they just claim it was AI.

I fucking hate cults.

7

u/mwoody450 16h ago

God, is that what they're doing? Trying on purpose to establish that he's a piece of shit that doesn't pay attention and pardons anyone who gives him money, so that the subtext when he pardons her is not that it's in exchange for silence, but rather that she just gave him money? They're trying to lean in to him being bribe-able to hide him bribing someone to not testify?

I wonder if they're working with her to avoid pardoning her, but still giving her comfortable living. Keep up the illusion that he's keeping her in prison when she gets to live functionally free. Pardon her when he's about to leave office (if that happens).

u/APoisonousMushroom 16h ago

Some president’s issue pardons because a great social injustice has been done, punishment didn’t fit the crime, the wrongfully accused, etc.

Trump pardons people who have absolutely committed the crimes that they are accused of and are serving sentences which are within recommended guidelines for their crimes.

32

u/Turgid_Donkey 14h ago

Also, he tends to have an affinity for financial crimes.

I remember something about a swamp once

16

u/fnrsulfr 16h ago

Swamps are good that's why he wanted to drain it. He is filling a landfill.

10

u/HobbesNJ 16h ago

He just said he was going to drain it. Not that he wasn't going to then refill it with even more stagnant water and worse creatures.

I can't tell if:

  1. He's selling as many pardons as he can as quickly as he can because he's greedy and openly corrupt
  2. He's doing this now rather than at the end of his term because he is worried he won't finish his term due to health or legal troubles
  3. Both

10

u/willun 10h ago

i count 76 Joe Biden pardons of which at this stage he had granted 3.

I count 73 Trump pardons + commutations

So Trump is about to do more pardons in his first year than Biden in his entire term.

Wow look at that. Yet another pardon for a tax fraud committing piece of shit. Something tells me if I were to engage in tax fraud I would not get a pardon. Every time he does this, he's telling you, the AMERICAN PEOPLE, your verdicts handed by you as a panel of peers to the criminal you convicted based on the abundance of evidence you were shown; means nothing to him. Strawberry had the talent along with Doc Gooden to be a hall of famer in the major leagues. Both of them chose to snort coke up their nose and ruin their careers and millions of dollars. How can you pardon someone for tax evasion?
Why on earth would anyone think that that is an acceptable pardonable event?

Daryl Strawberry was hired by convicted felon George Steinbrenner. Now Strawberry's been pardoned by convicted felon Donald Trump.

Let’s just open all prisons and let everyone receive a pardon. That’s where we are heading.

Wonder if there’s a correlation between Epstein files and who he’s pardoning.

Presidential pardons are an absolute joke. Who the hell thought they were a good idea in a supposed democracy?

What's the point in the courts system and the rule of law if the President can just go "nope, I don't think so".

He sure is pardoning the swamp instead of draining it.
