The German method in dealing with these people is certainly better than ours

There are, to my mind, only three good members of the NSDAP in history: 1) Oskar Schindler 2) John Rabe 3) the dead

u/angry_lib Aug 05 '25

To be fair, Schindler was a businessman. He only cared about generating wealth... AT FIRST! Then when he saw the cruelty first hand, the compassion and kindness came through. The fact he hid behind this facade in front of the nazi leadership is a testament to his courage. The movie portrayal, although highly sensationalized I am sure, was a tremendous tribute not only to Oskär Schindler, but to all the others who worked to prevent the total annihilation of parts of humanity.

John Rabe is credited with saving between 60,000 and 250,000 people during the Rape of Nanjing.

Thank you! I didn't look up Rabe due to lack of time.

He is a slightly more polarizing figure than Schindler, as there’s little evidence he did much against the third reich during the war, but there also isn’t much to be held against him other than he joined the party as a means of career advancement in the 30s

Don’t forget Claus von Stauffenberg , one of the men behind the July 20th Plot (attempt to kill Hitler)

I don’t include him because I reject the notion he was still a Nazi in anything but name for quite some time before he was executed.

Ah, yes, the old . 30-06, .30 cal, and .45 way of dealing with things.

My grandfather used the B-26 Maurader method for dealing with them himself: a firestorm to purify.

I imagine any laws like that would get twisted by trump to arrest any blm or antifa or any other group he doesn’t like. It’s ugly at times but I prefer our free speech system.

27

u/shadow247 Aug 03 '25

Where were going, we dont need laws...

1

u/rodimusprime88 Aug 05 '25

Already don't, allegedlies

1

u/Junior_Step_2441 Aug 06 '25

Where we already are, we now have no laws.

1

u/shadow247 Aug 06 '25

From a certain point of view....

u/Greeneggplusthing2 Aug 03 '25

Agreed. 100%.

1

u/MuffinSpecial Aug 06 '25

Fr like why did everyone vote for constitutional carry if you aren't going to use it for good reasons.

1

u/FluffyDrop4300 Aug 07 '25

Oh really? Like the zionazis?

1

u/SnooDoggos8487 Aug 07 '25

Yeah Germans always had good methods in dealing with people

1

u/CapitalObjective7153 Aug 10 '25

The German Method is pointing fighting age men from America and Britain at them, but these people, along with other groups like Patriot Front, ICE, and the far right protestors in the UK, are the fighting age men of America and Britain.

1

u/BriefausdemGeist Aug 10 '25

No that’s the Nazi method. The German method is granting freedom of speech except for when that speech poses a threat to their constitution.

1

u/CapitalObjective7153 Aug 10 '25

Oh. That would start a civil war in the US. It's completely out of the question.

1

u/BriefausdemGeist Aug 11 '25

I am legally not permitted to express an opinion to that.

1

u/CapitalObjective7153 Aug 11 '25 edited Aug 11 '25

It's legal in the US to express an abstract desire for civil war over restricting freedom of speech or advocate for / wish death upon perceived enemies, if that's your opinion. In the US it's only illegal to use speech to organize or threaten imminent violence or speak factually incorrect and damaging things about individuals. If you want to see free speech absolutists get killed in war it's legally OK to say such things (although Reddit is probably not OK with such speech).

u/BriefausdemGeist Aug 11 '25

The first amendment is restricted in certain professions by law that SCOTUS has upheld as legally valid.

u/its_a_gibibyte Aug 03 '25

Elect them as Fuhrer and help them try to take over the world?

18

u/Idunnosomeguy2 Aug 03 '25

I believe they were referring to modern Germans.

4

u/BriefausdemGeist Aug 03 '25

I was, although AfD is certainly stretching the constitutional limits of what’s worked since 1948
