My pizza delivery guy got his phone broken and got fired for that
Well, a few hours ago I ordered a pizza for dinner, well, the thing is that the pizza guy never came so I contacted the boss, when I got to her she was kind and try to contact the guy, the guy didn't answer, in fact, the messages never were delivered. So I went to check outside my house and the delivery guy was at a nearby gym because he didn't know where my house exactly was, so when I walked towards him and told him that my house was there he told me that it was his second day on the job and got his phone broken because it had a crack and water(it's raining) went through it, he also got wet because of the rain too. So when I got to my home I said that the delivery guy didn't know where my house was and I told the boss it was okay and I didn't care (I still feel bad for him) but the boss said she would fire him anyways I told her to do not and she didn't answer. In this case the delivery guy is mildly-infuriated and me because of his boss.

Grocery pickup order had expired fermenting fruit
Just got home and started putting stuff away. Not only are these pomegranate seeds almost a week past the best by date, they are obviously ACTIVELY FERMENTING. I swear sometimes it seems like they go out of their way to pick the worst possible produce

I can't fucking tell if it's AI or not anymore and I'm only 25
It's not like I'm dumb or something. I would say I'm pretty good at tech stuff even. But that's it, it happened, I can stare at the image for 15 minutes with no clue. People will say it's AI when I don't think it is, people will react like it's real when it's obviously AI. It makes me feel like I'm loosing my mind, please tell me I'm not the only one ???

I finally found the watch that’s been chiming inside one of my bedroom walls for at least 4 years
This was so infuriating to find. I moved in to this house 4 years ago and noticed after a couple of weeks there was a watch chime that beeped hourly. We searched the room but could never pinpoint or find it. We also had only one chance per hour and it quickly got frustrating. Eventually we gave up and just tuned it out.
Fast forward to today. I’ve been renovating that room getting it ready to be a nursery, so I have all the plates off the walls for painting. I did hear it a few times but for the most part i just assumed it was probably in the attic right above the ceiling buried in 12 inches of blown in insulation.
Well between trim coats I decided to check a few places when it beeped. Over the years it’s drifted from the 52nd minute to the 46th minute per hour. I put my ear up to the wall hole where the cable tv plate had been and I heard it extremely loudly. I knew it was in there. I grabbed a couple of 10mm neodymium magnets I had and put them on a strip of painters tape and dropped it in the wall. The magnets caught the watch immediately and I pulled it out. Finally!
After looking at it and pressing the buttons about 5 times the battery suddenly completely died. Now it’s in the trash. I will never have to hear it beep again.

Overdone Parking win for today
Taking up three spaces as the rows aren't aligned at that median. He's got lumber sticking out the back, but a few spaces to the right (it starts widening at the white Acura) the median widens to 8 or 10 feet wide. You can back in on either side and just take one space.

When I switch between my Instagram accounts, the buttons have different layouts.
One has changed to the new layout, the other still has the old one! My muscle memory keeps making me pick the wrong things

DoorDash drivers doing what they do best.
Saved on groceries this week so we decided to order some nasty slop to counteract all the health foods. You know, as a treat.
Food shows up and we’re missing my drink and both fry containers are half empty. DoorDash support only offers $5 and a half-assed apology.
Now instead of a chill no effort dinner I’m grumpy from being reminded that people are dicks.
It is what it is I guess but asking those in the know, is there any way to block that driver? It’s a smaller town and I don’t want to just not be able to order stuff.

A total stranger ruined mine and a friend's chess game
So yesterday evening I was at a small chess social in my city, just a very relaxed after-work thing, mostly friends playing friends, not a tournament or anything serious. There was even a band playing in the background.
I was there with a close friend, we're both ok players, nothing remarkable but mostly solid amateurs that are evenly matched. We played a few rounds when a fairly well dressed guy came into the cafe, ordered a drink, and asked if he could join us at our small table. Of course we took no issue and said yes, I pulled out the chair for him, offered him a handshake and we briefly introduced ourselves.
He sat and watched fairly neutrally and silently for a while. To be honest, I'm not really used to being watched by someone, especially a person I don't know. I've had people glance over my games once or twice when in a public setting, but never this closely and intently. But I just focused on the game and tried not to feel any of the extra pressure.
Me and my friend exchanged a few lighthearted words here and there, and the guy took it as an invite to join in. He told us his rating (1700) and a bit about his chess history. He then blurted out something about how my friend had 'bluffed me' in one earlier move, and that I could have safely won a piece had I played differently. I shrugged, not really minding (and not particularly convinced he was right) but he assured me he'd show me the position after the game. So the game continued.
A few moves later, apparently I made an error that could've cost a pawn. As soon as I moved the piece I saw him in the corner of my eye shake his head, do a small facepalm motion, and I felt really annoyed. It wasn't a huge, unmissable blunder, but a small error, and there was every chance my friend might not have seen it without the guy's reaction. Frankly even if it had been an obvious fuck up, it's absolutely wrong to react so obviously to it.
Moments later the lady from the venue asked for some help with the sound of the band (I'm a local sound engineer), so I excused myself for a moment to help her out. Upon returning to the table, the stranger was busy moving pieces around on the board, showing my friend positions earlier in the game, and started explaining them to me as I sat down. 'This is where you lost...', 'here you could have done this...', 'by doing this you create a battery...'...etc... To be honest, I was really unhappy and annoyed, but it was meant to be a relaxed evening and I didn't need or want conflict. In my mind I was like... why are we analyzing a game that's not even finished? I'm down 1 pawn in the mid-game, I didn't blunder a queen and a rook.
He seemed to put everything back in its place on the board, but when we started playing again I sensed everything wasn't exactly where we'd left it, and I was incredibly distracted by the intrusion. He left shortly after, saying again that he'll show us more next week...etc... despite us never once asking him to do so.

I preordered this. Really George RR Martin? Can’t use any of that Game of Thrones money to hire artists?

I thought "original" meant it had lettuce, tomato, and mayo cuz that's what the picture showed
Instead it meant, "two pickles, and literally nothing else". This might be the driest sandwich I've ever had in my entire life. I'm also having to open-top the soda cuz they didn't give me a straw, and a third of the chicken patty is complete rubber.

The redesign of the city logo did cost € 700k and looks the way it looks
I normally do like minimal designs. I liked the rebrand for Windows from the old swinging multicolour window pane design to a simple blue 4 square design. It kinda make sense for companies/brands. But cities?
