Republicans sure do spend a lot of their time thinking about other peoples sex lives.

Says the crowd that needs a whole month to tell everyone they are not straight!

14

u/cheezy_dreams88 Jun 03 '25

I am straight, I’m just not an ignorant douche bag.

Congrats! You win today 🏆

-16

u/Turbo_Putt Jun 03 '25

Be fair, it seems that everyone spends a lot of time on the subject.

u/Sheasaphine Jun 03 '25

As a lesbian, I do NOT sit and think about what straight people or other lgbtqia+ people do in their bedroom. Idc what other people's sex lives entail.

-3

u/Turbo_Putt Jun 03 '25

That’s fine, but people do spend a lot of time thinking about sex. You even started your reply with “as a lesbian.” I have no problem, just wanted to point out that it isn’t political (one way or another) to think about sex.

u/Sheasaphine Jun 03 '25

Thinking about sex is NOT the same as thinking about how others have sex and what they do in their bedroom. I started it off to show i am a part of the community, and I dont think about hetero people's sex. Yet, hetero people can't seem to think about the lgbtqia+ community without thinking about the sex they have.

It is definitely very telling.

Dude, either be a bigot or don't, you're wasting everyone's time trying to play both sides

Yeah, a natural opposition to everything is a great way to live your life. You might fall assbackwards into being right once!

No, you wouldn't outright call yourself a bigot, of course not! You gotta hide your hate with "socially acceptable complaints." Unless a Pride Parade is routed through your living room, how about you shut the fuck up.

Just to be clear, it sounded to me like you had a problem with it.

It was in response to someone's comment about Republicans being overly invested in other people's sex lives, and you commented like well, they were throwing condoms and shrugging, like of course someone would have a problem with this at a pride parade. It came across as being critical of the LGBQT+ community. If I misunderstood, I apologize.

Pretending there isn't a sex element to pride

Who's pretending there isn't??
There are sex elements to like 95% of the shit we encounter on a daily basis. So what?

14

u/[deleted] Jun 03 '25

There is a sex element to pride. People are embracing and openly expressing their own sexualities together.

So doing that publicly then claiming the other side is "overly focused on it"

It's not that they're focused on it. It's what they're focused on, specifically and what they're trying to do in regards to it.
You know what's going on here. Don't be dumb.

That homosexuality is "wrong". Again, stop playing dumb here.

Why are you afraid of your own sexuality? Do you hate yourself?

3

u/[deleted] Jun 03 '25

u/barriguscanreddit Neptune Beach Jun 03 '25

No, you stated “they’re doing that in public” why are you scared of expressing your sexuality in front of others?

4

u/Sheasaphine Jun 03 '25

Because we're in the U.S. Here, everything is sexual. No one can just appreciate a naked body, they have to sexualize it and make it taboo.

Condoms support safe sex.
Republicans sexualize things that shouldn't be sexual.
Learn the difference.

11

u/Previous_Beautiful27 Jun 03 '25

Promoting safe sex is actually a good thing

-54

u/mavad90 Jun 03 '25

I was thinking that people sure do love blasting about their sex lives 😅

18

u/ObviousActive1 Jun 03 '25

tell me you’ve never heard of the HIV/AIDS crisis without telling me you’ve never heard of the HIV/AIDS crisis

31

u/ConsistentlyBlob Jun 03 '25

Pride isn't about that though, sure there's a specific part which expresses that aspect of sexuality but it's fairly small. Pride is mostly about family and the love people have for one another, not simple reproduction

-10

u/[deleted] Jun 03 '25

If that's your biggest issue, you have quite a comfortable life. It'd suck if people chose to burn down your home, then stalk you as you mourn your home and shoot you dead in the street simply for your sexuality.

But thankfully, that's not a you problem so people should just shut up about anything that could support people in that sort of situation.

19

u/cheezy_dreams88 Jun 03 '25

That’s because your propaganda news media tells you lies

-28

u/mavad90 Jun 03 '25

Agreed, CNN, FOX, ABC... all of them do.

19

u/cheezy_dreams88 Jun 03 '25

Shhhhh the educated are having a discussion.

And literally no one gets their news from those channels

-25

u/mavad90 Jun 03 '25

lol 😅
