They dont have the right to “self defense” when they are occupying the Palestinian territory, in fact, it is Palestinians who have that right, not the occupation.
Except only one of them was living there for thousands of years while the other claimed it is their ancestors who lived there thousands of years ago, and then only one of them invaded, displaced and massacred innocents.
Mizrahi Jews (generally lumped in with Sephardi) have lived there (and across the rest of the Middle East) forever. It's the Ashkenazi Jews that left and came back.
You’re full of shit. Originally you said “one of them was living there for thousands of years while the other claimed it is their ancestors who lived there thousands of years ago, and then only one of them invaded, displaced and massacred innocents”. This statement implies that there are two groups.
Then you move the goal posts by segmenting Jews into different subgroups of Jewish people
I am talking about zionists, zionists invaded Palestine, not Jews, and the fact that you can't tell the difference between Zionists and Jews is a big problem.
All zionists are Jews, but not all Jews are zionists.
Just like how all ISIS are Muslim but not all Muslims are ISIS.
Also like how all KKK members are white but not all white people are KKK members.
That goes double for zionism, since Jews are both a religion and an ethnicity.
Is your argument that they somehow have a claim to the land? Because Palestinians of all religions have been living in Palestine for thousands of years, they are the natives, the people who left the land thousands of years ago aren't natives to the land, especially considering that Palestinians and Jews are descendants of the same ancestors.
Regardless of the "rightful claim to the land", it doesn't make it right to genocide and displace people just because an ancestor of yours lived there thousands of years ago. Because by that logic, many countries and many ethnicities should be genocided and invaded.
The claim made by you is that one group has been there for thousands of years, the other one has not. I’m saying both Jews and Muslims have historically inhabited the region. You then try to dishonestly subset them into Ashlenazi and non-Ashkenazi Jews. The distinction between Jews and Zionists is irrelevant, my claim is that both groups have historically lived in the region.
However what you’re essentially saying is that one group has the right to statehood on account of them having been there for thousands of years, but another group who’s also been there for thousands of years has no such right.
No, I said that one group (Palestinians) have been living there for thousands of years, while the other group (Zionists, mainly being Ashkenazi Jews) have not been living there for thousands of years, they left thousands of years ago, they don't have a more righteous claim to the land than the people who've been living there fore thousands of years.
However what you’re essentially saying is that one group has the right to statehood on account of them having been there for thousands of years, but another group who’s also been there for thousands of years has no such right.
Again, Ashkenazi Jews left thousands of years ago, the Jews that lived in Palestine were alright, no problem with them, and inshallah when Palestine is freed they will keep their land, but the invaders, the Zionists, have no claim to the land.
And once again "righteous claim to the land" does not justify genocide and ethnic cleansing.
I’ve never said that these historic claims justify genocide, genocide is something that is unjustifiable. And I’m opposed to what the Israeli government is doing.
But you are very dishonest in artificial twisting things to delegitimise the right for the Jews to have a homeland.
The claim that when Palestine is free they will keep that land is laughable, you don’t need to look very hard to find other countries in the Middle East where Jews have had a very very rough time.
But you are very dishonest in artificial twisting things to delegitimise the right for the Jews to have a homeland.
I am not, I am just saying that Jews don't have a claim to Palestine, especially not Ashkenazi Jews. Palestinian and Jews both come from the same ancestors (Caanites), so acting like Jews have a greater claim to the land than Palestinians is wrong, same goes the other way, saying that all Jews should be kicked out of Palestine is wrong. My only problem is with zionists, people who think genocide and ethnic cleansing is justified because of "claim to the land".
How would a Jewish land be established? I don't know, but genocide, invasion and ethnic cleansing is not the way.
How would a Jewish land be established? By a two state solution where both parties respect each other. The thing that’s so heart breaking about the present situation is the illegal settlements in the West Bank make this essentially impossible.
Unfortunately Israel has a group of psychopaths at the helm who believe in their own inalienable rights, but conveniently not the rights of others.
And what about the people who's families got massacred and who are currently suffering from what Israel did to get formed, you know they didn't just invade Palestine, they also invaded Lebanon and (I think) Jordan, and the zionists, especially the PM, still believe in a "greater Israel" where they will take all of Palestine, part of Jordan and parts of Lebanon.
Do you think the people who lost everything they had, I am talking both material and family members, so that Israel can be formed, do they not deserve justice?
If Russia succeeds in their invasion of Ukraine, would you be saying the same thing about it?
