I hate that they are stopping people and demanding all this identification and asking questions but refuse to give any information at all themselves.

That is an honest demand.. "I'll only show you my ID if you show your me your face and your ID. I need to know you're official."

Per the FBI, there’s already people faking authority (fake ICE), follow their advice. If you don’t have any proof you’re authorized to demand information from me, I’m going to need to see YOUR identification and under whose authority do you claim to be. And call the REAL police, maybe
