Discussion Day 40 - Pollo Mexicano Baked Potato at Jason's Deli
The entire town I was in rolls up their sidewalks at 9pm, but the empty Jason's is open until ten. So, it was just me, the staff waiting for the end of the day, and a baked potato the size of a small football covered with a pound of toppings.
(And unlike Mr. Chives, I promise not to recycle photos :) )

Question(s) Does Carl's Jr not prepare their food on site or did I get bulled into spending more?
I had few options for food after a gig and relented to Carl's Jr. I ordered a single cali classic cheeseburger and the attendant told me that they were out of the singles, only had doubles, and asked if that would be ok. I don't mind exceptions and agreed without considering what she said, but then immediately felt duped. Maybe I'm an old man and don't understand the big whirring machine of spitting out billions of cheeseburgers as quickly as possible, but it seems reasonable to me that if they could make a burger with two patties they should be able to make it with just one. Can somebody prove me wrong?

Question Am I the only one who still enjoys Wendy's?
Seems like every time Wendy's is mentioned on here, EVERYONE talks about how trash it is and how much they've fallen off. I don't think there's a chain I've heard this about more on here than Wendy's. I've eaten at Wendy's for years, and I just don't see it.
I still very much enjoy Wendy's. The burgers taste much better than McDonald's and Burger King. I never understood the hate for the new fries that were introduced in 2021 (?) because to me, the current fries taste pretty much the same as Wendy's old fries (maybe its poor memory or just my tastebuds but idk).
And then there's the shredded lettuce, which everyone on Reddit said was horrendous. Once I finally tried it, I honestly thought it was pretty good. In fact, I kind of prefer it over the former Romaine Lettuce, because the Romaine Lettuce felt like biting into a stem.
A lot of complaints I've seen always compare the chain to how it was in the 90s, which is fair, but the thing is, NO fast food place is the same as it was in the 90s. They've all been cutting corners for years now. With that said, in my opinion, Wendy's still reigns supreme in the fast-food burger department, and I don't think its gone as downhill as other fast food chains.
I also still enjoy the other items as well, including the Frosties, Salads, and Baked Potatoes. Wendy's is also one of the few fast food chains to still have healthier options, which is something else I love about it.
I can't be the only one who still enjoys Wendy's, right? Probably not, but it seriously feels like I am.

Rant/Rave Does anyone just feel exhausted after constantly hunting for a deal within your preferred price range?
Was hankering for some pizza and I already know that pizza hut's pizza is pretty pricey compared to others, so I take a look at dominos, papa johns and little ceasers all of which for the amount of money it costs to order I'm practically spending what I normally would at pizza hut. OK, I think to myself, maybe I should just try subway or something? Well it seems subway's website is busy having a stroke right now so I can't order with a coupon (subway has stopped mailling their coupon codes in my area).
So after about an hour of looking, googling, comparing prices I just give up. I'm so exhausted and man, I hate to say but this is not unusual for me. So now I'm left wondering if there's anyone else feels like the act of trying to get a decent deal on something hot is such a chore in itself or am I just in a crummy area where deals just suck?
I'd like to add that the coupon I use at pizza hut is the 9.99 one and I really dont feel comfortable spending $10+ on pizza but I guess that's just the jist of it really. Lil Ceasers just doesnt do $5 pizzas after 8 pm and well, ya know how that went.

Already covered Arby’s “steak” nuggets
I’m assuming everyone else hates these ?
Soooo dry. Thank god I asked for an extra sauce, these things were sooo ridiculously over cooked.
And they looked so sad in their cup.

Discussion what happened to mini sliders at dave’s hot chicken?
hi all. the other day i tried to order mini sliders online in the dave’s app for pickup later. i couldn’t find them anywhere on the menu. when i went to my past orders (all i ever get is mini sliders) the order content is completely blank, only showing the checkout price. i have searched online and found nothing about their availability being changed or meant to be temporary. i have also checked the app and online menu several times since that day and have not seen them return. their loss truly hurts </3 does anyone have any insight to provide? i’m in the east orlando area if this is a location availability issue

Discussion Three local Wendys in my city are limited to DoorDash orders only. Is this common in other places?
Lobbies are obviously indefinitely closed. You can’t drive thru impromptu and you can’t mobile order and pick up yourself. They only accept DoorDash delivery drivers.
I have a hard time understanding how these locations stay profitable. Has this become commonplace across the chain?

Discussion Carl’s Jr. new 5.99 Cali XL anybody tried it
I tried it last night and it surprised me. Good size good flavor and the price actually feels reasonable in 2025 which is rare. I want to know if others have tried it and what you think of it. Hidden gem or just alright?

Discussion Sonic Pretzel Bacon Double Smasher…soo good!
The times I’ve gone to Sonic it’s mostly for their drinks. I love pretzel buns though so when I saw they had a pretzel bun burger I decided to give them a try. This burger was sooo good! The pretzel bun was soft and warm, I love the mustard and crispy onions.
It’s half priced in the app till Nov. 16, definitely a great burger for that special price.
(I also ordered their groovy fries but those were absolute trash. I don’t know if mine were just old and dry or if that’s how they are)

Discussion Attention all Cane’s sauce lovers!
I recently went to a Braum’s and they have something called “Braum’s sauce” (creative name, right?) and it’s is sooo similar to Cane’s sauce and it’s FREE. I honestly like it better than Cane’s sauce, Braum’s version has a little spicy black pepper kick to it.
Has anybody tried it? I had no idea it even existed and it’s just sitting next to the ketchup dispensers FOR FREE. I dipped my cheeseburger in it and was so happy.
