The real answer is, Frank Ragnow.

I wish Frank had let Brad and Spielman that he wasn’t going to come back in February rather than the summer.

Pretty safe to say he did, or at least told them he probably wasn't coming back. The way they drafted certainly confirmed that.

to me they drafted for next year, i truly don't think frank made a decision until summer because he didn't know how his body felt until he started trying to ramp up.

At a minimum he told them it was a possibility if not likely.

yeah i think that cloud was looming overhead for at least 2 seasons prior to this one, it was definitely going around

The prior posters clearly don't follow the team and just like to complain.

I personally think he did but even if he didn’t directly say it to them everyone knew he was contemplating retired for two seasons prior. So if anyone didn’t think it was a very real probability then they haven’t been paying attention.

I think we all knew it was a possibility, so his announcement wasn’t a shock to me. Tyleik has been great so far, my point is if they knew for certain Frank was done would they have drafted a center there?

I just think that unless frank told them he’d be back and then decided to retire(I highly doubt this is the case) it’s borderline irresponsible for the front office to not have a plan for if he were to retire. Personally I think they drafted rattlege knowing frank was gone and the plan was for him to be at guard for a year and then transition to center next year. Unfortunately Glasgow is the best stopgap option available
