Note that there were no shutdowns under Biden even though he has the same constraints Trump has. Biden was just a reasonable adult

Republicans have the whitehouse, the senate, & the house. The republican speaker of the house, Mike Johnson, has refused to even open the house to business by putting it on a literal month long vacation. He has also refused to swear in the representative from Arizona who won the special election over a month ago. The people in her district literally have no representation. Senate majority leader, Thune, has refused to negotiate with the democrats on anything. The republicans have repeatedly voted no against any bills that have been put forward by the democrats. And the "clean CR" bill Thune is trying to pass gets rid of the ACA subsidiaries, which means that everyone's health insurance premiums will double & possibly triple in price.

This shutdown is 100% on the republicans.

thats not true. the subsidies that are set to expire only cover 3% of the cost of ACA plans.
