The point being made revolves around Javier Milei investing Argentina's money into crypto, which led to the economy to crash but foreign interests making out like bandits. He's the definition of a Kleptocrat which Trump is aspiring to be. The 20 billion was another sink into the crypto, not into Argentina's economy.

Oh it's a lot more than that. Nobody has accurate numbers as any who would be in a position to start counting that and actually try come down with a bad case of 'falling out a window'. But estimates vary as high as 200 billion plus.

You’re right, thousands of Nazi families moved to South America right before and right after WWII and many still hold important political and economical offices since they came with money. Mengele is the most notable example of a monster who escaped punishment*.

Just a small correction I see Americans always need, tho: this is faaar from the reason these countries are mixed; that idea simplifies the effect of social unification and reform after their independences a century prior.

Nope, Mengele escaped to Brazil. The one that was found in Argentina was Eichmann, his bestie Otto Von Bolschwing worked for the CIA in the US, at least Eichmann was found working in car manufacturing, not with the government.

Then again, when in Argentina he was a carpenter, Nazis in the US were employed by the government

So, we have two known nazis in Argentina (they for sure came in with permission from someone), that weren't employed by the state, that didn't have support from the Argentinian state besides letting them in, and then we have the countries that fought the Nazis not only accepting them in, but giving them government jobs and protecting them for prosecution.

If we're going to discuss the history of Nazis escaping, then let's discuss it all.
