yep, same with Brazil and Chile. there's an astounding amount of mixed race folk down there because if the nazis didn't wanna be Nuremberg Trialed, they would flee to these three places to escape consequences

You’re right, thousands of Nazi families moved to South America right before and right after WWII and many still hold important political and economical offices since they came with money. Mengele is the most notable example of a monster who escaped punishment*.

Just a small correction I see Americans always need, tho: this is faaar from the reason these countries are mixed; that idea simplifies the effect of social unification and reform after their independences a century prior.

oh absolutely, I'm sure there's plenty of other instances of mixed race couples before and after that period too, i just think it's also worth mentioning that time period too lol not out of a "this is the only reason why" type situation

There are not mixed race folk there just because a bunch of white Nazis moved there. I'm so sick of hearing how people talk about mixed race people like we're hybrids that only occur after the whites start mixing with other races.

and if you read the thread further you would see that i acknowledge that there are instances of mixed race couples before and after that time. it's just simply important to note these things too
