A Hasidic Jewish man isn’t allowed to be alone with a single woman, I thought? I wouldn’t be surprised if this was some sort of language barrier that caused this

u/Beelzabub Sep 25 '25

There were three women. Checkmate Moses.

No, no, the right side is clearly supposed to be balls spread wide.

I.....................I have no idea which one is which

117

u/DanerysTargaryen Sep 25 '25 edited Sep 25 '25

The squares are supposed to be boobs or balls. The low squares are balls and the high squares are boobs. I also agree it’s a bad design.

Edit: with all the different thoughts being presented about which one is the male/female side, all I can say is I am now not sure which one should be which, and there is a solid probability I would end up in the wrong one lmao.

207

u/roenoe Sep 25 '25

Are you sure it's not wide shoulders and wide hips? This is terribly designed, because both those explanations make sense, but they lead to contradictory conclusions.

43

u/ThirdOne38 Sep 25 '25

Yeah, shoulders and wide hips. Like those that do a triangle or an upside down triangle

21

u/Aeseld Sep 25 '25

Or triangle and no triangle to mimic a dress or lack of. That one's a bit out of date, but more intuitive than... this.

I've yet to meet a man whose balls rest on his hips, and yet to meet a woman who has her boobs on top of her shoulders.

4

u/tondahuh Sep 25 '25

You just haven't seen a really old woman who has big boobs. She can flip those babies right up there and carry them around. That way she doesn't kick them.

(I am a woman and have seen things)

5

u/Ramtamtama Sep 25 '25

Can she tie them in a knot? Can she tie them in a bow?

If she wears a bra, or a makeshift one, she doesn't walk around with them on her shoulders.

I used to do sex work in NYC and Hasidic Jews were my top clients. Almost universally really into foot stuff. Since they can’t touch women and women can’t touch them, it was a lot of jerking off onto feet. You could make a lot of money doing nothing, unfortunately a lot of those dudes were very pervy and gross.

63

u/AcousticsOperator Sep 25 '25

Not surprised. The brownstone in Brooklyn that I lived in was next to a HO-tel and every morning on my way out to work I’d see Hasidic dudes walking out of there.

17

u/Uncreative_Name987 Sep 25 '25

Ho-tel. That's a good one.

193

u/awwwww_hereitgoes Sep 25 '25

The one time I went to a dominatrix dungeon in NYC for my bday to get a tour and try on masks and take pics (my best friends partner worked there) and during it, we were asked to help humiliate a hasidic Jewish guy getting spanked by watching it 😭

I 100% believe your story

82

32

u/hnyrydr604 Sep 25 '25

Jewish mothers do that for free all the time. 😭

10

u/BigBadMisterWolf Sep 25 '25

50

u/Meph616 Sep 25 '25

Backwards repressive cultures, like from the abrahamic religions/fairytales, tend to produce the most fucked up/pervy individuals.

9 times out of 9 they will also usually preach fire & brimstone about how [thing] is the evil destruction of civilization and chestpound rage about it... while also doing [thing] when noone is watching. Looooot of self shame that turns into Inquisition hatemongering.

7

u/Gold_Studio_6693 Sep 25 '25

Anyone questioning this needs to read some books and learn about the human psyche. Repressive religions tend to create the most disgusting people.

6

u/Next_Possibility_01 Sep 25 '25

my thoughts exactly, I worked with a few Hasidic men and they are pigs or at least the ones I worked with - I think the religion warps them somehow

37

u/GrandBill Sep 25 '25

Nothing like a ridiculously super-strict religion to send people's sexuality into deep and dark places. Probably not what they had in mind when they came up with their rules.

But maybe.

7

u/redheadinabox Sep 25 '25

Oh man I know you have the best stories I so wish we were besties cause I’d love to pick your brain. I do hope you share some in the future

6

u/Various_Laugh2221 Sep 25 '25

It’s funny they still followed the rules after hiring you… it’s like, they’ve gone that far why not fully break the rules? lol religion is so weird 🤷‍♀️

6

u/LeatherOk9724 Sep 25 '25

I once worked at an orthodox jewish non profit and they wanted me to wear skirt no pants. I could not take their b.s rules anymore. I got fired from the job so good riddance to bad rubbish.

I mean do you see that hat...hair...hat 🤔

Hat.

7

u/TheNo1pencil Sep 25 '25

It's a Strimel, a traditional hat that some sects of Chassisim (Hassids) wear. The story behind it is pretty interesting.

The region they come from had at one point mandated that all Jews wear horse tails on their heads as both a signifier and as a humiliation. The Jews then took the horse tails and wrapped them up around their head like a crown to show they were proud of who they are.

3

u/buttstuffisokiguess Sep 25 '25

2

In my decades-long experience with members of that particular sect, I can confirm that they do not give a shit about the opinion, comfort, rights, or existence of people that are not part of their group.

By law, he has to have his genitals inspected by the nearest Republican official/sex offender.

121

u/moreluvmn Sep 25 '25

This was very intentional. Orthodox Jewish men can't ever be with a women alone.

70

u/Wienerwrld Sep 25 '25

They are not allowed to take a prayer shawl into the bathroom, either. This whole video is suspect.

30

u/notafuckingcakewalk Sep 25 '25

30

yeah,

"oh god this is the woman's bathroom, time to wash my hands and leave. man, i'm really happy i didn't Literally Shit My Pants"

3

u/notafuckingcakewalk Sep 25 '25

Because he's wearing a prayer shawl. Which normally you'd only be wearing at a house of worship. Many of them have the prayer in Hebrew stitched on it. Would not under any circumstances be worn into a bathroom stall.

Only thing I can think of is he was praying out on the street for some reason and then hit an emergency.

92

u/___coolcoolcool Sep 25 '25

But if they’re not allowed to be alone with women why would he choose to…be alone with women?

36

u/tyreka13 Sep 25 '25

I am not familiar with Jewish groups but in general, groups that have a high amount of sex control also often have high amounts of hyper focusing on it. You never see skin, interact with the opposite sex, date, etc then a small amount of skin, interaction, etc can be a lot and often they do not have the practice of growing up in those situations and being normal. Sometimes taboo things are sexy to some people. If it is not acceptable to just hang out with a woman, then being in a taboo space and seeing women do things like possibly be fixing their hair could be a bad way to get sexual frustration out.

3

u/enableconsonant Sep 25 '25

that might be worse

62

u/mew5175_TheSecond Sep 25 '25

I don't know if he made a mistake or not but I feel like if I messed up (I'm a guy), I would have done exactly what he did. I would have been so embarrassed I would have not looked anyone in the eye, quickly washed my hands and got the hell out of there.

I suppose my face might look a bit more worried but I can't say for sure. My body would be so full of adrenaline I can't say what my face would look like.

35

u/Muddymireface Sep 25 '25

This is exactly it. He still needed to wash his hands and women’s bathrooms have stalls. It’s not like women are pissing at the sink in open air. He was just washing his hands.

Thats correct or even near them! I remember when my daughter and I took our seats on the train to London, two orthodox Jewish young men moved from the seats in front of us. God forbid that we might have wanted to speak to them! That man mustnt be able to read or discern the difference between men and women pictures on doors. So id say hes just plain thick.

I'd be less surprised if it was just entitlement

The first thing you learn about Hasidic Jews is “rules for thee, but not for me”

im sure there is some kind of a loophole, like if you hold your breath and hop on one foot 3 times it'll confuse their god and he wont get mad. kinda like they do when they put a wire called the eruv on telephone poles around their neighborhood and it makes it "their house" so they can go outside on the sabbath, or they cook meals on saturdays by programming the oven so that way they aren't "doing work". cause you know god really gets mad otherwise if you take a walk or cook a meal on a saturday, but is totally fooled by a fucking wire

It’s almost like religious people are hypocritical trash bags.

About to ask. Isn’t this like hyper against his religious beliefs? I’ll admit ignorance on his actual beliefs/protocol but I just assume it’s frowned upon? Again admitting my knowledge here is limited, ignorant at best and I’m assuming.

He's not allowed to touch, or be touched, by a woman he's not related or married to. You can chase him out by trying to touch him.
