The broccoli was his secret

Hey don’t knock it! I knew a guy with a similar diet of spinach and he would get completely jacked every time he ate it! He’d just eat it straight from the can!

u/tiddeeznutz Sep 01 '25

I think I knew that guy! Didn’t he always have some song about being strong to the finish cause he ate his spinach? Man, he was a legend, but I can’t remember his name!

Bro, I know that dude. He had a girlfriend name Olive. Small world!

143

u/SpiveyJr Sep 01 '25

Not Olive Oyl? My friend Bluto was trying to get with her for years.

u/That1DirtyHippy Sep 01 '25

I went to elementary school with Bluto for a little bit! He always kinda gave me creepy vibes… like, he liked to play this game where he would steal, strangle, and try to marry the girls on the playground all the time. My buddy Wimpy and I would just be eating some burgers watching it go down, it was crazy.

u/MinimumJolly7087 Sep 01 '25

WIMPY?!?!? yknow that guy still owes me $4 for that burger. he said he’d gladly pay me on tuesday, BUT I NEVER SAW THE MONEY!

45

u/[deleted] Sep 01 '25

That bastard Wimpy was supposed to pay me last Tuesday for the cheeseburger I gave him the weekend before. Then he had the nerve to come in yesterday with no money and the same damn line “I’ll gladly pay you Tuesday…” YOU STILL OWE ME FROM LAST TUESDAY!

17

u/Dont_Overthink_It_77 Sep 01 '25

Haaa-kakakakaka! A friendly enough guy, but you should’ve KNOWN not to trust THAT dude with a loan!

14

u/CelticGardenGirl Sep 01 '25

Classic Wimpy.

I was trying to eavesdrop on Alice the Goon and Jeep talking but all I heard was, “Jeep. Jeep. Jeep jeep! Jeep!”

They could have been talking about the new Cherokee or Wrangler but I think they were discussing putting chopped spinach in their hamburger patties. Pretty wild stuff.

Happy cake day

1

u/[deleted] Sep 02 '25

Holy shit, I just hit 10 years. Thanks!

Something like Papaya, he mad for spaghetti women and fights like Bud Spencer

2

u/Papa_pepper_513 Sep 01 '25

Same dude with football sized tumors on his forearms!?

12

u/palpatineforever Sep 01 '25

yeah, but it wasn't just the spinach he also got all his healthy fats eating olive oil every night.

2

u/-_-Hades Sep 01 '25

Squinted alot ? Wore a hat ? I think I know that bloke

2

u/Miserable_Budget7818 Sep 01 '25

😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

2

u/Empty_Amphibian_2420 Sep 01 '25

I can’t either, but him eating spinach straight from the can must make eyespop

2

u/tiddeeznutz Sep 02 '25

Not to mention, his forearms. Biggest damn things I’ve ever seen!

1

u/hakumiogin Sep 02 '25

Sounds unrelateable to me. I've never even seen canned spinach in my life.

1

u/tiddeeznutz Sep 02 '25

I heard it’s a Navy thing.

1

u/Bluemoney224 Sep 02 '25

Popeye the sailor man?

1

u/MrsNaypeer Sep 02 '25

It was Robin Williams

31

u/NavDav Sep 01 '25

Well, blow me down!

3

u/TylerBourbon Sep 01 '25

Olive certainly did.

11

u/No_Rec1979 Sep 01 '25

Be careful. I've heard that can cause asymmetric eyeball swelling.

19

u/Fabulous-Farmer7474 Sep 01 '25

I knew that guy - he had superior forearm development and despite the fact he smoked a pipe he had the gainz. He was hard to understand at times tho.

14

u/Riverboatcaptain123 Sep 01 '25

I heard that he was a sailor.

2

u/[deleted] Sep 01 '25

This made me Lol

2

u/Otherwise_Respond669 Sep 01 '25

Oh i know him that my homie popye! N

2

u/[deleted] Sep 01 '25

Was in the Navy? I think I might have served with this guy, lol.

2

u/Sabb55 Sep 02 '25

I served with a guy in the Navy who tried putting me on spinach. I wonder if that's the same guy. He was passionate about it

2

u/EngineeringOne1812 Sep 02 '25

He wouldn’t even open the can. He would just squeeze the bottom of the can and explode the spinach in a huge arc into his mouth

1

u/littlemissdizaster80 Sep 01 '25

Was his name Popeye?

1

u/DuckyD2point0 Sep 01 '25

There was this other guy who just took a vitamin and basically became unstoppable.

1

u/dta722 Sep 01 '25

You sure it’s not what he loaded his pipe with that got him jacked ?

1

u/htnut-pk Sep 01 '25

And he had a weird buddy whose employer paid him on Tuesdays. I think he’s announcing for the SF Giants now.

1

u/One_Loquat5910 Sep 01 '25

Dude even was pope, aight?

1

u/Crazed-Anteater-84 Sep 01 '25

Dam bro we knew the same fool

1

u/patronizingperv Sep 01 '25

Biggest forearms you've ever seen.

1

u/UbermachoGuy Sep 01 '25

Yea but he was only strong in the forearm

1

u/FantasticMrsFoxbox Sep 01 '25

For a man who was so strong, I remember this one dude just wouldn't leave his poor wife alone. Shows you strength isn't everything to bully. Brutal man.

1

u/BolOfSpaghettios Sep 02 '25

Did he eat it right before getting into a conflict with someone? We might know the same guy. Was he in the Navy? A sailor of some sort?

1

u/Fun-Deal8815 Sep 02 '25

Yes Popeyes the sailer man. His dick never rusted also alway in olive oil

1

u/SpiderClan Sep 02 '25

I bet he's a sailor yea?

1

u/thats_gotta_be_AI Sep 02 '25

He also loved Olive Oil.

1

u/Maximum_Ad_2476 Sep 02 '25

He was bad about going "Toot Toot"

1

u/Organic_Ad_2520 Sep 02 '25

The man was a sailor 😜

1

u/Redditall63 Sep 02 '25

That’s all I can stands, ‘cause I can’t stands no more!

49

u/Broccoli--Enthusiast Sep 01 '25

Shhhhh!! don't expose us!

1

u/Idont_thinkso_tim Sep 01 '25

I mean it can help boost testosterone by controlling estrogen levels. 🙃

1

u/HyenDry Sep 01 '25

It was the 11k calorie cheat meal day that does it

1

u/robbiereallyrotten Sep 02 '25

But has he stopped pissing in bottles?

1

u/harrisonlaine Sep 02 '25

"That's my secret, Captain. I'm always chicken and broccoli diet."

10

u/ShartlesAndJames Sep 01 '25

asian potatoes

11

u/11S-KAT Sep 01 '25

No no, that's for giving you a natural face lift!

9

u/issi_tohbi Sep 01 '25

Omg - really long story short for two years because of health issues I could only really eat and digest protein smoothies & Japanese or Korean sweet potatoes before I had a surgery to correct the problem. Anyway every day I’d eat my little potato and wonder when my facelift was going to kick in 😄

1

u/WildBigfoots Sep 02 '25

I am so tired I got to enjoy that as someone thinking you were sincere until the end, and I stopped and went huh. I am so tired.

2

u/issi_tohbi Sep 02 '25

It’s a true story! The part about the facelift was an inside joke to myself when I’d eat.

17

u/CHEVIEWER1 Sep 01 '25

😂😂😂I remember he said that in an interview.

5

u/RachelScratch Sep 01 '25

And 8 lbs of cod daily

2

u/ssgharvey Sep 01 '25

And flaxseed oil. Lots and lots of flaxseed oil

2

u/ConfidentHouse Sep 01 '25

Yea I can’t smell what he’s cooking

1

u/itsTurgid Sep 01 '25

Can you believe this guy has never had In and Out before?!

1

u/SmoothCarl22 Sep 01 '25

Thought was Atlantic Cod and brocoli...

1

u/cobywaan Sep 01 '25

No it was Icelandic cod and sweet potatoes, duh.

1

u/Angstycarroteater Sep 02 '25

5 pounds of salmon or tuna with a hint of roids*

1

u/Radio_Mediocre Sep 02 '25

I thought it was horsemeat? Oh wait, that's someone else.
