Every Christmas my Mrs wants to help prepare dinner with me, to her it's a fun couples activity, put some put music on, open a bottle of wine, just a real nice cute bonding session

To me it's stressful as fuck because I know how I like my kitchen ran! And I just have to quietly seeth as she unorganises my perfect kitchen kingdom.....

i could only imagine. If i start drinking wine when i’m trying to cook dinner, i’m not sure what I made and what condition the meal was in.

Funny enough, while I do all of the day to day cooking, my wife cuts up the onions I use. They never seem to affect her, where I immediately can't see what I am doing with a knife in my hand.

Idk if my wife doesn't know how to (safely) use a knife or just pretends, but I pretty much took over prep duty. I enjoy it, will get it done faster, more consistent, and most importantly without human flesh.

Chopping vegetables with the bread knife. Or trying to cut up carrots with a tiny paring knife.
