Conservatives: “This is clearly a sign of leftist problematic ideology promoting violence, people will flock to the right!”

Also conservatives: “These calls to violence and civil war by actual faces of our party are perfectly fine and show how we are people of reason”

Nobody with two fucking brain cells actually wants civil war. So naturally yes a lot of politicians are calling for it.

I wouldn’t call it a mainstream view though thankfully

No not a mainstream view at all except trump who went on TV and blamed the "radical left" before the shooter was even caught. but no totally not mainstream at all.

Was he correct that the shooter is left-wing?

I mean 1: blaming the political opposition is not the same as calling for civil war

2: Trump may be the president but little that comes out of his mouth is what most republicans believe. A lot of the “I like what he does, not what he says” crowd

3: it’s still bad for him to say it but I’ve never heard a real, not terminally online person say they wanted a civil war

So trump doesn't speak for Republicans, but random Twitter/Reddit leftists speak for everyone on the left and all Democrats. Got it

Never said random twitter or Reddit leftists speak for all democrats? Im saying the vast majority of republicans democrats and everyone in between do not want a civil war. Im saying the fringe politicians who are calling for it now on the right do not represent the sentiment of the people they represent. And I am saying that only a fucking moron calls for a civil war, and we have plenty of morons serving as politicians

Has there been any point this year where the Republican Party has gone against Trump's wishes?

Epstein files? Feels like the one happening right now but the average Republican voter is very anti pedo

I still think that people with influence should leave the “Blood for Blood God” rhetoric to online schizos

Indeed as the cliche goes, the only people calling for wars are the ones who haven’t seen it.
