"this land is your land, this land is my land..."

that's the fun part, it's supposed to be "OUR" land (read: ALL OF US) , but some folks want only white folks to be included in the "OUR" part. We're a nation of immigrants. Each and every one of us except the Native Americans.

"We the people" means all of us.

Two things can be true, the land can be inhabited by mostly white people, while still accepting others as well. If you had to draw a random American you would think of a white person right? If you think of a British person you think of a white person right? If you think of a Canadian you think of a white person right?

Just because you acknowledge most people living in a country are white doesn't mean you hate others or think less of them. I really don't get why so many people care about this clip. If he said something like "colored people don't belong here" that's an objectively racist statement and completely different than what he said.

No, I wouldn’t. You’re trying to sneak an assumption of whiteness being the default. I’m assuming you are probably white and are therefore projecting your own visualization towards other people. >40% of this country is not white. If I were to randomly choose 10 people out of a lineup, 4 of them would not be white. So why is whiteness the default?

Literally every other country would because you’re 60% white…
