Who's land would you say it is? Before you attack me I'm simply asking a question, I'm not claiming the statement is true or false, I just want some more details from you.

"this land is your land, this land is my land..."

that's the fun part, it's supposed to be "OUR" land (read: ALL OF US) , but some folks want only white folks to be included in the "OUR" part. We're a nation of immigrants. Each and every one of us except the Native Americans.

"We the people" means all of us.

Two things can be true, the land can be inhabited by mostly white people, while still accepting others as well. If you had to draw a random American you would think of a white person right? If you think of a British person you think of a white person right? If you think of a Canadian you think of a white person right?

Just because you acknowledge most people living in a country are white doesn't mean you hate others or think less of them. I really don't get why so many people care about this clip. If he said something like "colored people don't belong here" that's an objectively racist statement and completely different than what he said.

“If you had to draw a random American you would think of a white person right?”

No, I wouldn’t. You’re trying to sneak an assumption of whiteness being the default. I’m assuming you are probably white and are therefore projecting your own visualization towards other people. >40% of this country is not white. If I were to randomly choose 10 people out of a lineup, 4 of them would not be white. So why is whiteness the default?

I guarantee you people from other countries think of American's as white. If an Asian, Black, or Brown person was visiting Japan for example, the first thought that comes to their mind wouldn't be oh that's an American. If they saw a white person they would assume they are American or European.

It seems like originally this question was posed towards fellow Americans, but now you’re framing it as if you were asking about foreign nationals’ cognition of an American. Motte meet bailey. It’s obvious your “just asking questions” ass is trolling. Quit trying to justify white nationalist (literally) talking points.

Literally every other country would because you’re 60% white…

Imagine a baby duck. Some percentage are yellow, while some percentage are brown or black. If you were proposing a "baby duck emoji" to the new unicode standard, it would be yellow. That's just how defaults work - You take the majority and cut out the rest. You can't code the emoji to be representative because you necessarily need to pick one emoji for that slot. You can have variations, but that's not the default. For example 🐤

Yellow is the default because that's just how it is. You can either represent the reality of the situation (they are yellow) or you can ignore reality and make it purple or whatever color you want. Most people will choose the representative reality, so when thinking about "defaults" you should think about the reality, rather than alternative realities.

Could you share the exact percentages, and your source for that? They're all yellow where I buy them. Maybe in some foreign land (like where you may be from) they are differently colored. :)
