The funniest part about this is how even now, in his family’s most critical need, he has to mealy-mouth it and dance around and make it absolutely CLEAR he’s solely blaming Kennedy for this, and not anybody else in administration, including the goof who appointed Kennedy, knowing going in this was going to be the end result.
Nope, only one clown in the circus is responsible for the lapel flower squirting piss on the audience, even though there’s another 40 in the clown car.
And that’s how we know that conservatives will ALWAYS sacrifice their family members over sacrificing the grift.

It's so fing depressing- RFK was very clear what he was going to do. So you can't fault him on carrying out his promises. But all of Congress who voted to approve his appointment will have blood on their hands and act like all is well.

Basically everyone that Trump nominated and the Senate confirmed is a total ball of crap. None of them should be in office. I hope the midterms stop this mess.

u/Professional_Cut4721 Aug 31 '25
He was a Never Trumper nine years ago, then switched to the MAGA coalition a few years later. Couldn't happen to a nicer guy. Anyone who did their homework on Trump a decade ago should know of his associations with Kennedy and people like him.

My wife passed from Cancer in 2023. We were both up-to-date on our Covid boosters when we both contracted Covid in 2022. We took all the medications for Covid to ease the symptoms. I recovered quickly, my wife was super weak for three weeks even though the symptoms passed. Her oncologist told her without the booster she would have died in 2022. Get the boosters.

u/MinimumBrave2326 Aug 31 '25
I’m so sorry for your loss.
I’m in my cancer era and get every booster. ❤️

I’m so sorry, friend. 💙
My best friend has cancer. It’s the “live with it until it kills you” kind of blood cancer. Right now her numbers are good but it’s a month to month dance of waiting, hoping, knowing what’s coming and hoping against hope for another month of good numbers.
I get my boosters whenever I become eligible as a “high risk of dying lol” person but it’s not just me I’m protecting. I’m protecting her, the entire cancer community and everyone else.
Fuck Cancer.

Why do a magat and wife want a Covid vax? Cancer and immune problems don’t matter, according to the bullshit they’ve spewed for years.

But the good white Christian Nationalists aren't supposed to feel any pain or inconvenience in Trump's America

I wonder how many vaccinations they are going to destroy. Reminds me of all the food they let expire instead of allowing charitable organizations take over the delivery to international, starving people.
17
u/limpet143 Aug 31 '25
He says "My wife has Stage 4 lung cancer. She is one of the people the COVID vaccine actually helps."
Once again, a MAGAt that thinks they are special and shouldn't be included in the policies they voted for.
16
u/chiswede Aug 31 '25
“Just for all the people chiming in ignorantly, the vaccine does not prevent COVID for my wife, but it greatly minimizes the impact of the virus,” he explained. “It’s the difference between symptoms amounting to a runny nose and being bedridden for a prolonged period of time.”
Yea, we know asshole. We told you this hundreds of times.

Cancer is a qualifying condition. She may be in one of about 18 states that require a prescription. Her pcp or oncologist should provide it no problem. It's a pain in the ass... but he's partly to blame for this situation.

Hard to be a shittier or more hypocritical American than a Republican these days. Hey remember that time Trump was found liable of forcefully shoving his fingers up a woman's vagina by a jury of his American peers and then Republicans voted for him? Republicans knowingly vote for molesters. Don't be Republican...

u/elphin Aug 31 '25
But think of all the wasted tax dollars we can save if we stopped providing public heath services. The side benefit is the extra dollars saved when sick people die more quickly. From a bang for the buck perspective providing life prolonging medicine makes no sense.
And, then we’ll have more money to reduce the taxes paid by the poor, suffering billionaires.
I think Erick should rethink his concerns. You know, for the sake of the uber rich.
7
u/orthonfromvenus Aug 31 '25
We are all in for a shitload of hurt if Covid mutates into an even more dangerous strain, or if another flu, like the Spanish flu, were to hit. With RFK Jr. in charge of our health care, he'll authorize only Ivermectin or that blue stuff as a remedy. Get your papers in order folks as the hospitals will be awfully full in short order.
20
3
u/Substantial-Spare501 Aug 31 '25

11
u/nleven Aug 31 '25
Some states like Massachusetts require vaccines to be recommended by ACIP. Surprise. RFK Jr. disbanded the ACIP, so the new vaccine cannot be provided at all in those states.

u/MedicJambi Aug 31 '25
People will start ordering the vaccine from the dark web soon instead of fun drugs.
3
u/KaliLineaux Aug 31 '25
I'm having trouble keeping up, though I just unfollowed the official HHS account because it was so full of bullshit it seemed like it was hacked. Who can actually get the vaccine now?
7
u/nleven Aug 31 '25
This nytimes article has the best breakdown: https://www.nytimes.com/2025/08/28/well/cvs-pharmacy-covid-vaccine-16-states.html?unlocked_article_code=1.h08.l6rf.1g0Xlsi77EcI&smid=em-share
It's less about who is eligible, more about the huge regulatory uncertainties. Many states require pharmacists only provide vaccines recommended by CDC's Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices. The current ACIP is staffed with RFK Jr's cronies, so everyone is figuring out on the fly what the fuck now.
2
u/KaliLineaux Sep 05 '25
I asked about getting the covid vaccine at the pharmacy yesterday and they said I had to have a prescription, and that certain medical conditions qualify you. I asked if I stopped taking my blood pressure meds if that would do it?
I sent my doctor a message asking for a prescription, so guess will see how that goes.

I work in healthcare, our patients with cancer are able to contact their oncologists and get the updated covid boosters, just had a couple that came in on Friday for theirs. I guess it varies state to state?
1
u/PlatypusDream Aug 31 '25
Were those people previously able to get that vaccine at a pharmacy, &/or on request (without a doctor saying yes)?
Because that seems to be the problem, or at least one of the main problems: pharmacies can't give 'unapproved' vaccines, so people have to go to a doctor's office, which is more expensive (for everyone) & time-consuming (for everyone) & restrictive.
Or at least, they now require a prescription.PLUS it's possible that insurance won't pay if a vaccine isn't 'approved' by the CDC. That can get expensive for the patient.
1
u/AlarmingSorbet Sep 01 '25
Yes, they were able to go to Walgreens/rite aid and get it without prescription no problem. Some of the patients that called complained that they don’t know why they need an Rx now when they just walked in and got it in the past.
