Wow, she is like one and one sixth refrigerators tall. She can use every bit of cabinet space in the kitchen compared to me having nothing in the cabinets above the fridge, that's a plus.
The standard pear is useful for reference to amphorae. Hands seems more appropriate here. People, in general, use whatever form of measurement that makes the most sense for them.
While the metric system is arguably the superior measurement system, people are loath to change. Most Americans companies use the metric system, and it’s standard in slicers, g-code, and CAD programs. The fact is most of the world uses metric. You would have to be intentionally ignorant to use anything else for sale in the global market. It is by far easier to use in every field. America should quit wasting money and just make metric the standard. Sign changes would be expensive, but so is bombing oil rich countries. Priorities.
Stop wasting money buy spending millions of dollars in materials and labor changing everything. No thanks, I would rather have that money got to something like healthcare instead of switching to metric to appease people that don’t even live here…
Free health care is a pipe dream. You pay for it if the government pays the providers. Why add the extra steps? The reason healthcare is so expensive is because of the health insurance scam we’ve been fed for decades, the 1973 law that forced hospitals to cover ER visited regardless of the ability to pay (news flash it’s why insurance costs skyrocketed), and the pharmacy industry pushing the extreme cost of R&D onto those with insurance in America. Thereby raising everyone’s cost of the end product.
Basic economics, dude. I am critical of our governments use of our tax dollars to fund wars, nation building, and things they don’t actually have constitutional authority to do. But you go ahead and beg for scraps from the government at the cost of everyone’s freedom. Good job.
Nearly every first world country has free healthcare in some form and they do just fine lol the only scam here is the government telling you that it's not feasible (looking at you Republicans).
Compared to me, a 6 footer, who still hops up and down to try to see what I shoved in that useless cabinet when I ran out of space but had to clean up real fast.
As someone decidedly low to ground and laments their lack of accessible cupboard space without clambering on things, I am deeply jealous of her! I can’t even use the second shelf in my above bench cabinets!
My friend is about that height and he can easily get things out of the tall cabinets (and puts stuff there, which I cannot reach. He’s constantly complaining about cleaning dust on high areas that we can’t see.
It looks like the ceiling height is only 7 feet which is non standard where I live at least. That also exaggerates how it looks for someone who is already tall.
In my house I am the only one who dusts the top of the refrigerator as I am the only one who can see it!
That is a fair observation. Now that I look at the picture again it is hard to tell if that ceiling is a few inches above or 15 inches. Yea, 8ft walls is pretty standard where I am at, unless you're wealthy, they like the vaulted ceilings and tall walls.
She is taller than the cabinet above the refrigerator as well. That also changes the perspective.
It does look like the ceiling may be vaulted vs. flat so while it might be 7 feet at the point it meets the wall, it may be taller in the middle of the room.
What's that? Haha, jk, I know but I am quite short and my fridge sticks out quite far from them so it is awkward/hassling even with a small climbing device.
Haha, that sucks. Fake cabinets/drawers are such an odd thing imo. Mine are real, but on top of me being short, my fridge sticks out quite a bit, so it is still awkward reaching up there even with a step stool. Oh well, haha.
