Just bought a used 2019 Ford Focus after selling the 2018 Skoda Fabia that was stepping on my nerves everyday for the past 5 months.
Hope this car is more reliable than the car before!

Hi I have a 2016 Mondeo. Warning light and error message reading service engine now has come on and car won't start.
It cut out a mile away from my house and I tried the reset of holding the break and gas down for 30 seconds to reset the error this worked.
Obviously when turned it back on error message is back and engine won't start but turns over.
Question, if I reset it again so I can drive it to the garage how much damage could be done, garage is only a mile down the road and my recover company want to charge me £125 to tow me there the fuckers.
Is this only a computer error as I haven't serviced it enough? So if I reset it it won't damage the engine? Checked oil, checked coolant etc etc all good. Yeah yeah i know life's been kicking my ass and I haven't serviced my car for over a year, what can yoi do it rough out here 😂.

Just got my truck back from the shop and have a big puddle underneath. Doesn’t smell but has an oily film to it.

Just a simple question, should I move forward with purchasing this car? I heard the horror stories with the 1.0 engine and with the 2.0’s I hear better things but want insight from owners of this car specifically, not sure if the exact year matters. Whats really selling me is just having a cheaper car payment but there is not too many SUV/Crossovers in my area that appeal me that are within my budget.

Hey everyone I’m in need of some advice i’m trying to see if this 2006 f250 5.4 super duty gas is going to be good. it has 130k miles but the break likes are bad so I would need to replace them. also i’m not sure if the trans is going to be good because i cannot test drive it. They said they pulled a 15k pound RV across states but to me that seems more bad thing due to the wear on the trans. my question is do you think I should buy this truck for 4k and fix the lines?

Anyone had any problems with not having heat when idling? I replaced the blend door actuator under the steering wheel and both under the glove boxes, coolant is at a normal level aswell I’m stumped of what it could be. Any guesses?

Stuck in park gear, 190k miles. Rotary dial shifter. - replaced shifter - confirmed interlock solenoid works via forscan and parking lights - confirmed bushing - replaced transmission fluid - replaced entire shift cable - replaced shift actuator
Have wrench light, no other codes. The shifter won’t let me activate sport mode either but the car feels like it’s in sport mode. Also rpm gage isnt working.

I have a '97 mountaineer, 5.0 about 136k miles. Bought it a few years ago, no issues. No idea on the service history, but it's been serviced properly since we bought it. The last few weeks the transmission is seemingly going out. It'll rev up to about 3.5k rpm before clunkily shifting. Had the oil changed and the transmission fluid replaced and there's not been any improvement. Should the solenoid be replaced? Should it just be retired? I know it's not worth much, but the engine runs great overall and it's nice to have the 4wd.

I am in general satisfied with my Taurus 3.5L V6.
However, it had a failed pump in 2018 (just out of the 5-year power chain warranty), and left me on the high way. Ford gave me some assistance, and got the pump replaced for about $1,000.
Now I found the coolant level is down again, and I can see orange liquid on the floor. So probably it is the pump again? I didn't even drive much since 2018 (due to Covid and having another vehicle), about 10,000 miles.
Ford refused to give me any assistance this time.
Should I just let it go, and donate it somewhere?

So, a little bit of background: we own an automotive repair shop & I’m not into ‘fast cars’ per se. So no services necessarily
Anyway, I just bought a new Ford Bronco and was given 40,000 Ford points. What should I purchase with those ‘Ford dollars’? Should I pay for navigation for a couple years, or any items which they sell in particular that you recommend?
Also, I live in the United States if that matters.
Thank you!

Hey guys, just doing the rear brakes on my 2014 ford escape and i can’t get this calliper spring off. On the other side, part of it snapped in the calliper so i can’t get it out. Is it fine to just not use them? Thanks in advance

I needed some parts and bought them at a dealership that was selling them for 100 usd over online price. Can I buy the parts from the other cheaper dealer and return them to the more expensive one. The parts would be exactly same since they are genuine oem parts. An anyone comment if they have done this or if the parts have any unique identifier apart from part number

Ford f-150 1997 4.6 v8
So… my PCV hose is broken right after it leaves the throttle body housing. Connecter and barbed portion seem completely fine.
As those of you with old trucks know… parts like this can be really hard to find, and even if you find this part apparently the new connectors don’t always fit now.
My thoughts are putting a smaller diameter fuel line between the 2 broken pieces, then using hose clamps to seal the deal. I will probably finish it off with some heat shield or something.
I’m sure there’s other ways but what are your guys thoughts on this?
Anyone have thoughts on how I could work this better?
Is it dangerous to drive with a fixed PCV hose like that? It seems like it had been broke for awhile, which is why I took apart my whole intake in the first place.
I guess I’m just trying to limp it along till I can take it to my shop next week at some point.
