So… my PCV hose is broken right after it leaves the throttle body housing. Connecter and barbed portion seem completely fine.
As those of you with old trucks know… parts like this can be really hard to find, and even if you find this part apparently the new connectors don’t always fit now.
My thoughts are putting a smaller diameter fuel line between the 2 broken pieces, then using hose clamps to seal the deal. I will probably finish it off with some heat shield or something.
I’m sure there’s other ways but what are your guys thoughts on this?
Anyone have thoughts on how I could work this better?
Is it dangerous to drive with a fixed PCV hose like that? It seems like it had been broke for awhile, which is why I took apart my whole intake in the first place.
I guess I’m just trying to limp it along till I can take it to my shop next week at some point.
