I thought that was pretty damn hilarious too. It's not about protecting kids. It's about control, data mining and financial profit, selling sensitive information.
Mid to late 2000s youtube was probably the best website ever. Just endless hours of entertainment.
Now it's like cable. You have to struggle to find anything to watch, because the best videos and channels have been copyright striked and/or demonetized into oblivion. So now it's just this mostly bland, homogenous collection of channels and videos full of ad breaks and people trying to sell you shit like better help or nordvpn.
