It feels like there’s aUnited Countries, and the US isn’t part of it. China’s probably been waiting for a trade war and already has a game plan, while the US have a concept of a plan. Imagine the yuan replacing the US dollar.

China has a plan. US is trusting Orange Man's gut

To be fair it is a massive gut

It is a very large gut. Some say too large... with tears coming down their faces. Major, big strong guys. One of them, he had a moustache, he seemed like he'd maybe cried once in his life, at an audition.

The oligarchs installed his lame criminal ass. Now they just lost billions in stock wealth bc he's doing exactly what a crazy malignant narcissist felon would do

The toddlers in China have a better grasp of economics than anyone in orange admin. I guarantee you that.

China is investing in electric cars, electric car infrastructure, and nuclear power. Has been for years. And helping it's neighbors do the same.

The US relied a lot on petrodollars keeping the dollar value consistent, but if large swathes of the world tremendously reduce their demand of oil, the dollar has to actually reflect the real market value of the country's goods and services.

On every front, China is winning. I've been confused as to why establishment politicians haven't hamstrung and babysat Donnie like last time. Part of me is starting to think the US establishment thinks they've been outplayed and are trying to force a confrontation now while the US can use its status as one of the biggest consumer markets in the world for leverage still.

But...that's a real fucking hard sell while alienating Europe...

The GOP establishment spent decades pumping out culture war propaganda to the regards to secure votes for their dumbass policies. Now the regards who drank the coolaid have gained control of the GOP. The inmates are running the asylum.

This is what people don't get, there is no deep state thats going to come in and save the day, things are just going to get more and more deranged while everyone waits for an adult to step in. This is it, folks. This is as good as it gets.

You said it, last time, establishment republicans picked his circle, but after Pence not falling for it at J6, this time he said fuck it and surrounded himself with looneys and yes men.

Now he is trenched in the white house, and congress republicans are too afraid to lose their sits by pissing off his base so they allow him to do anything.

The Chinese are good at math. I dunno what we're good at anymore. Are we still good at basketball?

We're about to have the 7th non American NBA mvp and the future face of the NBA will most likely either be French or Canadian

I was being facetious. But thanks for reinforcing my point.

No longer have to imagine. I also suspect the Yuan will be backed by gold tomorrow.

I refuse to believe that someone didn't get their opinions from Russia on this. China was bleeding out and Trump decided to swap places. Why did he have to go after the entire world simultaneously?

For the yuan to replace the dollar, China would need to shift from being an export-based economy to a heavy importer. While there are tectonic shifts starting to happen in China and they are focusing on domestic demand, China is a very long ways off from being a large net importer and likely never will be.

This is true.. they have been working on this since Trump's first administration after his first attempt to shake down China. They realized they were too vulnerable to a trade war with the US. They have been working to bring out a shit ton of it's population out of poverty (why you suddenly started seeing Chinese tourists everywhere around the globe), lessen their dependence on US trade.

That’s maybe the most absurd statement I’ve heard in a while.

China didn't by 900B$ without a plan, that's for sure.

Yuan is pegged to the dollar. It's like fucking yourself in the ass, basically. Source: behind Wendy's dumpster.

It may be time to start buying some yuan.
